      Hey Warren its Howard. When you start a song in a Minor chord, would that Minor chord be your home key? For example, if I'm playing in C major, I usually come back home to C major as my root. Is it the same thing when you start in a Minor chord or any other derivatives?

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  Год назад +1

      @@mpec_tv4051 no necessarily. Songs don’t always start on the 1 chord, this is true for both major keys and minor keys. So you check where the cadences happen throughout the song; this will tell you the root chord.

    Thanks man, I will keep working on this. I've started playing when I was 7 years old. My dad just taught me one chords and I just looked for the others by ear. I didn't have anyone to teach me. It is really hard to correct your mistakes when you've been doing it for years. I just found your channel. You really have good content. 👍

    Hey Bro. Warren, this was and is a good video. I confess I've been a little frustrated, because I'm not making the progress I want to make and it's because I'm skipping some of the fundamentals. I need to be patient and give it time to fill up the holes of my experience.
    Blessings ❤ 👏 🙌 ❤ 👏 🙌 ❤ 😊

    Warren i don't know how to describe my situation 😅i can hear chord progressions, find keys, use complex passing chords because of playing in all 12 keys by just noodling and experiment 😅know a lot of theory. I'm not sure if my foundation is good

      If you have to guess about your foundation, it is most certainly the problem.

    Everything that your saying is important, but the classes are expensive, well for me anyway so persons who are in the same boat as me. Have to try and use RUclips and books to help. So getting the help is great but its the money that's the problem.

      Yes you have to work with what you have; but based on my experience, the majority who want to learn and not taking lessons is not due to monetary restrictions, but missed placed priorities. They simple don’t want it bad enough to pay for 🤷🏽‍♂️
