Its been 3 years. You are the first one to have nailed it. Looking forward to emploting your technique

Just want to say I was having horrible pain in my upper back between my neck and shoulder and your shrugging exercises have helped me. The first day I had a lot of pain but today is day 2 and the pain is has diminished to the point I can sleep better. I realize now we have to exercise our neck and shoulders when having a sedentary job. I’m also a side sleeper which makes things worse. Thanks for all.

Thanks for this...if you can spare the time, I'm wondering: after I release the shrug, I feel ache/muscle-tightness go up back of neck (bilaterally), back of head➡i.e.➡occiput, all the way over crown to front of hairline, plus get some tightness inside ear canal area & a cheek muscles that stays present for abt 5+ minutes.➡does this description give you an idea of how I may be doing the exercise incorrectly? Thanks very much❣

Hi Shena, It's best to do it standing up but it's difficult to do it standing up you can do it sitting down.

    Hey man,
Is it normal for upper back pain to come and go at random? I'm getting blood tests this week and I'm extremely anxious that it could be something serious.
