  • In my RUclips video, "Breathe New Life Into Your Piano Playing With These Tips," I delve into the transformative power of embellishments in piano playing. I address a common issue where pianists, proficient with chords and inversions, find their music lacks excitement.
    To demonstrate the impact, I take a simple chord progression from the song "God Will Work It Out" by Maverick City and transform it into something more dynamic. My focus is on the underlying concepts of these embellishments, enabling pianists to apply them in any key or song.
    I provide specific tips like adding ninths to significant chords and sevenths to minor chords, emphasizing the importance of rhythmic and melodic thinking. I encourage regular practice of these techniques, likening it to building a language vocabulary.

    This is great! Can you do a video on how to play similarly, but what you would do if you were also playing with an acoustic guitar? The rhythm seems to clash and I don’t know how to tone back without it sounding weird

      Yeah playing with an acoustic guitar can be tricky and doesn’t require some finesse.

    Warren please do something on digital piano patches. I'd like your idea on how to get that top sound for various kinds of worship or church music

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  8 месяцев назад

      I usually just use a piano with strings and some worship pads. That’s really all to it. The top sound cones from investing it top VSTs.

    Why a chord progression that changes literally 15 TIMES?? smh. Discouraging to beginner honestly. Keep it simple please 🙏 A simple 1-6-4-5 progression could have gotten this point across better 15 Chord Changes Distracts From Embellishments.
