R142A (6) between Whitlock Avenue and Parkchester (10-16-11)

For eight months, both Elder Avenue and St. Lawrence Avenue were closed for rehabilitation. On October 16, 2011, at 5 P.M., both reopened to the public.
In this video, an R-142A (6) train runs from Whitlock Avenue and Parkchester, skipping Elder Avenue and St. Lawrence Avenue about 18 minutes before they reopen. After the train leaves Whitllock Station, the abandoned Westchester Avenue station of the New York, New Haven and Hartford railroad can be seen.
