      He have strongly damaged knees and needs surgery. Last 3 years he squats near of 200kgs because of it. so it takes a long time to wait him in 3 lifts

      Nikolay Zhukov wow really? If its true its very unfortunate to hear, I was wondering why there wasn't any new footage of the squat from him. How will he compete in full meet at GPA worlds then?

    da fuck. that looked easy for him. I need to learn a thing or to from this guy. I like the way he pulls the tension out of the bar as he brings his hips into position and keeps his hips down. Awesome form

    And now 405 kgs is being pulled by an 82.5 kgs lifter. Powerlifting is evolving at a very fast pace.

    Do you know how tall Pozdeev is Wade? He seems fairly skinny for 242.

      I'm not sure. Knowing Pozdeev, something ridiculous. Last year he tried 418.5 and missed it!

    • @dakleenesebi2
      @dakleenesebi2 10 лет назад

      but that 418,5 kg were as close as it gets :D

    • @powerlifting1986
      @powerlifting1986  10 лет назад

      Yes, it was very close!

    • @powerlifting1986
      @powerlifting1986  10 лет назад +1

      Sebastian--I just checked. He tried 410 kgs twice, but missed it. He was trying to beat out Belyaev for 1st place on Wilks.

    • @nikolayzhukov5152

      he try 410 twice, but just lift it off.. 5 weeks ago he had a some injury of spine discus

    he is the same weight class with Dan Green right ?
    So Pozdeev > Dan Green ? Unbelievable :(

    • @guilhermepinto7
      @guilhermepinto7 9 лет назад +2

      Dan Green's total is bigger. Dan Green pulled 865 at the cage last year. I think Dan Green will be able to come close to this number if he decides to do deadlift-only meets.
      Needless to say, Pozdeev is a fantastistic lifter. His technique is a masterpiece,

  • @andreigf

    It's a lie !!!! Rekodr belongs Andrey Belyaev (395 @ 89,9kgs), Pozdeev took second place !!!!

    • @JaayProdiJaay
      @JaayProdiJaay 9 лет назад

      Андрей головков whats a lie? he has the WR for 198 and Pozdeev has the 242 record. Andrey's is more impressive though obviously

    • @andreigf
      @andreigf 9 лет назад +1

      JaayProdiJaay This is a record among all weight categories. It is calculated by the Wilks formula. Andrey, the figure is 252,33, while Pozdeev is 243,24. Andrew holds the all-time record.

  • @Whitedoorsareblack
    @Whitedoorsareblack 10 лет назад

    Could he not have lost 8lbs and broken 220 record?

    • @powerlifting1986
      @powerlifting1986  10 лет назад +3

      The 220 record is more than the 242 record, and Pozdeev is already pretty skinny at 242. For this competition there is an absolute winner and a winner based on Wilks, so he cut past 242 significantly in order to try to beat out Belyaev for best Wilks. I don't think he could have made it all the way to 220.

      etwade fair enough, cheers for the info!

    • @powerlifting1986
      @powerlifting1986  10 лет назад +1

      No problem; that's what I'm here for! He actually did try for 904 lbs / 410 kgs and missed it twice, so it's likely he couldn't beat Coan's 901@220, considering the strength hit he would have taken cutting 8 more lbs.

    • @nikolayzhukov5152
      @nikolayzhukov5152 10 лет назад

      etwade but he had 418 on BC 2013 and was close to lock it, as you remember

    • @powerlifting1986
      @powerlifting1986  10 лет назад

      Yes--he is very close! Perhaps just not on this day.
