    My Whipple broke 5 times in 9 months. Never did anything crazy to it. 7-8pounds of basic boost, headers, Intake, catback and Nick Williams 103 throttle body. Was a headache and money pit. Was fun when it worked but it was alway in the shop waiting on parts from Whipple.

    The Hyper Blue 2SS with the Whipple to F-1A-94 Procharger is mine. Just got it back last week. It is a wild experience to drive. I miss the Whipple whine but the Procharger has a distinct sound of its own that will make you forget all about the whine. Trust me. I'm waiting on my Nitto NT555RII tires to really put my foot into it. I already took out a 2017 C7 Z06 that had headers, x-pipe, intake, pulley and tune. I literally blew past him tires smoking all the way thru 4th gear at 80% throttle. I let him get ahead by about 15 car lengths because I was rolling into throttle up to 4th gear so as not to blow up the tires. If you have the scratch and want a beast from hell this is how you do it. Hats off to Race Proven Motorsports. I'm the proud owner of a street monster!

      I’m in the market for a supercharger for my 17 ss been leaning towards the whipple because I am in california and planned to take it to whipple. But you feel the pro charger is better? I’ve heard of problems on both so hard for me to choose. Daily driven now but maybe will be a weekend driver after supercharged.

    So the engine isn’t actually having knock with the whipple it’s just causing the sensor to act up cause it’s so loud? And was that causing it to throw a code or engine light?

    Whipple is good on other platforms, 5.0s preform the best unless going for 4 digits procharger will slightly edge them out.

    I got all bolt ons my c5 zo6 she made 661RWHP with a c6 rear end ,she has a T3 supercharger, I was told it's only around 5lbs of boost. I bought the car like this. Would a bigger throtle body n intake make more power? Or is it time to open up the motor n maybe bigger charger?🤔 n do I need to look at driveshafts n better gears?

      Wait till the next gen Whipple comes out for the LT's. Complete redesign. Talked with them extensively about my Whipple issues. The radiating noise was biggest reason for them to discontinue production of them. Mine pulled timing like crazy brand new out of the box. Some people got lucky and got ones with better gear sets that were quieter. I like the fact that the procharger doesn't hit as hard as the PD blowers from a punch now that I'm at 1000RWHP. It makes it almost possible to achieve traction at that power level. The Whipple was fun at 560RWHP but no comparison to the never ending pull of the Procharger. Also you do not have to worry about the false knock because the Procharger is basically isolated from the center mass of the engine. If you want a PD blower I would go with Magnuson 2650 or the ported GM. They are much quieter vibration wise. Me myself I'll never buy another Whipple due to the quality, halfass support and horrible installation manuals.

      @@RaceProvenMotorsports would you get more power from a tvs2650 or the procharger?

    • @johnleinen5867
      @johnleinen5867 2 года назад +2

      @@keithlewis2964 Depends on how much fuel you want to throw at it and how good the bottom end of your engine is. They will both make about the same power with the same fueling. Procharger will be more forgiving down low with ability to get traction. The TVS2650 will hit like a sledgehammer from the punch and not be so forgiving in the traction department. I've driven both PD blowers and centrifugal blowers now and they are way different. The PD blowers hit hard right off the punch while the Procharger hits slower and then just pulls and pulls and pulls. You'd have to ride in both to see what you prefer. If I had to do all this over again from the start knowing what I know now I would have gone with the Procharger from the get go.

    • @keithlewis2964
      @keithlewis2964 2 года назад

      @@johnleinen5867 i will be running 325s in the back and really just want the most useful power from start to finish. My biggest concern was losing power from prochargers while manually shifting gears. Like you said, the tvs is instant power, while the procharger builds boost a bit differently. Im building a beefed up 6.0 ls with dreams of putting 700+ to the wheels with a supercharger. That is my goal

    • @johnleinen5867
      @johnleinen5867 2 года назад +1

      @@keithlewis2964 I would go Procharger. With the tech that is involved with the manuals you really don't lose any boost between shifts. With the size tire your running and HP goal of 700 you probably would be fine with a TVS2300 the TVS2650 would be overkill. Definitely go Magnuson or GM. First go for a ride in both before pulling the trigger. A big investment to not be happy. I'm thrilled with my Procharger. I thought I loved the Whipple.
