I think she just loves colors but also feels pressured to make more hair videos as she gets more views on them so she s bleaching and colored more than she s willing to because it s her job basicly .
I accidentally did the same thing a year ago, just got tired of bleaching and suddenly stopped. I will grow it out fully though which should take another year I guess, same length as you at the moment. Same feeling when it comes to thickness and drying time, it’s just so nice even though platinum blonde is still the perfect hair colour to me. Will probably switch to wigs for that in the future.
I'm on the same grow out journey with you. my ends are electric lizard green with my dark brown, grayish roots. I actually like the grown out look. I'm definitely going to do my roots again, I think. lol But it gives your hair a chance to grow and heal. 😊🎨🎶 love your channel.
i'm also in the process of growing out my hair! i'm about 9 months in. watching you go through the process a bit ahead of me has been so helpful. like damn if she looks that good with grown out roots then so do i 🖤
I personally love how colored hair looks with a root grow out. That's usually what I do with mine. You rock this look 💜 but I'm also SOOOO stoked to see your bleaching video!! Cause you fuckin rock that shit too 💖🔥
I’m in the middle of growing my hair out too, but my hair grows so quick that only 5 MONTHS of regrowth has it looking close to yours. I have to say, it's so much fun thinking of ways to keep bright colours while growing out the roots and your journey has given me so many ideas! I’m thinking of getting rainbow ombre or split-dye ombre.
Maybe you could do a half and half split dye where you only bleach the healthier/thicker side of your hair, and on the other side that has more breakage you could do a semi permanent brown on the ends, so that way you could continue to grow out your natural hair on that side
I also just waited a whole year to let my hair grow out purely cos of how damaged it was but I bleached it last week loving having brightness around my face again I went with neon pink roots purple mids and blue ends loving it
I started growing out my hair around the same time because I have so much damage, I but it was definitely motivating knowing I wasn't alone in it. I have long hair still so there's a lot that I can color but my natural hair is so soft that I'm gonna keep growing it out for maybe another year which is gonna be sooo hard
Omg same here! I went blonde/platinum for a while and my hair is suffering the consequences. My nearly waist long hair is now at my shoulders. I have a year of new growth (6 in ) and in love not with the color but the softness, shine and manageability. I think i will try to embrace my natural black hair color and do only money pieces for now
Took me 4 years but I grew out a bad bleach job (From a professional). It was breaking off at my collarbones all the same things you talked about happened to me. In the middle of 2020 I chopped off the last of the bleach and gave myself a yellow money piece and I have kept this till now, currently my hair is past my belly button and I’ve been able to keep my money piece healthy and have only cut my hair once since then 😅 I never thought I would be able to have this long of hair so no I’m trying to see just how long it can get!
Hey aislinn, I've been watching you for over a year now and you have inspired me to grow out my natural hair as well. You are an amazing RUclips, and I love your videos. Keep on doing what you do. Much love 💗💗💗
Awesome. That regrowth is insane. I wish I had the balls to grow my hair out. My natural colour is a dark ash blonde with a lot of white . I've not had my natural hair colour since I was 13 when I had dark blonde hair. It was platinum when I was 3 . I love dying my hair bright colours. I'm 43 in December and I'm not giving up my colourful hair just yet. But when I do. Maybe when I'm 50 🤷🏻♀️. As my hair is darker at the back than at the front the same as my late father's was. I will have to get the back bit bleached to platinum professionally, and then I'm thinking of having silver and lilac hair. And my hair is naturally curly also. Love your video's btw. I binge them a lot. Can't wait to see what you do with your hair next. Xx
Your natural color IS beautiful!!!! Are you not curious to see what it would look like???? Like all the way? Your natural color looks like mine. I call it gold, copper and silver... so heavy metals 🙂 I'm older than you, so I have silvers coming in. I love your coloring videos, but I'd love to see your natural color all grown out!
@@nickyclark5667 yas!!!! I'm doing a plausibly natural copper auburn color right now, partly for grey coverage, but I amp it up with fire engine red streaks, or black tips as the mood strikes me. I remember 30 years ago that blue hair was scandalous, but these days, no one cares. I love that for us. All the hugs to you.
If you search "growing out my natural hair colour" or "i stopped bleaching/colouring my hair" then heaps of videos come up and no head shaving :) apparently its now becoming a trend to go natural. I'm doing the same now with my dreadlocks, been 5 months so far no bleach! I use peppermint, lavender and rosemary oil on my scalp to stimulate growth.
It’s also been a year for me since I dyed my roots. I have basically the same amount of growth as you. I’ve been dying it red and it blends pretty well with the brown. The last time I bleached my hair was when I went full rainbow a year ago. It faded beautifully
I cut my hair to my chin right before 9th grade and spent ALL of high school with hair that wouldn't grow past my shoulders because all the heat and color damage was making it break off 🙃 back before youtube so I had no idea why my hair was taking 4 years to grow 3 inches when it felt super healthy lol now I have accepted the breakage with my bleached hair cause I want COLORS
First of all.. let us 1st appreciate how stunning she looks all the time!! Secondly.. OMG!! I was doing the same (Growing my hair for one year with no bleach), I swear it is the hardest thing to do as a crazy color lady lover😩😂!! It is my therapy ❤️ but I had to stop for a year at least to keep some hair on my head🤣!! Your videos are the best!! You do encourage me to be ME!! Thank you so much pretty lady ❤️.. god bless you 🥰🥰❤️❤️. I’ll always be a number one fan❤️
I literally did the same grow out process as you for a year with your process ! I just NOW finally did all the roots. Going to go for another 6 months now to seee if I can do it!!!!
I‘m on the same journey, my grow out it is almost down to my ears. I‘m so exited for my all over natural hair, last time I‘ve had it natural mousebrownish was like 20 years ago 😅
It'll be one year of growth with one bleach in the middle for me next month. And then I'm going rainbow for firefly 🌈💕 we're gonna try the pinwheel method I saw on your channel 😉
I’m so proud of u for sticking with the grow out process!! Ur hair looks fantastic and I love ur natural color as well. The longest I got to when growing out my color was I think like 6 months so bravo for sticking it out!!
I shaved my hair in February 2019 after a bad box of hair dye. Within the year I had almost 10 inches of growth. I kept being told my hair grows fast. I did not think so but I guess it did. Edit: AMAZING JOB, BY THE WAY!!! Your regrowth looks sooo beautiful. 😍♥️🥰
I had so much color build up that I waited almost a year before bleaching my hair again since it was too dark. Did a bleach wash since I had blue and wanted a more even lift (added more shampoo to the bleach, which worked).
Wow! Why can't my hair look like yours! I've been growing my hair out for a year and I still look like Alfalfa!🤣 Sis, you're beautiful plus your hair is slayed!😍 Keep up the good work! Not only does it still look good even with the breakage it's shiny and it looks great! Plus, your makeup is on fire!🔥
I love my purple and red hair but I noticed my hair has become super thin since I started bleaching my hair. you have inspired me to grow out my hair and just do chunks of color instead of an all over color. I'm so proud of you and I love your natural color!
im growing my hair out to go platinum and i just wanted to tell you i literally showed my stylist your hair as my end goal. i want platinum with the balayage
i started growing out my natural in Jan. I am 8 months in (obviously) but you kept me inspired throughout every time i heard you talk about it in your videos. I loveee not have breakage at my roots. I use way less hairspray now. i loved this video!! thank you for showing us growing out bleached hair!!!
Same!! I am on this hair growing out journey with you. I had decided to rest my hair after really taking a beating from my bleaching last Dec 2021. And bleaching just the ends and doing money pieces really helped esp when it comes to staving off that urge to just bleach everything. (The contrast between my real color and bleached hair is just too great that it bothers me.)
Im also growing out my natural hair, but i had my hairdresser dye my remaining bleached bits to match my natural hair. For me the drying time has increased a lot, my natural hair is quite poreus apparently! It is thicker, and so soft. Im so happy and have had no regrets. Now my goal is growing it as long as possible, so i use olaplex and k18 on my bleached/dyed hair, deep condition it and keep it in braids so it wont break as easily
my plan is to grow out my hair and cut off all my dyed/ bleached hair. my roots are already by the bottom of my ears. its been around 4-5 months. all next year I'm not bleaching it or dying it just growing it out and saving up to go to an amazing hair salon. I'm quitting dying my own hair. im over it!
I’m in the process of growing out my hair. It also was not intentional for me. I just was only bleaching the top and leaving the underneath my natural brown and couldn’t help but notice my hair is a type 2B but it loses all texture from bleaching and dying it so I am now at a year since bleaching my hair last and I’m at 9 months since using any dyes at all. My hair type is so pretty and I never knew or was able to appreciate it since I was literally a child! It’s crazy
I fully grew mine out and although i miss the change up, I do prefer that its less hassle/upkeep and I'm embracing no grays at 36. Prob dye it again when they come through haha
Im going to be putting a color over my platinum side of my hair tomorrow! I've got postpartum hair shedding and bleaching my roots is just not the vibe... But neither is such a stark root situation (for me). And after watching your video on Strawberry Leopard I feel pretty confident about my color choice (lavender fog), so thank you!!!
I'm going to bleach my roots one last time next week and I intend to go at least 3 years without bleaching it. Just like you, I really like my natural color, I wanna enjoy it a little bit.
What I am totally confused by on my own hair is I went almost totally silver by the tie I was 40 maybe 45 I still had some light red /auburn ends. the over all look of my hair was a light silver. All natural. I only used some semi perment dye a few times for fun. oved my long purple ringlets. LOL About 3 years ago at age 70 the dark color started coming into my hair. All new hair growth was short and pretty curly hair. Honestly at first it looked like I had pubes growing ot of my head. Three years later there are streaks now of the darker hair and yes it has smoothed out not so curly. The overall color is a dirty redish grey. My doctor has seen this from the beginning . He said it happens once in a while. Not at all often. Ideas since you are the hair color queen? I liked my red hair of my youth. Not shure I like this mish mash of color. When my hair is wet from washing it all looks red.
I stopped bleaching in december 2021 and decided I was going to go natural as in dye my hair as close to my natural color (2N) and let my roots grow out. I was about past shoulder length at the time. As of august 2022 my roots had grown out about 3.5 inches, but I became really bored lately and decided I wanted to bleach again~ but my hair wasn’t fully grown out yet… So I cut off all my dyed hair, got a pixie, and went pink :D
After 2 decades of colour and highlights on my natural curls (which tends to be dryer than normal anyway), I made the concious decision to leave it all the hell alone. That was 4 years ago, which kinda turned into embacing my grey journey too. For the first time in nearly 30 years, I have virgin hair again.
I just realized the last time I bleached my hair was March 29th 2022. I'm pregnant and due in March. My birthday is also in March. Looks like I'm unintentionally taking a 1 year grow out challenge. Lol.
I grew mine out for a year without dying once and watching you do it makes me want to do it again. But I think I'm going to do one more dye first because I had a plan for october that I'm not willing to give up on 😂
In September please dye your hair with Halloween colors again!! Different pattern different shades from you did the last time 🤩🤩 I love it when your imagination and talent come together!!!
I went on this journey at the same time! I had waist length split black/white hair, and grew everything but a money piece out! About two weeks ago I chopped it all off, and did an even bleach! It’s so healthy! Now I have Marilyn Monroe style hair that actually isn’t fried!😂
I went through something similar where I bleached to the point of it thinning out and it was falling out...so I stopped and then I took care of it, using olaplex and deep conditioning masks as well, even a all natural hair oil mask, that is produced at a salon near me, it helped with hair growth. Then fast forward a year later ( this past July ) my sister's wedding, I bleached everything but the roots, chopped it, and went temporarily pink ( my stylist using celebrity viral, color deposit shampoo) and I just recently bleached my roots, so we will see what happens, next...
@@almostgarbage189 there is yellow banding because while I had been bleaching my hair, i never touched the roots until this past July, i have naturally dark hair so it was like a shadow root, now that i have that banding, I'm working on it, with my hair stylist on how to get rid of it, its a slow process, but it's working. I also used, Olaplex toning shampoo, which does get rid of a lot of the yellow in my hair.
I stopped bleaching mine at the same time you did we've got the same root growth! I've just got more gray hairs LOL I think I'm actually just going to stick with it and grow out my whole head so I can chop all the bleach off and then go through and rebleach it all!
So when you started this process I was pregnant about to have my son and I have been keeping up now he is about to be one it so crazy to see how much your hair has grown
Your natural color is beautiful. It's actually the color I use on my roots. Too bad you're going to start bleaching it again . It looks beautiful, although I'm not crazy about the 2 front stripes lol.
go you girl!! I’ve been waiting for this video! I always wondered why you did money pieces and I’m so glad you elaborated on why, I’m really thinking about doing this, my hair keeps breaking off and getting shorter and I really wanna grow it out. I desperately want long hair.
So I haven’t bleached my re growth since June, my hair always grows slow and I don’t take biotin because I break out extra bad. But I did a big chop a few months ago but I’ve always kept a small money piece in front too. My goal is to keep putting colors in my blonde but I’m going to grow my entire natural out to another bob and do a big chop of the blonde
I’m on this journey with you! I last bleached my hair Oct 2021 and am debating whether to bleach my regrowth or keep growing it out. I do love your natural shade of brown too 😄🥰
I've been growing out my hair for almost 10 years 😅 my hair now touch top of my butt (it actually almost stopped growing few years ago and I only cut the ends once every few years 🙃) there is no artificial color in my hair and I have same colour as your natural. I have thin hair, so can't really appreciate any thickness but I love my hair. Don't think I will do something to it for many years .. maybe never 😀
I'm actually growing out my hair.💕It will be one year in May,and I already have alot of new hair growth.I also have been using rosewater on my hair, and that works great. 🌹I also started using biotin💊sometime ago,and it really works wonders. 🥰Great video, and thank you for inspiring me to do this as well.💖💞
I did the same some years ago. Until I had waist long natural hair. Than I got a buzz cut because I was annoyed and too lazy to care for so much hair. 😂 Now I am in the process of bleaching my black colored Bob away, for a year and I was surprised how white my hair finally got. 😍
"I love my natural color so much" simultaneously with "I can't wait to bleach everything" is a mood😊
I think she just loves colors but also feels pressured to make more hair videos as she gets more views on them so she s bleaching and colored more than she s willing to because it s her job basicly .
I accidentally did the same thing a year ago, just got tired of bleaching and suddenly stopped. Lol...I always just considered the breakage as choppy layers. Definitely Rock it!

I have to say, it's so much fun thinking of ways to keep bright colours while growing out the roots and your journey has given me so many ideas! I’m thinking of getting rainbow ombre or split-dye ombre.
This gave me the same happiness as watching someone’s baby bump growth 😂
Every month I’m like “yes! So healthy. Keep going 🥰”
Only bleach the top half let the bottom grow out completely 💛
Maybe you could do a half and half split dye where you only bleach the healthier/thicker side of your hair, and on the other side that has more breakage you could do a semi permanent brown on the ends, so that way you could continue to grow out your natural hair on that side
Fun challange, video idea. Try dying a wig colormatching your natural hair and cutting it in your cut style. Just a fun thought! :D
I can't wait to see your bleaching one year's growth video!
I also just waited a whole year to let my hair grow out purely cos of how damaged it was but I bleached it last week loving having brightness around my face again I went with neon pink roots purple mids and blue ends loving it
You should cut all the bleached part from the bottom and leave it natural, kinda like an inverse peek a boo hair. It would look GORGEOUS on you!
I started growing out my hair around the same time because I have so much damage, I but it was definitely motivating knowing I wasn't alone in it. I have long hair still so there's a lot that I can color but my natural hair is so soft that I'm gonna keep growing it out for maybe another year which is gonna be sooo hard

I grew mine out for a year without dying once and watching you do it makes me want to do it again. But I think I'm going to do one more dye first because I had a plan for october that I'm not willing to give up on 😂
just finished it and im so excited to see your bleaching video 🧚♂️ your natural color is so beautiful!!!
You should keep growing it out
I think the growth from the 8th month will have to do with the warmer weather. Hair grows a lot faster in the summer!
I love your natural hair color so much!
Stay strong and meet your goals ❣️ that had to have seemed forever to wait !
How did your roots turn out?
Was it pretty even or alot of warmth and banding?
I'm a year, no bleach in!
You are a ledge. You are my go-to watch videos. X
So when you started this process I was pregnant about to have my son and I have been keeping up now he is about to be one it so crazy to see how much your hair has grown
i loved ur eyes in this video/ loved the vid can’t believe u made it a year i had all the faith u could make it and u did so proud of u💯❤️🥰💕
I've been wanting to grow my hair out too
Your natural color is beautiful.
I was just watching the video of your husband and your brother dying your hair lol. I agree your natural color is gorgeous and so freakin shiny ❤️
You should go two years omg could you imagine virgin hair !!! Eeeeee that would be awesome!!!
I’m on this journey with you! I last bleached my hair Oct 2021 and am debating whether to bleach my regrowth or keep growing it out. I do love your natural shade of brown too 😄🥰
I’m so happy for you! Your hair looks amazing! 💓
Don't think I will do something to it for many years .. maybe never 😀
My hair grows about an inch and a half a month
I'm actually growing out my hair.💕It will be one year in May,and I already have alot of new hair growth.I also have been using rosewater on my hair, and that works great. 🌹I also started using biotin💊sometime ago,and it really works wonders. 🥰Great video, and thank you for inspiring me to do this as well.💖💞
I'm trying to grow out my hair and embrace my natural wavy texture, but I don't want to stop dyeing it 😭
I feel like u should just get like highlights threw what u have it would look really cool when you colour it
i've just realised our hair is exactly the same colour!!!
3rd!! so happy about your hair health journey!
You should rock a pixie cut
I did the same some years ago. Until I had waist long natural hair. Than I got a buzz cut because I was annoyed and too lazy to care for so much hair. 😂
Now I am in the process of bleaching my black colored Bob away, for a year and I was surprised how white my hair finally got. 😍
So proud of you!!
So happy for you girl!💖💋
Congrats, girl! Have enjoyed watching this journey and seeing your literal growth (haha, I made a joke). 💙
Loving the t-shirt 👌
I can't believe it's already been a year!
Wow I can't believe it's been a year already it definitely doesn't feel like it's been that long since I started watching you 🙃
Your scalp I’m sure is happy. At any point in time we can become allergic to dye and bleach. It happened to me and is common.
Forgot . Totally LOVE your T Shirt!!
