    Please how do I add the allowance to the material if am not using pattern paper?

    • @CeeFashionAcademy
      @CeeFashionAcademy  2 года назад +1

      If ur bust span is 7 i.e 3.5, then make sure to add extra half to it making it 4. Also add desired allowance on other sides...Note: the bust span 0.5 extra is very compulsory if you aren't using pattern paper...

    On the back line, doesn't we need to minuse 1.5 for the back because it's not straight. Just asking because I see they do that for dress. I am not a fashion designer. Just watching to learn and asking questions. Thanks

    • @CeeFashionAcademy
      @CeeFashionAcademy  3 года назад

      Where specifically at the back

    • @antoinetterichardson9301
      @antoinetterichardson9301 3 года назад

      @@CeeFashionAcademy in the center. The human back has à curve it's not straight. Like by the waist at the back has à hallow. Maybe I am not explaining myself properly because I am not a tailor. But when I watch videos of dress or jacket, they go in by sometimes 1.5 in the back. The shape is almost that of the d'art of à dress. But it's OK. Dont worry about it.

    • @CeeFashionAcademy
      @CeeFashionAcademy  3 года назад

      Please watch the Cutting Video to get a better understanding On the cutting Process..."The Back Effect" is applied at the center Back...it isn't straight as you said or saw...it can also be called "The Back Center Dart"... Thanks for watching...
