Yes and no! Spraycans can definitely be expensive but sometimes they are left over and can be used on other walls- bucket paint can be expensive if clients want a specific color but Lowes and Home Depot have a mix match area where you can get paint very cheap! But usually my murals are 80-90% income after expenses- unless there’s equipment to rent
I started doing them for family and friends for free, then when I had a small portfolio of work I started doing them for businesses in my city for free, then when built that portfolio I was able to start charging ! Took a little while but super worth it!!
A lil bit of both! I’ve done a lot of mural and sign painting for clients for the last few years while also painting murals in my style for the free for portfolio and festivals. Now I’m starting to move into being able to paint in my style and also get paid ! 😁

Montana Spray paint holds up pretty well! I have murals that are 4-5 years old with no or very little fading. For bucket paint I use sherwin Williams always. Can always add a UV resistant anti graffiti coat too💥

What was this inspired by?
This one was for a client with a beach house in Charleston SC- so it was inspired by the famous pirate Anne Bonnie who grew up there🤟

Is it safe from vandalism
This one is - it’s in an Airbnb. But on public walls I’ll put anti-graffiti coating just in case! So far none of my murals have been vandalized tho 😎🤝
