What didn't you like about the Loewe? Because that was my 2nd choice.
This is a beautiful bag, but is the straw harsh enough to damage gentle fabrics? I want to purchase one, but that's my concern...
I would say it is quite smooth for straw. I haven't had any issues, but I might hesitate with a fine silk blouse or dress.
But I’m glad to hear that it is not flimsy. I was afraid of that or it easily falling apart?
It's quite sturdy!! I think the leather straps give it extra support!

I have not seen the smaller one in person, but I would guess it would fit those items easily since it is just an open space, like the medium.
