Cool, thank you for the litteral insight. I was wondering already for a while whether I wanted to modd this one as well and add a flash sync plug that I can use the EVF and a studio flash at the same time (did so successfully with the former type of EVF). Seems that there is enough empty space nect to the screen in the upper housing part :-)
First of all, great job on a succesful project! I’ve read lots of posts where people end up with dust in view finder. Do you believe one could clean it with a dust blower at the point you stopped with the electronics piece or one would need to firther disassemble it?
Thanks! I"m afraid the only way to get to optical elements is to disassemble it all the way through, and even then there's a chance that they are glued in place, just like the outside glass (you can see it if you remove the rubberized frame around the eyepiece). It is a very unfriendly to repair design...
I broke the protective glass in the back where you look through the viewfinder; I took the broken glass out. The unit works but the protective glass is missing of course. Does anyone know how to get the part? Where to get it? Or how to fix it by some other means?
@@baharam98 before I had experience replacing my viewfinder window glass on Fuji X-Pro1; my advice is to measure the glass piece as precise as possible and find a factory or shop that can cut one for you out of quartz glass
