Justin, I had one burner acting up! Did what you said. Pain in the ass to get the control valve out but sure enough the tiny orifice at the end had a very small restriction. Blew most of it out but used a paper clip anyway. Sprayed some CLR on the bezel screws as they were rusting despite being stainless. Got it all back together and tested. Works great! 1000 thanks for the tip!!!
Justin outstanding job on troubleshooting! Dam ants! Here in Texas we have the red ants. Just now was given a free nexgrill pit. Going to troubleshoot it for no light. Thank you for the video, showed me how to dismantle valve!
Justin, thanks for the video. I have a next grill… gas doesn’t come out of any of the burner. I had gone on vacation and the grill had no cover and I’m sure it was rained on. I switched the Amerigas propane tank with a full blue rhino propane tank. None of the burner lights on. Do you think it’s because of the different propane tank or maybe the things are clogged with something? Thank you.
Not 100% sure because I no longer have the grill. You can try spraying compressed air into the output of the value and turn the valve fully on and fully off while spraying.
found your video searching for solution on my older model Jenn-Air #720-0164, everything works but, fires up full throttle only - can not throttle - does this mean need to replace the value completely? wondering if you had this experience before. thanks
@leefamilytx hmmm. Maybe. Did you take them apart and spray the valves with WD40? Just make sure to wipe all the WD40 off before trying again. Since it's more than 1, it might also be the regulator that is between the gas tank and burners.
Mine acts up when turning on more than 2 burners at a time. Out of the 4 burners, I can ignite 1, 2 and as soon as I open the regulator for the third or 4th burner, all three burners go to a low flame condition. This will also jump to the others, meaning, if I start by turning on burner 2 and 3, and then attempt to turn on burner 1 or 4, it will again do the same thing. No matter the order in which I do it, 4,1 all works great, but add a third burner and it all goes dim...??? What gives? It cannot be the regulator since I can light it and get full flames, so long as I only stick to igniting and running one or two burners. Only happens when I attempt to light a 3rd one.
I know this video is old but we got one of these a couple years ago but within maybe two years both the farthest right burners fell apart completely. These grills are obviously junk
I actually loved mine but it only lasted a year and then I opened it after sitting all winter and it was covered thick in green and black mold, so I just wheeled it to the curb.
@@becausestuffbreaks yeah i tried to get a cover for my husband but it didnt stay on right and within a year or two like i said the right 2 burner covers were completely destroyed falling apart. Home depot i believe who delivered it dropped it anyways on the way up the deck stairs and dented it. I wont buy another one thats for sure!
good video. observation only, not skepticism.... Teflon tape should be wrapped the other direction so it seals itself in the direction of twist. no-nothing just suggestion the "tail of the Teflon should be the tail of your wrap" *Hold thread piece with left hand, wind with right clockwise* {in the direction you are tightening, some things require reverse threads/coupling but rarely} ruclips.net/video/65i2vGWi3AE/видео.html again, not criticism, purely FYI :-)
I am just getting around to fixing it now had been using with three burners I’m changing the burners and plates because they are old and worn out but I’m pretty sure my valve is stopped up so I’ll be checking that valve as you did. Hope it works it’s a great grill with the side searing burner
Interesting. I loved this one. Only reason I got rid of it was because it got covered in mold all over the inside, and I had no desire to deal with that.

Got me the 6 burner grill. Damn thing is a beast cooking. Love this grill..☺☺☺☺☺☺👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you. Helped me out of a jam.

By the “things” I meant gas lines. Didn’t know the proper word. Sorry 😊
I repaired a similar problem on another grill. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/d7t75BEGpDs/видео.html
This is was super educational and helpful...but what if you did get debris into the main valve, how would you access it to clean it?
Not 100% sure because I no longer have the grill. You can try spraying compressed air into the output of the value and turn the valve fully on and fully off while spraying.
Justin, I bought 4 new ceramic igniters for this particular grill. Can you help how to replace? Thx!
I wish I could. I threw mine away already
That help a lot , now I know what to look for if I run into that problem.. 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Do you have a video on how to change the ignitor? For this model. Thanks
No. Sorry

Is it only happening in one burner or all of them?
@@becausestuffbreaks - 2 of the 4 burners

If you lose the cotter key can you use another 1 or something similar to replace it?
Sure can. Just make sure it's not flammable.
Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Clean your Grill after each use, this will prevent this from happening....

Sounds exactly like the regulator. Mine did the same exact thing.
Ants were getting high as fuck in your gas valve.
It was crazy. Never would have expected 🐜 to try living in a gas line. Never happened again though. Thanks for watching!

Nothing like cleaning your grill once a decade.
Waste of time
About to push mine off a cliff. Piece of shit.
Have the 6 burner as well. Great vid. Thx again!!! Hopefully its been good otherwise?
I made another video about converting it to lava rocks to reduce flare ups
Good stuff. But... Clean that nasty grill!
No
ANTS!!! I'll be dipped!
Lol, yep. Thanks for watching!
My far right burner went out first as well
Did you fix it? What was it? Thanks for watching!

Yeah nexgrill are garbage they’re very unreliable. Mine stopped working after maybe 10 bbqs at most
