    If I were a mobster...I prefer work for ( in this order ) Carmine Sr, Jackie Aprile Sr, Johnny Sack and finally Carmine Jr.
    With Tony (and Junior) , like Albert said, you can't be sure to be killed for wearing wrong shoes even if you are a big earner.

    Carmine and based on the what we saw Jackie Aprile senior and Annalisa Zuca. Tony just like Phil Leotardo and Johnny Sack often let his emotions and personal vices cloud his judgements, he comes third at best (let us not forget the number of made men he killed/had killed). Juniors main problem was that he was too greedy and from another time, he did give Tony often good advice.

    Sacrimoni was a very good boss idk WTF you're talking about TBH. for one thing, john used Paulie as a tool to gain inside information and did in fact successfully gain info that enriched the family. The esplanade for example. The property flipping that tony kept from them. He had to cut them in. Also john never meant to keep playing paulie long term. If paulies insdier info was that important then hed have mentioned him to Carmine. He never gained information that directly and solely benefited himself personally. the entire family benefitted by gaining points that wouldve gone under the radar. Paulie however was less and less valuable to john as he lost status or trust gradually and it became apparent to john as paulie blabbed and complained about that fact. Had Carmine lived, hed have gone down with John because the imformant was a powerful old time capo who had tons of knowledge on and was given orders directly by Carmine (it wasnt shown in the show but as a capo you always deal directly with the boss) 20 years as an informant and "it wouldve reached all the way to carmine sr had he survived".

  • @wyldhowl2821
    @wyldhowl2821 5 месяцев назад

    As far as all these bosses, they all had big flaws, and were undermined by them. Tony was often moody and petty and led by self-indulgence. Junior was petty and ruled by his pride. Carmine Sr. was arrogant and greedy towards even his underlings, Phil was a violent psycho driven by resentment, and Johnny Sack was often a hypoctrite. But they all has these problems to one degree or another.
    Honestly the only one who seemed to have HER shit together was Annalisa Zucca in Italy. Serious and yet pragmatic, highly educated but traditional, loyal to her family and respected by her other family. She never shows the least sort of character flaw, perhaps because Italy is a harder meaner place when it comes to gangsters, and the reazor sharp mentality needed for deadly intrigues there goes back all the way to ancient Rome.
    Category-wise, some are real bosses, others just temps & pretenders who were never there long enough to really be in charge.
    Even the bad boss qualities of these guys notwithstanding, even the figurehead boss/underboss relationship, these are actual bosses in the show: Tony, Johnny Sack, Uncle Junior, Carmine Sr., Phil Leotardo, Jackie Aprile Sr.
    (Syl was a temporary caretaker, Santoro for example, was a pretender who never consolidated it, and Carmine Jr. was contender never really in the big seat. )

    I Think tony wouldve been the best boss without his temper(even tho beating up that driver guy was probably the right move). But the way he lashed out on Carlo in the car was probably the reason why carlo flipped.
    Also tony being such a raging prick to other guys too made people to not like him.
    And johnny sack was a pretty good boss too, but there was one option with the ralphie situation that he couldve suggested. Why not just put the beef with ralphie on the backburner for now, and then when the esplanad project is done, then he can take his revenge. I think tony wouldve agreed to that.
