Good video. After a hiatus of about 20 years, I went yesterday to my Indian dealer and ordered a 2024 Scout Icon in Metallic Black with Graphics. So far, the only upgrades I've ordered with it are the 10" Ape Hanger handlebars in stainless and the LED Headlight. I've already picked out the new exhaust, which will be the Freedom Performance 2 into 1 Combat Exhaust in chrome. The Saddlebags will be the Viking Extra Large black leather with the fringe.
If you are interested, I will keep you updated on my purchase. I don't have a delivery date as of yet. The dealer told me it could be two weeks or June.

That is freaking sweet, I can only imagine how awesome that bike is going to come together. For sure update me on how things go! Glad to see you back at it, ride safe!

The Scout definitely has looks going for it. I considered it and an FTR as my next bike from the Rebel 500 but I ended up going with a Tiger 900 GT Pro because I wanted something more long-distance and off-road capable. Still envy the cruiser looks, though!

Hey I totally understand that. If I could only justify buying multiple bikes……
The Tiger looks like a really cool bike!

As a Rebel 500 owner as well, I loved test riding a Scout as well. The extra pull made me giggle. Not sure if I’ll get one, but man was it fun!

      Absolutely! It’s tempting though.

I am coming from 125cc to the Indian Scout Rogue. I am waiting for the dealership to get the 2024 model in stock. Just like you I have been eyeing out the Rogue for few years now myself. I agree, it's such a beautiful motorcycle.

That is so exciting, congratulations on getting your new bike, I know you will have a ton of fun on it!
Yeah, it’s one of the best looking cruisers out there for sure.

Adventure bike all the way! I think you would really enjoy it by the how you talk about riding.
    Love from indy ;)

Yeah, I really do like adventure bikes. And there are a ton of great places to go off road where I live. I’ll need to see if I can test ride one.

Man. I dropped my bike for the very first time yesterday. Gotta replace the levers. If I'm not mistaken, I think you have a video showing how to do that. So, thanks in advance! lol
And I agree with the Indian Rogue. Love that look. My only thing is, if I'm getting away from my Honda, to get American, why not just join the Dark Side and go with a HD? Your opinion?

    • @evergreenmoto
      @evergreenmoto  10 месяцев назад

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear that! Hopefully it wasn’t too much damage beyond the levers. The good news is, there are some really cool lever options out there and they are very easy to replace! Happy to help!
Yeah… that’s a good point for sure. I am very interested in Harley and do plan to do some test rides this upcoming riding season. I have no issue with Harley. I think I like the look of the Scout slightly better than the Nightster, but it is still a really cool bike. The sportster S is also pretty cool and packs a ton of power.
I just need to go experience some Harley’s more, the Lowrider S looks sick as well, but I’m hesitant to get an air cooled motorcycle. And all Harley’s compared to the Rebel 1100 are more expensive… so I’m not sure. I’ll have more opinions hopefully this summer.

Cruise control on the Rebel 500s would be nice. Since the Rebel 1100's throttle is electronically controlled, its not too hard to add in cruise control to the rain/sport modes. I've heard from other moto-vloggers that they prefer the direct throttle like the Rebel 300/500 and the Yamaha MT-07.
Looking forward to you Indian ride video !

Not too late to buy a harley they all have cruise control.

Great point, yeah the electronic throttle does feel a bit different. I want to take something on a longer ride to get a good feeling for it.

A scout is a great touring bike. Getting larger displacement and heavier bikes is truly about comfort and convenience. I toured for over a decade on a Triumph 865cc Speedmaster. You are young and have a lot of years to get your geezer bike. Opinions are like... you know the rest. I road all of the Scouts, I think the Rogue is my favorite, but the Bobber 20 is very attractive. The Chief was nice, but i still liked the Rogue better. The FTR was fun but not for me. I did get an opportunity to do direct back to back with an BMW RnineT that day. That was an awesome back to back. I do think in that 1000cc to 1300cc category for cruiser and standard motorcycles is the sweet size for all arounders, meaning people who can't or do not want a bunch of motorcycles. Try all the brands you can, and you have a great bike in the meantime and do not have to be in a hurry. I will say on paper that the Rebel 1100 is the best bang for your buck. Good luck, keep it up, and have fun.

Thank you for sharing your experience, this is really cool and helpful to hear! I have ridden the Speedmaster before, it’s a great bike. Yeah, I do think that 1000cc size is perfect and will last a really long time. I wanted to make sure I had a chance to try some of the other bikes that I really like, and want to also have some of the comfort features. But at the end of the day, the Rebel 1100 is really attractive with its size and price.
Great advice, thanks again. Ride safe!
