- This is ROUGH footage for the local news . This is Curlys daughter at a 3 stooges festival in 2017! Moe and Shemp got their start in comedy in Jeannette Pa.at Oakford Park in 1919 thru 1921 ! Just outside Pittsburgh Pa. This was a large Amusement Park that was later destroyed by a flood! SEE! History of Oakford Park Swimming Pool on You Tube ! In 2016 I met and interviewd Moes son ! Now its Curlys daughter! What an Honor !
One of Curly's funniest moments: Moe said, "they're going to hang us at dawn". Curly replied, "they can't do that, we don't get up that early".
😄
nyuck nyuck nyuck
Her father was a comedy genius.
Absolutely all of The 3 Stooges Guys were Natural Born Comedic Geniuses. I'm now 65 years of Age
Curly Howard is personally responsible for more laughs than any actor (living or dead) in the world. And we’re still laughing.
Amen!!
Why Soaintly!
Damn right always will
Long Live King Curly. He’s been making me laugh for 40 years. I can’t say that about anybody else. Not even close. This is timeless comedy and curly was a master.
That's not something you can measure.
I wish Curly had been given more years with us. At least he left behind a wonderful daughter.
The 3 Stooges had influenced quite a few people.
Lucille Ball whom started in the movie industry in 1933 had 13 uncredited roles. Then she got her first credit role in 3 Stooges' Three Little Pigskin in 1934. However, Lucille would have aprox. 8 more uncredited roles up till about 1935. She had of course did many skits that the 3 Stooges did (pie throwing as one example)
Then there was John Ritter who did many Stooges/ Lucille Ball skits on Three's Company.
Think about that, Three's Company - Three Stooges.. Like in I Love Lucy, Lucy was a tenant that lived upstairs with the landlord living right below them..... just like Three's Company.
The Three Stooges was a big influence with many people and comedians.
He had 2 daughters actually. This is his younger daughter (with his last wife). His older daughter (with his 2nd wife) had 2 sons, one of which goes by Curly's Grandson on RUclips. Check out his channel. He can do an amazing impression of his grandfather.
Thank you to Curly Howard. I am 72 and still regularly watch the Stooges. They bring up my inner child to have a good guttural ridiculous laugh.
The 3 stooges are a national treasure...
Yes indeed!
International.
Don't forget to pick up the T-shirt with all 4 Stooge images depicted on Mt. Rushmore.
In 1968 in Vietnam us soldiers would get a 2 day stand down every once in a while in the rear area. At night they had this movie projector and screen where the 3 Stooge shorts would be shown. It made us laugh and boosted our morale. Your dad played a big part of lifting our spirits and releasing our struggles in Vietnam by watching them. God Bless Curly the other stooges and RIP. ...and thank you for sharing your stories of your dad Curly👍🇺🇸
Did you ever serve with Sgt James Buckley in 68
Thank you for your services sir
Thanks for service. Looks like we might have to fight those Pinkos again. As such, I come to Curly to laugh too. He is my medicine
@@mumbles215 Idk man, looks like the pinkos are winning, much like they did in Vietnam
You shouldn't have been there to begin with
At 69, I still watch the Stooges and they still make me laugh.
I hope she knows how much the world loved her Father
Curly was always my favorite stooge! My childhood would not have been the same without the 3 Stooges! So many generations grew up with these guys
The Three Stooges were the best comedy entertainment in my lifetime. I distinctly remember watching an episode at my grandparents’ house and realizing that my grandfather laughed along while reading his newspaper. Their comedy is inter-generational.
My favorite Curly quote: "Quiet! I'm trying to think but nothing happens."
Mine, too 🤣
Although I don't use the "Quiet" part, I frequently use the rest of the quote myself, but I like to pronounce it "nuttin" LOL
I tell people that all the time and I get funny looks.
No matter what age you are, when you watch the stooges you become a kid again.
@Bob Sebring What worries me is that they may start editing them due to political correctness.
@Bob Sebring What do women know?
If that happens then I give up on society lol. The stooges are revolutionary and are a big part of my child hood. I remember watching them with my grandparents. Growing up in an italian family, grandparents loved them too. The fact that they even reached them and people around the globe says how revolutionary they were for their time and continue to impact today. They were one of the first to mock Hitler as well. I hope to god our current society does not edit for political correctness. That would be a massive disrespect to the stooges and what they represented in their acts.
@Mike England Enjoy them while you can.
@@davidvalensi8616 I bought the DVD collection for $30, partially to preserve the original work without fear of editing. If anything, it allows me to have meaningful discussions about racism and its history in American media with my 11 year old son, who has been enjoying the stooges for about a year now.
It is nice to hear from Curly Howard's daughter about The Three Stooges.
This is great. Loved listening to her talk about her dad and the photos. Very special.
God Bless you Janie, you have a warm heart as did your father.
Childhood would have been dull without the 3 Stooges
Love the three stoogies makes us aĺl laugh i grew up watching these
Unfortunately we'll never know what might have happened had Curly stayed with the Stooges longer; I only know for sure is never would have gotten sick & died had he stayed away from the booze. For another, there would have been no fa ke Shemp, & no Joe Besser or DeRita.
@Ricky Mellottsr Yes, you are right-Curly left the act in 1946 due to the stroke he suffered. I just commented that Curly never would have gotten sick & suffered the stroke had he not drank the way he did.
@Ricky Mellottsr While the head bops Curly took didn't help any, the (heavy) drinking he did was the REAL reason he suffered the stroke that ended his career. Watch the shorts If A Body Meets A Body through Half Wits Holiday & you'll see for yourself the consequences his drinking had on him-the first & noticeable clue is his voice which changed between the filming of Rockin' In The Rockies & If A Body Meets A Body. Then watch the preceding shorts Woman Haters through Idiots Deluxe.
@@kevinmiller1985 Ignorant and drunk is the best thing we can say about you boy
A reminder of who Curly Howard's 30s & 40s contemporaries were: Stan Laurel, Groucho Marx, WC Fields, Bob Hope, Lou Costello, Danny Kaye, Red Skelton... over the decades Curly has garnished MORE laughs than all those other comics combined!!
She can be very proud of her father he was manys favorite,....
I used to drop on the floor and run in circles like Curly and do the Curly shuffle in school, got in trouble, lol.
Couldnt wait to get home and watch them at 4pm. Voice imitations and reciting his lines was always fun too. Thanks to your father for changing the world, in a happier way.
Curly...the funniest Stooge...and ironically, the most tragic ....each time I watch Half Wits Holiday, his last whole act, what else can I say but ....thank you for bringing great entertainment in our lifetime, your talent is forever preserved in every short you played in.
I love ALL the early stooges. Big respect for them
I was at this fest and it was a lot of fun! Getting to meet members of the "Stooge" family was priceless! Hope they have this sometime again. Stooges forever!
They were a fantastic bunch , Curly, Larry ,Moe and sometimes Shemp. Only lately I learned that Shemp was Curly's brother. They really used to make me laugh. Even today we enjoy their movies. They will never be forgotten. Thanks for sharing.
I remember coming home after school in the 80s and 90s and watching these guys it was a nice relaxing time after a stressful day to watch the three stooges help you laugh and relax. I love them all but yes Curley was definitely my favorite
"And this is my mother" the look on Moe's face, and that slap! They were very funny.
His daughter was so wonderful to meet ! She was so sweet and funny !!! Just like her father ! I met and interviewed Moes son 2 years previous here in Jeannette ! He was so proud of the fact that they got their start here in Jeannette Pennsylvania !
But they were from Brooklyn , New York . And went to my high school . New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn which was represented by The Sweathogs as Buchanan High School in Welcome back Kotter .
@@delvikingjr5739 doesn't he have two daughters?
@@Angry.General1461 Curly had 2 daughters yes. The one in this video is his younger daughter (with his last wife). His older daughter (with his second wife) had 2 sons...one of them goes by Curly's Grandson on RUclips. Check out his channel.
@@StormsparkPegasus I know who Curly's grandson is.
I am such a fan of The Three Stooges. I have a few DVD & some movies. Curly had me in stitches. My all favorite is no doubt on the railroad train where all four Stooges appeared! What a nice tribute to to Curly & his life on & off screen.👋👋👋👋👋👋
Jerome Horwitz, one of the funniest man that ever lived!!
No he was and still is the funniest man living or dead period

Great stuff! The '3 Stooges' are timeless and their comedic brilliance will continue to be appreciated long after all of us are gone!

God bless you ma'am. Your wonderful father lives on in the smiles and laughter and joy he gave and continues to give millions, myself included.
Curly is my medicine. What ever ails me, Curly is the cure. Love that man for what he did for us. The children really, but were all children at heart. RIP Legend.
This was an awesome video. I'm related to Larry on my mother's side of the family. My parents stayed in his home in Los Angeles during/after WW2 when my father was on leave from the Navy. USS CURTIS AV4. Thanks for posting this video. 🕊️🙏❤️From Philadelphia 🍺🥨🥨🥨
Thank you so much moe Larry curly shrimp and joe. For all the laughs you given to us all. Thank you. Rest in peace together
Actually it was six of them. Moe, Larry, Curly, Shemp, Joe Bessner and Curly Joe DeRita

Joe
There are three types of people in the world:
Moes - the leaders
Larrys - the want a be Moes
Curleys - those that don't give a darn and live life to the fullest their own way!
I always wanted to be a Curley. At 64 I am getting close!
That's good! Thanks imma remember that!
I'm trying to be a Curly, but I'm a victim of Soicumstance!!🤣
Curly led the way. His talents were all so good. Never another guy like Curly.
Thank you Janie so enjoyed your stories and home videos of your Father!!!!😊
Thank you Janie. We loved your father.
This was educational,Thank you,I LOVE the original stooges,They had gorgeous kids,Beautiful girls,Moe daughter included
Your father was the funniest most purest amazing ever
If Hollywood are serious about re-creating such genius they should set the time period to the 1930's. It maybe a little more realistic and genuine. There will never be another Moe, Larry and Curly. Enjoyed the commentary and insight into Curly and the stooges, good work Jane, well done and thank you from a stooges fan from Australia that brought up his children to watch them also.
I'm 29 my dad showed me the 3 stooges as a kid, I remember sharing a good laugh with him while watching the stooges! On TV Curly was his favorite one. They're called and known as Los 3 Chiflados in Spanish. Miss you dad!
Three stooges are my favorite entertainers of all time in any field of entertainment I never knew I could love someone (mo Larry curly and shemp )so much that I’ve never met bless you Janie
I love "The Three Stooges", Curly was my most favorite. Thank you for sharing💜
My middle daughter, now 30, loved curly so much. On Saturday night there were 3 hours of the three stooges, when a new show would start and it was a shemp, she would complain "oh no, it's a shrimp ". She always said curly was funny because he had naked hair
I was the same as a kid, now I love Shemp. Even his face kills me.
Yes, in the early 60's, I was only 6,7,8 years old and when a Shemp came on I wondered, 'Where is Curly, and who is the guy that looks like Moe ?' As the years went on SHEMP became my favorite and most older Stooges fans LOVE Shemp ! Curly was the ultimate 'man-child' and certainly more popular with kids. Now at age 64, as a viewer, I can relate more to Shemp. Shemp and Curly are two of the funniest men that have ever lived !
@@karlhess7064 Yeah I was the same way when I was a kid (granted this was in the 80's). But I gained a lot of respect for Shemp once I knew the story. He gave up a successful (and probably higher paying) career to return to the Stooges after Curly's stroke, just so Moe and Larry wouldn't lose their jobs. While Curly will always be my favorite Stooge (his natural comedic talent was just amazing), and I do think he was funnier than Shemp, Shemp was still funny in his own way. Moe, Shemp, and Curly were all real life brothers. Larry was a close family friend (close enough to basically be an honorary brother).
@@StormsparkPegasus Thanks for the feedback !
I loved them as a child. I love them now as an older man and how the world needs those boys now.
Hi my dad and I love the 3 stooges still loved them all
Your father Jerome curly howard brought laughter for generations after all these years later appreciate a good laugh with larry fine and moe howard you guys made my weekend appreciate you guys thanks for a good laugh keep the laughs coming appreciate you guys thanks you are proud right ?! Joe
Curley was the best. What a talented man.
Moe, Curly and Shemp were brothers in real life. Imagine all the high jinks and goofing around they did as kids running around the house driving their parents crazy.
LOL!!! This was really cool learning more about my favorite Stooge. But the clip at the end of this had me laughing so hard I nearly choked 😂 Rolling back and forth on my bed laughing, and I think it's amazing how their magic still works today! I need more of this in my life, because laughter is good for the soul and you can't help but laugh when you watch Curly in action! 😊
I love the stooges I have been watching since I was a kid.
I want to hear her say: Yuk Yuk Yuk. And who's idea was it to put that on his grave? That is so funny, he still makes people laugh when he is gone.
I love the stooges. I remembered when I was young I would make my Grandmother watch them. I would call her after an episode an ask what it was about. Lol
Curly sure left this world way too soon. I always wondered what The Three Stooges would have been like had he stayed with the team longer.
The Lord called him just in time. RIP to the Legend
I grew up watching the Three Stooges. I still watch them too. There has never been a comedy Trio to ever come close to the Three Stooges and there never will. Ted Healy ripped them out of a lot of money. RIP Moe/Larry/Curley/Shemp.
Very nice informsstion. It is greatly appreciated 😊😊😊😊Curly wa s a gift to all of us who enjoyed the 3 stooge. Thank you so very much for sharing This with us. Steve.
Your Dad is without a doubt the funniest man ever to walk the Earth......he has brought joy to billions ........
Janie, your dad was the best.
Curly, my favorite of all of them.
Curly is my favorite comedian of all time! Laugh at every scene repeatedly! Ma-Ha… 😂🤣😂🤣
Curly was the funniest that ever lived!!!
Curly had a loveable innocence that made him even funnier
Thank you so much for sharing. As a baby boomer born in the mid 50s I was of that generation that would get up early on Saturday morning and watch the 3 Stooges. The old short movies from the 1930s and 1940s were rerun on T.V in the 1960s. Nice memories...and no ...I did not hit my little brother on the head with a hammer or whack him with a wrench lolol...as kids we knew the difference between real and comedy. However everyone had their version of Curlys Nyuk nyuks and funny sounds he could make. They were really nice men and Columbia Pictures treated them very shabbily at the end of their contract. It was awful !!!
Wé
I am related to several senators and a recent vice President, along with a famous general. But I would MUCH rather be related to any of the Three Stooges! That is soooo cool.
I love the photo of her father that she has framed, in the suit just standing there, so handsome. Her Mom was a pretty lady.
The chemistry between these three is genius! Its so rare that i think it's only happened maybe a couple other times that I can think of, ever.
Her father was a wonderful actor and so wonderful and funny and loved by us all
She seems like a really sweet lady !!!!
My Grandfather went to grammar school with the Howard Bros. Curly was incredible.
"Can you give me 5 for this "? Moe----" No but i can give you 2" !
I missed the uncontrollable laughs watching 3 stooges. Oh god I miss that feeling. Thank you Stooges you were the best
A still photo of Jerome Horwitz (curly) performing with the Mills brothers.wow so cool!
Wow what it must’ve been like to grow up as Curlys child 😆
When I tivo a stooge episode I stop at a scene and go back many times and I "belly laugh" the 10th time as I did at the first , thank you stooges you really are outstanding!
I miss those guys.
I met her, Moe's son and daughter along with Larry's sister.
Is she still with us? How old is she and where she lives nowadays?
Larry sister past away afew years ago
Outstanding... Just Outstanding. TYVM
Im a huge fan im always watching them on tv
Thank you for sharing this
Hi Jaynee, not sure of the spelling….sorry. I hope you and the family know how loved and appreciated they were. They were a part of our family, we repeated all their catch phrases and thought we were sooooo funny doing it. My fondest memories are being with my Grandad and rolling around with laughter. My favourite episode was when Curly pretended to be a female opera singer by miming the song. Sending love and best wishes from Australia ….nyuk, nyuk, nyuk 😆😆
Those guys were awesome thanks for sharing bless you
Just Awesome! Thank you for posting.
We all loved your Dad.
Actually she's wrong about how Jerome got his nickname "Curly"
Moe told the story a few times, mainly on talk shows; Curly got his stage name after Ted complained that Jerome didn't look funny with long hair and a moustache. So Jerome shaved his head and came back to Ted to see if he approved. Ted commented "Well at least now you don't look girly", and Moe and Larry thought Ted said "Curly", and the name stuck with Jerome.
Happy accidents are always the best. Kudos to Moe tho for knowing that name is gold.

Excellent. I was not aware of the western Pennsylvania connection. So cool.
Too bad the location closed in 2019. Sad to have missed an opportunity to visit and met the owner of Keynotecafe. Thanks for this video. Really enjoyed it.
Anyone who leaves a thumb down on this video must be living a miserable life
Any thumb down is probably because of the shitty editing.
Curly...always my favorite
