In case no one has mentioned this, Nora Ephron, the producer, has this quirk of ordering everything on the side. That is why Sally's character was given that same quirk. This is one of the more brilliant romcoms I've ever seen. I've now seen it in reaction on several channels and was looking forward to seeing it on yours. You are such a cute couple.
What makes this the best Rom-Com of all time is it is the 50/50 view from a Man & a Women. Written by 2 men and 2 women. Nora Ephron & Rob Reiner wrote the script, but on set Billy & Meg had complete input into changing things. Billy is a master of improve. He wrote the best line in the movie "I'll have what She"s having". If you 2 are watching Rom-Coms you have to watch "The Good-Bye Girl"(1977). The first Rom-Com to make $100 Million. Richard Dreyfuss won the Best-Actor Oscar for the lead in a Rom-Com. Not to many Actors win for a Rom-Com. The song for from the movie "The Goodbye Girl" was a huge hit as well. Not considered a Classic Song.
I've loved this movie for years - must have watched it a hundred times. As I watch different reactions by couples on their youtube channels, I notice how they laugh and gaze over at each other and touch each other's arms or lay their head on their partner's chest - a movie that shows real emotions does affect our relationships and it's just cool to see it in real time.
Probably the best romantic comedy of all time, people talk about the chemistry that Meg Ryan had with Tom Hanks in their 3 movies which were are very good but I think Meg has even more with Billy.
Sally's unique way ordering is exactly how writer Nora Ephron orders. She and director Rob Reiner were out eating and when she ordered like that, Rob said that needs to go in the movie.
That was the money quote, right there. "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible".
Best romantic comedy I think ever. Also yeah depending on kids, business calls, someone always on their phone two landlines wasn't insane. Hell having a spare just for online was common.
In the classic deli scene, it was actually Meg Ryan's idea to fake the O. Billy Crystal wrote the classic line "I'll have what she's having," which was spoken by director Reiner's mother Estelle.
The underwear bit @ the beginning where she tells him "they don't make Sunday because of God" girl there are only six to a pack, that's why no Sunday! cracks me up every time
This is one of the few films that you can still watch in 40 years, even though it is already 35 years old. If you're feeling down, call your best friend/boyfriend, buy a big pack of Häagen Dazs Cookies and Cream and just have fun with this great movie.
"While You Were Sleeping" is my other favorite movie. I hope that is on your list, or will be? :) Sandra Bullock and many other well known actors are in it. Has a lot of heart!
Hellen...was big in the 80s and early 90s. Great in Necesaary Roughness! And the coolest name in Hollywood ever. Harley Jane Kozach! Im not a huge romcom fan, and most have completely unbelievable situations or setups. That being said, this could very well be the best romcom ever. U would proly have to go back to a cary grant movie, to get better. Pro tip, the 2 guys were also in city slickers with a teen Jake gyllinhaal! The answer is no. If a man finds a woman attractive. And the best written script by a female ever, for a male dominated cast...Slapshot!!😅. Pro tips. The , ill have what shes having lady...the directors ma! The 4 way phone call scene, was shot in 3 different rooms, split screen added, simultaneously with no edits, because perfect timing was needed, it took 61 takes!😮😮. And yes hes the voice of mike in, Monsters Inc!😮😮😮also the friend is young Clemenza in godfather 2 and in Robin Williams Good morning Vietnam! And he did a comedy about young Clemenza and Vito Corleone from Godfather, and Ferris Bueller, in a great comedy called, The Freshman!
I honestly enjoyed the reaction just as much as the film.😳 A few Romance/RomComs that for the most part haven't been reacted to by other channels and that I'm sure y'all would enjoy. 1. Only You (1994) Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. 2. Moonlight Mile (2002) Jake Gyllenhaal and Susan Sarandon (My favorite film of all time. The writing is outstanding). 3. Elizabethtown (2005) Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst 4. Alfie (2004) Jude Law 5. Sabrina (1995) Julia Ormond and Harrison Ford 6. The Lake House (2006) Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock 7. Waiting to Exhale (1995) Whitney Houston and Angela Bassett 8. Notting Hill (1999) Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant 9. You've Got Mail (1999) Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks 10. City of Angels (1998) Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan 11. Meet Joe Black (1998) Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins Y'all Take Care ....
Just a note that the background music was too loud and made it difficult to hear your final comments. Your dialog was hard to hear during the movie as well.
Waiting for one of you to mention Carrie Fisher . . . He's freaked out because he just had sex with his best friend. You can have more than one landline; they probably have them for business reasons. Yes, men and women can be friends. But friendship is also a good basis for a romance sometimes too.
A crazy romance/action movie is DRAGONSLAYER. It was a Disney/Paramount Pictures collab back in 1981. You should do a date night reaction to that great movie. It also has the Emperor from Star Wars in it. See if you can pick him out of the lineup of actors in the movie. Fun, Fun, Fun.

This is the greatest Rom-Com.

Agreed. They're great together in this.
Sally's unique way ordering is exactly how writer Nora Ephron orders. She and director Rob Reiner were out eating and when she ordered like that, Rob said that needs to go in the movie.
I actually saw this move for the first time a few months ago. It instantly became one of my favs. It's really good and funny.
That was the money quote, right there. "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible".
Had that quote read out at my wedding. I adore it.
The blond guy, Joe at the airport is the son of President Ford.
That’s a great fun fact! Thanks for sharing.
Best romantic comedy I think ever. Also yeah depending on kids, business calls, someone always on their phone two landlines wasn't insane. Hell having a spare just for online was common.
If you like this you gotta watch City Of Angels and You've Got Mail
Four weddings and a Funeral, Sleepless in Seattle and Notting Hill are great RomComs
In the classic deli scene, it was actually Meg Ryan's idea to fake the O. Billy Crystal wrote the classic line "I'll have what she's having," which was spoken by director Reiner's mother Estelle.
this dude's so buff
The underwear bit @ the beginning where she tells him "they don't make Sunday because of God" girl there are only six to a pack, that's why no Sunday! cracks me up every time
..yes, there are six in the pack because they leave out Sunday! There is no law that says there cannot be 7 in a pack.😂😂
@@NeptuneLady1957 there may not be a law, but corporations sure love to make 6 pack underwear bundles the standard. Include Sunday FFS.
Top-tier movie choice and reaction! Just a small thing, 50:39 the background music a little overpowering.
Otherwise keep doing what you do!!
Marie is Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia😊
Great romcoms are fantastic, and this is one of the greatest. Some of the best dialogue ever.
thanks for reaction

Agree 💯
This film also set the tone for rom coms ' can guys and girls be friends' 'friends to lovers' etc@@disneydatenite
Top 3 Romantic Comedy!
“The clock doesn’t really start to tick until you’re 36” Aaaaand cue existential crisis from turning that age this year.

City Slickers is my favorite
I have a similar habit of finding out the endings to books or movies before going back to the beginning. Just in case😂
Just a note that the background music was too loud and made it difficult to hear your final comments. Your dialog was hard to hear during the movie as well.
Please react to PS I Love You!
Love this flick. Possibly the best.
Another great one, Moonstruck, starring Nicholas cage & Cher.
50:04 yay! Reminds me of Rob from Rob Squad reactions. 🥰

Watch "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" staring Mathew McCanaughy. Great romcom!!
Waiting for one of you to mention Carrie Fisher . . .
He's freaked out because he just had sex with his best friend.
You can have more than one landline; they probably have them for business reasons.
Yes, men and women can be friends. But friendship is also a good basis for a romance sometimes too.
Great reaction. I saw this in the theater with my first love and it sparked some interesting conversation!
This is truly not a movie for everyone. However, if you get into it, it’s hilarious and amazing. Love the couple reaction!
Have to check out the rom/"com" Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. It's different compared to your standard rom/coms.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
26:38+26:39 “I’ll have what she’s having.”

Have you guys ever seen the original _Cinderella?_ It's much better than _Snow White,_ imo.
