I had no idea you were in Amsterdam. I feel dumb for not noticing your accent. I’ve watched some of your videos while working in Amsterdam as I took up skateboarding again after 31 years of not doing it. I have a Mellow. Careful of the police bruh!
@@llawliet1528 pretty sure they are illegal in the Netherlands, so yeah you definitely don't want the police catching you out and about with one of those😅
Nice review! I was wondering if you still have the board and how is the performance after 5 months, would be great if you could do another review after lots of usage. Cheers!
really good video Bruno. I really like them so keep it up👍🏻. But i have to disagree on the comparison between the Armo longboard and the Boosted stealth. I ride a Loaded Icarus pro setup everyday for almost a year now, the Loaded icarus costs about 400€ (and is not electronic). Before that i had a globe prowler which was 180€ and i can feel somme massive differences between the two. Armo doesn’t focus on weels, trucks, deck, bushings and bearings. They have to cut a lot of corners there. I am sure that the technology and Motors are totally fine in the longboard. Boosted does both really good, that’s why It’s the most popular electronic longboard out there. (Sorry if my words or sentences are not perfect, English is not my first language and it doesn’t help that i am dyslexic😂)
just another generic esk8. Parts are exactly the same down to the deck, you are probably better off buying a Backfire G2 or one of the more well known brands such as Ownboard. Also please wear a helmet when going 30+, I ride electric boards on the daily and I am very invested in the community and I can't stress enough that those speeds in traffic are still dangerous
It’s a half mile walk for me to get to work not bad but when your tired after 8 hrs of getting yelled at it’s nice to not half to walk for 15min just to get home
don't, Acton has a very bad reputation with customers. You should look at a Backfire or the type of board he shows in the video (like Ownboard, WowGo, Verreal, ...)
I think mopeds can go 30 km/h max on a bike path, so you might risk a ticket if you go faster. But who cares, Amsterdam bike cops won't be able to keep up with you :)
They usually don't stop you if you ride sensibly, I've been riding in Rotterdam every day for the past year at least and have never had any issues. We did have issues in Amsterdam during an event from Enertion, but this was most likely due to the size of the group (30+ riders)
I´m actually waiting for these to become legal in germany, though the future doesn´t look too bright there since my coutry wants to regulate them and limit their speed to "ridiculously slow". Right now its kind of a gray spot in our law. It behaves like: if the good cop gets you, you´re cool. If the bad one gets you, you will probably end up in poverty.^^ So atm it depends on how brave you are. Have you been able to figure out how it´s like in the netherlands?
And did the cops confiscate it already or fine you since it is declared illegal on public roads by our great Dutch government? beyonddemocracy.net (20 languages)
It is illegal in Holland, yes. It’s a bit of a grey area to be honest. Some cops are cool so long as you aren’t riding it like a crazy man. Then you could meet a cop who’s just having a bad day or feels like exerting their power. I ride my Mellow in Amsterdam and Purmerend where I live. If I see cops I just slow down and put it in endless mode and push it like a normal board. Hub motors are really quiet and not as noticeable, belt motors on Boosted etc.., are noisy and people will notice you more. Up to you if u wanna risk it!
It is illegal but depending on where you ride you will have more/less issues. I feel like they are more strict in Amsterdam as we were stopped by the Police at our last esk8 event there. Mind you we were with 30+ riders.
It is not a grey area, it is flat out illegal. Of course, kind cops can condone/overlook things, but that doesn't make electric skateboards less illegal. My tip would also be to get one with a hub motor that you can easily push like a normal board, so you can at least fool the cops by riding it like a non-powered skateboard. Another environmentally friendly transportation method made illegal by the government. The umpteenth proof of government being the problem, not the solution. georgeoughttohelp.com
2:20 This is actually the most efficient and the intended way of moving on a skateboard.
im not even gonna go to 2:20 i just know this "most efficient way" people laugh at kids when they do it but the kids have 2000iq
Such a shame these things are illegal instead of big noisy polluting mopeds
Init 😂
Found your channel a week ago, and I just want to say keep up the great content bruh.
40km/h for under 500 bucks! What a steal!
Ok, now THIS is epic

You can push boards like these but it's pretty uncomfortable due to the weight

Can you do an Uber Eats with this?(pls)
So Armo was right?

ik dacht dat elektrice skateboards illegaal in NL waren?
(enige reden waarom ik niet zon ding zou kopen is omdat het illegaal is)
Jep is illegaal. Ze kunnen je flink naaien als je gepakt wordt

What is with people asking about electric skateboards? Whenever I learn tricks in a parking lot some guy comes up to ask if my board is electric...
it's a 'thing', like saying 'do a kickflip' or claiming u used to skate with Tony Hawk
Uber eat on a electric skateboard...

This is very lazy and very unhealthy
No helmet? And reckless riding?! Thumbs down.
