Once I turned off the sound, good video!😁 Love that you used the canvas drop cloth. Cheap alternative to fabric store! I've dyed them for many uses, like slipcovers, tablecloths, etc. You can also stencil or handpaint them.
Where can we find the step-by-step for the first blinds where they draw up? And then the last ones that are automatic? Would be nice to actually know how these were all done to be able to actually do them ourselves.
So many good ideas. I've always wanted to try drop cloth curtains. Magnetic screen on sliding door would be great; however, magnets would have to be strong enough to keep outdoor cats out and big dog in!
They aren't that strong. They are only meant to keep the bugs from flying in. My Shih-Poo can push them open with her nose. Plus you have to match up the magnets perfectly. You could however buy stronger magnets to put in the casing or hot glue them on. But the material probably would give.
My advice is to stay away from using drop cloth as any other thing other than just to protect a floor from paint. It’s not very high quality and breaks down really easily when it’s used. If you are looking for linen curtains, Amazon has a great store called “half price curtains”. I bought 96 inch linen (or linen-like) panels for $30 a piece!
I've used drop cloths for many years for lots of things. Super cheap way to make changes, especially if you like frequent changes! Sew them, paint them, dye them.
Search Somfy. They are the motor you saw. They are remote control. Somfy calls them RTS (Radio Transmitter Somfy). Keep in mind, these are probably battery powered so changing the batteries would require access to the blinds. If tilt is all you want, make the tilt cords long enough to reach from the ground. If it is a wand tilt, that would be a long wand, probably not worth it.
I saw a couple of great ideas but I wish a link to instructions for all these ideas were included. Like the one that looks like a curtain with rings on top. What kind of fabric was used? Materials lists would be helpful. I guess the goal with this video is to figure things out yourself.
Could you Please Please do a tutorial on the 1st blind diy?? 🙏 Please Please 🙏 just a slower one, step by step. I'm redoing my grandkids room and these blinds would be great, just what I'm looking for.. thank you, luv all your ideas .. great job and great taste.
the ideas look good but you go too fast and flash pics of the products so fast that I can't read what the product is...Hope you slow down and explain more of how you create some of these items..
@@oliviag9271 They are plastic with sticky stuff on the back. Its kinda like the plastic you get with the black sheet of paper in the middle that you use for college reports or sheet music. And also they use them with those projectors in classrooms.
The second to last one with the curtains looks horrendous! Literally looks like someone took a bedsheet and only had half the amount of rings to hang it.
Making the blinds so that a remote can be used is genius wish I knew how to do that

Lol... Me too, I had to turn off the music. It made my head go crazy 🤪 🤣

I agree 100%
The blinds and fabric is such a smart thing.
Except you can't wash it without taking it apart. But clever idea.
These are really great, fresh ideas! Thanks for the inspiration! God bless!
Some clever ideal, Thank you for sharing have a blessed evening stay safe and healthy. 🙏❤👍❤
Some great ideas, but make sure you turn the sound off before you start watching because the music is incredibly annoying 🙉

Appreciate the feedback about drop cloth curtains and magnetic screens.
Very nice ideas..
Could you please at least list the materials you use for your wonderful ideas
Some of the ideas were ok but others not so much but it did give me an appreciation of why I go to the store and buy professionally made products.
Informative & creative, thank you!
What did you use for the 1st one. All the colors.
Interested in info on remote shades, have 4 windows unreachable with pulling out a ladder, climbing across counter to get behind kitchen sink!

Would rather hear some description of what your doing, and not that horrific music🤦♀️
Such a helpful video. Totally convinced me that it IS worth spending extra on professionally made window furnishings. Not a fan of any of these.

Your music choice grates on my nerves.
I can’t agree more!
I agree of course I turned it off , sorry it painful for people who has anxiety 😬
Will this help sound proof noise cotrol or just appearance only
Great ideas but way to fast to learn how to do them. I do really enjoy your videos.

Some great ideas! Absolutely the worst soundtrack in the history of RUclips.
Um where are the resources?
Really? Colored cellophane in windows?
I learned long ago, hard as you may try, most DIYs come out looking cheap.
It looks like something you would do for a little kid’s birthday party
Those colored squares r wrinkly & look cheap
Yes. They didn't do a good job of squishing out the bubbles. Lol.
I used a squeegee when I did my mirror ones back in the eightys.
@@katterkat58 🤣
I like them. But what is the material??

@@katterkat58 oh yeah, I remember those. Thank you. I wanted to cover my basement windows
I like how the first tips are simply sticking some plastic sheets on your windows and by the end you’re building new window frames 😂
1🥰👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Interesting ideas, annoying music

Good ideas but how do you actually make them you should of explained how and what materials are used otherwise the video is useless
Annoying music
why the horrid noise
