- Hello dear people!
Many of you found our humble channel due to video about supermarket for poor russians (spoiler: everyone can shop there)
• Supermarket for poor p...
Many of you ask to show this supermarket after sanctions. Yes the prices changed even in this land of low grade weatlh... May be they went down?? Let's check it out!!!

I live in Vancouver, Canada. Petrol here is the most expensive in Canada. Yesterday I paid $2.02 Canadian dollars per litre for petrol. Today $1.00 Canadian is 58 rubles. So,...your 10 liters of petrol would cost 1172 rubles?!? OUCH!! If you come to Vancouver,....bring petrol!!
Thank you Natasha. The prices for us rural living people here in the northeast have gone up drastically. I was in a store and the price of eggs $3.65 per dozen (12). Glad we have our own chickens! We don't do much grocery shopping except for the paper products, pasta and fresh vegetables. We grow a big garden and put food in jars and freezer and root cellar.
Homegrown and homemade food is the best!!!❤ it requires a lot of efforts but when made with love it is absolutely awesome. I know it because my mom has a little garden and cook her own wine pickles and mushrooms (from forest))
You could make your own pasta😀
It is 8 herein California.
Prices have increased significantly in rural areas of Tennessee, broccoli, cauliflower, and grapes are $10 bread is $3.00+ dollars while eggs are $6-12 dollars depending on where you buy. Milk is $5 a gallon. Gas is $3-3.75 and diesel is over $4 I Pray that prices reduce very soon.
Thank you for making this vid. I am in Canada and it was really interesting to see how other low income people are managing. I made sure to share your vid. I was not the only interested person. It is so fascinating when politics get out of the way and there are just real people. Sending lots of love and good health from Canada.
Thank you for the video! When I used to live in the northern US, after every winter we would have the same buckling and bumpy and holey roads. Many people ended up with broken axels if they went unexpectedly over one of the bad roads!
Our gas prices have gone up significantly. In California people are paying $5 a gallon. In the SW, people are paying $4
a gallon. Our food prices have gone WAY up too, even at the cheap big store.
So sad innocent people suffering from all these crazy events
CALIFORNIA gas can be $7/gallon in some cities ARIZONA is over $5/gallon in some cities
@@MAEURASTAR in Canada were paying 2 dollars per litte which is over 8 dollars a gallon
Genuinely pray for peace and end the suffering for both countries.
Unfortunately I don't think your hopes will come true , Ukraine has been very restrained only hitting military targets but if they called for peace today . Could they stop the hatred in the hearts now . Take my home ,take my job , but take or make my family suffer and you will pay a higher cost. Ukraine is just Rubble now how can you stop that hatred or build peace ?. Once the second phase of the war starts what will be left ? , Not much left now except thousands off dead Russian , Ukrainian soldiers and Ukrainian civilians and children . Now that's going to be hate on a different level I'm surprised trains have not started to explode yet .
Good Job, Natasha! Thank you for showing us that your markets are even less expensive than Dollar Tree store-which by the way-now costs $1.25!
Hallo from Germany! Our supermarket prices are skyrocketing. No flour in the shelves. The first thing the bread prices double. The fuel prices restrict our tours and we stay more in town. The food that will become very restricted and expensive are vegetable oil, milk, butter, eggs, honey. We will become poorer and our former federal chancellor said, we can also freeze for freedom.
What has Germany done in our recent history. Our sanctions hit ourselves.
I love you and your mother and have been suffering with grandma. I really thought how you experience these times. Wish you all the luck in the world! I will be glad to see videos of you two adorable women inside and out and your lovely pets. 🥀🌹😞
This is so heartbreaking that kind good people like you suffer the most... ❤💔
USA now too.
Thankfully you can live without those 😊 oil is actually bad for you, and you don't need the rest. Try local vegetables :)
exactly the same situation with the prices in Slovakia. empthy shelves & bread, pasta, fish & meat for double the price
@@andreamolnarova2185 USA now too. Worldwide. Read bible. 7 year famine world wide.
Comparison of prices are relevant only when taking someone’s income into account.
Precisely. I paid $US1.42 per litre yesterday for 98 octane (our gov has temporarily removed the 22% excise) but that means nothing unless the average income is considered at minimum. Our average full time wage is $US1,230 per week and minimum hourly rate of pay is $US13.10. Without these references how difficult it is to make ends meet is impossible to tell. If you are a Commonwealth pension in my country you will notice every increase but on an index superannuation it does not mean a lot.
Income? What is with the savings?
I live in Hawai'i and the gas prices are $4.98 per gallon. It keeps raising by .10 cents every week or two.. Eggs over here is $8 for a pack of 12 and all other food items is above $3-4. If food is paid by weight, the cheapest is $2-3 per pound. Employment here is also bad and the minimum wage is low which makes it harder to buy essential items.
Update: Gas has already passed $5.48 over here 😩 Food prices is also increasing rapidly.
Winthin a week pound of grounded beef raised with 1,50 euro in western Europe.
Milk in a year 30% more expensive
Its because Putin 111
You have cheap gas and expensive eggs
Thank you SO much for sharing your videos !! I so much look forward to your next one !!,,from 3 Points Arizona, usa !
Thank You for taking us along shopping and explaining prices.
Yay Natasha, I love it when Natasha appears in videos! Wow, Ksusha your English-speaking skills are very impressive. Your pronunciation was very accurate. Overall, this was a very interesting video to watch. As for gas prices, here in the US a regular gallon of gas is usually above $4, and for the “beyond meat products”(in other words vegan products) are usually the more expensive alternative compared to its original version. Great video Natasha and Ksusha, I hope you are all doing well and I’ll make sure to keep you and your family in prayers:)😊❤️
Thank you so much Jorge! Hope you are doing great!❤

Gas prices here were $2.25 for 1 litre during your war.
Our government lifted the 44 cents tax, now gas is around $1.85 for 1 litre.
I used to live in Australia and love it so much
Lucky bastards. In EU on average is 2.50$ liter. In Germany is 3$
Your comment makes no sense if you do not specify whether you cite prices in Australian or US dollars or what you mean by "gas".
Hi, I'm glad this video turns out that supermarket prices in Russia are the same as in Indonesia. The average salary of an Indonesian is $500/month.. 👍

Shame grandma refused to move but least she has the dogs with her and their being fed as I often think about grandma and her dogs and its such a relief that the dogs aren't left behind though grandma would be doing it rough in the broken down house she's living in and she's not getting any younger

Hello To Everyone
I couldn't help but notice that Natasha pronounces Russian currency as "rubbles," which would make sense if it crashed.
I live in the US. Most of your grocery prices are at least half of what it is in my area. Gas was $3.61 last night. The chicken I buy my dogs went up almost $2 a lb and their dry dog food $2 more a bag. Impossible burgers and beyond meat are both around $6. I'm eating alot of beans and spaghetti 😁. I really appreciate the videos from other countries sharing what is happening with them. Hoping for ✌️🕊️💙
Wish we had the price 3,6 per gallone. We have 8$ per gallone in germany. 2€ a litre.

Hello Natasha, take my love and respect from India 🇮🇳 ....we Indians really love Russia and Russians as like our brothers and sisters... western hypocries are the reason for all of this...they are buying Uranium and crud oil from Russia but they oppose ban on you... western countries thought Russia will suffer but Russia and Russians are not suffering from anything.. because Russia has ability to do everything by their own...
I hope Russia,China and India should boycott western countries and their English..we don't need their double standard mentality and their Dollar any more....their hypocrisy has no limit just like their talking..
No the president off Russia did all this when he started war on Ukraine because he didn't like them joining nato and is a massive bully thinks he can rule the world hopefully one day someone takes him out
Funny like you forgot to mention all the poor Ukrainians your favourite Russians are killing …. and if west is horrible why there is so many Indians migrating here in hundreds of thousands every year ? Why do the richest Indians send their children here to Study ? Russia is a cancer of the world and always had Ask any Easter European how much they suffered from Russia over the centuries?? You have no idea ….
I live in Saint Louis, Missouri in the U.S., and I can tell you, potholes are universal. I was driving to work one day, took a different street one morning that I was unaccustomed to, came across what I thought was just a water puddle in the road, and crashed into a pothole so hard it ripped the front tire half way off the rim.
get it fixed. take the receipt to the municipal building where it happened. they will have to reimburse you

Thank you ! Your video is appreciated! Hello from USA! Our dog food is $48/44lb bag. Although we buy the better stuff for our pups . Some poor quality dog food can go for $26/40 lb bag. Often with that price, the bag is more nutritious than its contents! LOL🤣
450 grams of Beyond Meat (beef flavor) costs about $9.00 in our markets in San Francisco, California
I find it interesting that they sell 10 eggs instead of the usual dozen or 18 that we see here in 🇨🇦
In Europe, packing jackets of 10 is quite common. 😂
All Europa we have 10 egs is standard amount greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
Here in the US, we get them in 6, 12, 18, and 5 dozen in cartons.
В России стандартные упаковки в 10, 15, 20, и 30 яиц. Каждый выбирает сам , что ему нужнее.
In the UK I've seen 6, 10, 12, 30 😊
Thank you so much for posting videos. Natasha you are very pretty. I love you all. :)
Much better than in US with the price of goods and gas.
whew! Thats way cheaper then in the Netherlands! Prices depend per Supermarket ( A brand 'Top brand" are of course expensive) but the rest is almost the same in price. I once bought a small bottle from Lenor here vor 4 euros (!!) I wish bananas where that cheap here. In my region gas was actually 2,35euro per liter (and in some regions even 2,70! euros and now its around 2 euro (after the reduced tax) where I live. I used to thank gas for 1,30 in 2020 per liter, so its crazy.
Great price 👏😍

It is kinda relative though. Most things appeared to be slightly cheaper than here in the USA. The chicken was about 20% less than here. But you also have to consider average monthly salary. In the USA, it is like $3000 dollars, In russia it is about $600 per month.
Consider heath insurance you have to pay plus taxes they don't pay in Russia.
All stores that deal with perishable foods like fruits and vegetables should also have an onsite machine capable of dehydrating and then turning into a powder all the fruits and vegetables that were about to spoil & did not sell. Also they should have capability to package this natural fruit & vegetable powder in small easily manageable containers that people can buy and use to make their own fruit veggie smoothies. This way the food does not go to waist.
Ohh this is such a great idea!! So many precious veggies and fruits are being spoiled and thrown away bc people simply can't afford them. Selling veg powder or dry fruits could be a wonderful decision

Thus you have to see the prices with the eyes of an avarage russian worker and not only converted in USD or EUR.

If you buy similar substitute in US the cost for sure more expensive.
Most items in Russia are 25% of the cost of Australia.
I need to start appreciate my food more and eat more healthy, great video
I wish we had that quality of food for those prices here in Canada where I am. Everything here is very expensive. For example for that container of Oreo ice cream it would be around $8.80CAD or $4.00USD approximately. Absolutely nothing can be bought for under $1.00CAD, except for like 1 piece of fruit or a vegetable. Even things at the dollar store (discount/low income places are expensive for popular brands, it is only foreign items that are affordable but unfortunately they’re usually not of a very good quality. However, slowly the quality is getting a bit better, but unfortunately it’s also getting more expensive at these discount stores too. 🇨🇦 💸
As of December 2022, a single carton of 12 eggs costs $7 in the USA or 437 rubles.
Sugar comes in handy for preserving some fruits and making alcohol(s) like wine and even vodka. I'm not surprised, especially if there had been shortages of sugar in the past, that some people would hoard it.
Exactly!! Mom prepared barrels of wine every fall. So sad homemade wine will become twice or three time more expensive
Hey, I need that sugar for chocolate chip cookies ;-)

Shortage of lettuce in Ireland. Shortage of tomatoes in Britain.
I absolutely hate Buckwheat. My ex of 4 years was russian/ukrainian/uzbek and her mother loved buckwheat a lot. I remember pretending to enjoy it so she wouldn't be offended (yeah I know it was not nice from me). I just love things with various spices and that buckwheat plate with some cheap caviar on it made it look and taste like a survival kit meal.
I know what you mean. The first time I flew overnight to siberia to work in a university I arrived early in the morning and was asked if I wanted Porridge for breakfast, so I said yes and had an image of sweet porrodge like in Wales, but it was buckwheat (gretchka) with tomato sauce 🙈. Every mouthful was torture, and even though I live here permanently I avoid buckwheat like the plague, it's like horse food 🤣
I absolutely hate buckwheat except for two variations - with milk and sugar, like, morning version and buckwheat with gravy sauce, with meat like beef. Both are quite tasty. But in general I hate even the smell of it though I'm Russian. And I eat it once a year maybe
@@katiezharova2423 Yeah I'm sure with meat and spices it should be good. But sometimes people eat it plain, I'm sure it's full of carbs to survive but not a good texture and taste lol.

Based on their income/wages?
Regular gas in Nova Scotia, Canada is about 1.75 per litre. Diesel which the trucks use to bring most everything we here is about 1.95 per litre. So prices of EVERYTHING has gone up a lot especially food. People who heat their homes with oil furnaces have it the worst as the lowest price is 1.60 per litre. We had a cold snap in March my friend got half a tank oil for her house it cost her 750 bucks. People that never needed to use a food bank before are using them now.. Some afford to heat the house, buy gas and food when your income has stayed the same.

I have watched several Russian shopping videos and noted that sometimes the milk that is stocked on store shelves without refrigeration (this vid looks like in was in open cooler.) I would like to know how their milk is shelf stable at room temperature when I buy US milk it's always refrigerated but often it sours before its expiration date. I wonder if we're being fed old milk.
Here in the US I buy organic Horizon brand milk for my son's lunchbox they have both regular milk I'll send for cereal or chocolate milk they're kind of like milk in little juice boxes and they're found in the aisle with the juice boxes they're shelf stable.
Maybe the milk on “open shelves” is pasteurised or long life milk?
Actually this shelves are part refrigerate but they just open. When we byu milk it's always cold. Supermarket stuff keep puting more milk on that shelves from big fridge during the day. Because usually milk disappears quit fast from the sheaves
UHT (shelf stable) milk can be found in the U.S..It's often in the same size 'box' as chicken/beef broth. I've seen it as a give away at food pantries when I bring my extra vegetables from my garden.
