I’m pretty sure DJI would have had the same problem. I even get ELRS link quality warnings if I put too much stuff between me and the drone. Physics rules! Moral of the situation - get RTH and failsafe sorted and you are much less likely to lose a drone. I’ve seen a few videos of long rangers losing drones recently - my sympathy is somewhat muted if they don’t have RTH…

Agree 100% mate. My first reaction was to punch up and hope the vtx would reconnect...luckily it did. Failing that next was to rth failsafe... I've had some trouble with rth on my rekon quads and don't trust it atm. I'm still working on my settings for a safe return. Ever since Betaflight introduced rth and land I've had nothing but trouble with it.... cheers for stopping by. 🍷👍👍🙏

Gps rescue is a must when flying long range. There's no excuse with betaflight 4.5 and gps moduls for less than 20 €/$/£

Totally agree mate. I use it on all my quads.. however I've had some issues getting it to work on a couple of them. If you do install and activate it make sure you find a nice open space to test it out. 🍻👍

Gorgeous video and beautiful area highlighted by nice flying. The 900 MHz link in the TBS Crossfire has an easier time bending around some geographic features without getting socked up by the earth so the TBS link will continue to go strong even though the video is starting or suddenly dropping out.... (the higher the frequency the lower the penetration and video is air 5.8GHz); Insuring you can punch out (no trees) can be a life saver. Question: Was this video recorded on the SkyZones from the WalkSnail HDMI feed or does the WalkSnail Receiver have an SD Card slot? That video quality was great and I am toying with an upgrade from Analog, Goggles and receiver, but still need an analog link with the HD for the quads I don't change over..

Agree mate. 👍 The tbs did save me as I was able to punch up and regain my video feed from behind the hill. The next step was going to be a failsafe. I have flown in pretty dodgy areas before and trust the crossfire setup.
With the walksnail receiver attached to my syyzone goggles you are able to record the picture directly to sd card to walksnail. As the unit is attached via hdmi to goggles there is no avenue to use the SD slot in the goggles. The system can also allow the same recording to the unit on the quad.
To.answer your question, the picture that you are seeing is from the SD card from my Walksnail goggles receiver. Yes the quality is second to none.
I too have loads of analogue quads and love that this setup gives me the best of both worlds!
