Exactly the same. Listened to the songbook (singles album) on CD all the time when I was about 10, just as I was getting into Oasis and Blur. 5 years later, I still remember most of them
As a 15-year-old who lives in America, I find SFA the most awesome welsh band I’ve discovered thanks to a friend of mine. This song has always cheered me up if I felt down and sad. Radiator was and still is one of my three favorite albums by them. Keep on rockin you furry animals
@Xero The Almighty SFA were the best band of the 90’s UK rock explosion. Supergrass a close second. Check out Mogwai another great Welsh band that Gruff Rhys has worked with before.
I'm also an American who has developed in interest in Welsh music after I became one of the few American fans of the Manic Street Preachers. I went into your channel playlists and found you have REM, Radiohead, Talk Talk, and Rush's awesome and horrendously underrated Test For Echo album, so you've earned my respect. Not to sound like a boomer (I'm 22), but I'm glad someone your age is listening to such quality music. I wish you the best in your life, PS love the Smeargle avatar.
+chris boulet Oh man I remember listening to this on my walkman, then my discman, then my ipod, then my smartphone, what the fuck, generations will pass and this music will still remain
I had the opportunity to meet this band, to be in the filming of the video. SANTANDERCITO CUNDI. AND BOGOTA COLOMBIA, it was recorded in the ALTO DE LA PALMA hotel, beautiful locations.
Think I was there too and it was one of the best gigs I’ve been to. If they ended with Arnie “best mind fuck yet” from total recall on a loop standing in monster costumes then that’ll be it. Seen them live the most out of any band.
I love most of what this band has made, but this song, and Radiator overally (but not only) are simply superior; there is something in SFA that is linked to some kind of divinity or a higher state of consciousness that is so sensitive, smart and elevated that no-one has ever matched; Radiohead and Cornelius, perhaps, but not too many more. It's a pity they haven't been more successful, masses in this planet just don't get the real thing.
I applauded them not allowing their music to be used for adverts, but that would have got them in front of more people and given them cash to keep doing bigger shows. I saw them on Phantom Power tour at Brixton with great surround sound, projections etc and it was literally mind blowing. Most recent times I have seen them have been great, but not the same impact.
Just got my tickets for The Roundhouse on Dec 8th for the Fuzzy Logic/Radiator Tour - SFA are playing the whole of both albums track-by-track, back-to back. Gwaaaan!
A great song by an underappreciated group with a video of their tourist holiday to Pablo Escobars home town as a backdrop. It doesn't help me at all to understand the song more at all.
Agree!! I thought that with the first guitar sound and the special vibrato and falsetto of the voice. Of course, notes and voices in the chorus finished the illusion. Another Bowie son!!!
It's very Bowie, I always thought more Hunky Dory. Particularly the acoustic guitar. First time I heard it in a noisy bar I was convinced it was Bowie and he'd somehow summoned a miracle from his ragged old satchel.
Wish i had found this band sooner, first heard Juxtapozed With U early last year and more recently have been listening to their other albums. Rings Around the World, Phantom Power & Radiater are amazing + ive listened to a bit of mwng. sfaok!
+littlezit2 A dude I know did the same when they played Byron Bay in Oz some time back. They promised they would send him some records when they got home and they fucking did!!! Legends!
brilliant Sir! . My friends dad (Les Morrison)was their stage manger and we got the full on bollocks VIP passes etc, especially in Wales . Brilliant times those were, it meant we were on the VIP guest list, didn't have to queue to go in etc. There were demons alright, we were all wankered , it was the best time of my life
I love the satisfaction of not hearing a track for many years and then remembering the lyrics when you sing along to it when you hear it again
Ha ha..............yeah man. Same here!
You just earned yourself a high five.
Exactly the same. Listened to the songbook (singles album) on CD all the time when I was about 10, just as I was getting into Oasis and Blur. 5 years later, I still remember most of them
Right? Such a joy!

The Manic Street Preachers AND Gorkys Zygotic Mynci would like a word with you.
ScreamToASigh I know Manic Street Preachers but I don’t know about that other band you mentioned
@@deadchannel3146 Start with 'Patio song' and Spanish dance troupe. Gorkys have split now, but I saw them live once, just over the border from Wales
@Xero The Almighty

More than a hint of Bowie in this song and I mean that in a good way.
Hi. 2023. Reliving my fave 90s album here 🎉
What a damn underrated band they were. Brillant!
Yeah
less than half a million views in 10 years for this work of genius
Came out the week after my 12 birthday. Changed my life.
ten years later...and it's still one of the best songs ever written
this came out in 97
maniq minah Good call. 22 September 1997 to be precise. (Sources: Wikipedia)
skweekah yep, back in the days of tapes and walkmans, lol
+chris boulet Oh man I remember listening to this on my walkman, then my discman, then my ipod, then my smartphone, what the fuck, generations will pass and this music will still remain
You can't count.
So good. Off to Wales soon after being an SFA fan for 10 years!
Deserved to be bigger great band, better than most around at the time . a serious lack of exposure in the 90s they should have been huge.
Brilliant band closest thing to a modern day Kinks & Gruff Rhys looks like a young Ray Davies 😎
I have always thought so !
I had the opportunity to meet this band, to be in the filming of the video. SANTANDERCITO CUNDI. AND BOGOTA COLOMBIA, it was recorded in the ALTO DE LA PALMA hotel, beautiful locations.
This is a masterpiece
It simply doesn't get better than this, makes me cry it's so good.
forgot how much i love this song and album....
Seen these boys at The Barrowlands...best gig ever! Circa 99...
Think I was there too and it was one of the best gigs I’ve been to.
If they ended with Arnie “best mind fuck yet” from total recall on a loop standing in monster costumes then that’ll be it.
Seen them live the most out of any band.
I was there
Id love to here Cians keys singled out on this track. Excellent ivorys
Millonarios FC bagpack! pure class
This is filmed in the El Centro/La Candelaria suburbs of Bogota. Great place, go visit!
What a song. "Sunny days in January, left spaces in my diary" great lyrics.😊

Couldn't have put it better myself. One of rhe most underrated bands ever
Alex Balaclava The are not of this Earth or this reality. simply wonderful.
I think that higher state of consciousness was ecstasy, lsd most likely both. I even perceived their music differently after my mind was opened
Radiohead are not on the same level. Their music is too repetitive and they don't do as many tunes.
Just got my tickets for The Roundhouse on Dec 8th for the Fuzzy Logic/Radiator Tour - SFA are playing the whole of both albums track-by-track, back-to back. Gwaaaan!
Scott Buchan me too! Just been informed I've made the guest list! My 10th SFA show. Still as excited as ever.
good for you
Saw them last night in Dublin. Savage show. Really brilliant. By then end of Radiator the place was buzzing.
Espero conocer algun dia Colombia!
23 años de esta joya
Reminds me of being a teenager.
Thanks lads.
SFA OK!
The horns solo always gets me.
It’s incredible. That and the e-bow guitar.
Such underrated musical engineers 💯for the soul ❤️💕🤘🤘🤘✌️
Sfa are the best British band of the last 20 years
probably the best band ever.
Nearly 30 years now, boyo.
Gruff is so cute in this video X
I know right?
SUPER CUTE 😊😍
I love this band so much I always come back to its songs:) first song I heard of them was presidential suite. Still one of my favs.
Woah. Lovely. What a fabulous vibe.
Bogota-Colombia :)
I love this song, the music, the video...everything!
The best music of our century!

Awesome! !! Seen em +glc in the afa lido sfa were the highlight of my night
A great song by an underappreciated group with a video of their tourist holiday to Pablo Escobars home town as a backdrop. It doesn't help me at all to understand the song more at all.
I hoped yod enjoyed my poor but beautiful cou ntry
Superb song.
¡AGUANTE BOGOTÁ Y MILLONARIOS SIEMPRE!
same
Great song and a very appropriate video.
That song is terrific
The demons know more than you think
Then show me magic, demon.
Bowie soul !!
Agree!! I thought that with the first guitar sound and the special vibrato and falsetto of the voice. Of course, notes and voices in the chorus finished the illusion. Another Bowie son!!!
Could be on Ziggy Stardust and not out of place.
It's very Bowie, I always thought more Hunky Dory. Particularly the acoustic guitar. First time I heard it in a noisy bar I was convinced it was Bowie and he'd somehow summoned a miracle from his ragged old satchel.
@@TuneHawk Quite a lot of acoustic on Ziggy too.
Wish i had found this band sooner, first heard Juxtapozed With U early last year and more recently have been listening to their other albums. Rings Around the World, Phantom Power & Radiater are amazing + ive listened to a bit of mwng. sfaok!
Yeah same I love them so much!
i met these guys and got pissed and stoned with them back stage in the after show party. great guys.
+littlezit2 A dude I know did the same when they played Byron Bay in Oz some time back. They promised they would send him some records when they got home and they fucking did!!! Legends!

Yes!
The best medicine this with some shrooms just beautiful 😍🤩🤩🥰🥰✌✌🤘
Masterpiece!!
Nice cameo from Andrew Loog Oldham as well :-)
3:25 are those drugs or gems?
I love Bogotá, ´cause im from Bogotá
I remember first listening to this song in my room when I was 15. By the time the e-bow and Mariachi horns kicked in I thought. What. Is. Happening?
A great band in their own right, but The Kinks vibes definitely 👌
Do see Gruff Rhys' film Separado!
Cardiff looks weird in this video
Its the trendier south-side of the city, between Tremorfa and Splott
Andy Baul-Lewis haha brilliant!
Hahahahaha!
Don't worry, Cardiff looks weird in all video's
Whereabouts in Cardiff is that beautiful painted blue house? It's gorgeous.
Amazing song that deserved a better video methinks.
Super Furry Animals + Bogota + Millonarios F.C = :')
oh how I wish music was like it was then now. the days when a great band or artist graced tfi Friday every week and nobody knew how Bieber was
who's Biber?
No veo comentarios en español, pero que buena rolita
4:50 guy was focusing on the camera he almost walked into sfa lol
Fantasic
Great song my favourite
Awesome country. Colombia in the 80s ♡
90s
90s
Interviewer: What did you do when you were over in Colombia?
Furries: Took lots of drugs.
haha just kidding
One of the best songs ever but I never felt the video did it justice somehow...
People talking about welsh bands, what about Man?
I don't know Super Furry Animals! (ps the clue is SFA)
Cos i know
that you know
that we know
they both know
what's going on
Brian cannon the best

I always thought it was Brazil, my bad
Am i the only one who listens BLUR in this
📌📌📌
Cos I know that you know that we know they don't know what's going on.
Yeah they're pretty clueless bastards
Anybody else hear Just by Radiohead in there.
Why can't the Furries do videos?
Lovin’ jt I china

1/12/20 :(
16/02/22
16/11/22
Don’t know why, but the video doesn’t suit the song.
Pretty much perfect
Very David Bowie. Not a SFA fan but love this track
Bet if you listened to some other songs a few times you'd be a fan, start with hometown unicorn if you've not heard it
