Worked fantastic with the senseo pods we found there. Pressed the coffee and all the grounds were nice and neatly kept in the little coffee filtered pod.
For the collapsible pourover system, it says to use #4 filter. Given that the bottom of the unit is flat, can you use a Kalita Wave filter? And I guess V60 filters are out of the picture, right?
I saw the grinder at my local outdoor outfitters. I was really tempted to pick it up. But I decided to hold off till I looked at some online reviews. I am actually interested in it to grind spices not coffee. It looks like it may make a dandy little spice grinder.
I received two of these products for my birthday, the Java MIll and the Commuter Java Press. Both are brilliant ideas, however I'm less than impressed. The Java Mill is made of cheap plastic, which has stress cracks from the factory, and cracked completely open when I tried to remove the top for the first time (I was following the directions.) It does grind coffee perfectly, though. As for the french press, the gasket does NOT keep coffee from leaking when you drink, so you get coffee spilling down your chin when you try to sip. Again, I followed directions, these are just products that don't work very well :-(
Gail, you have a Fan in México, so wonderful you're opinions. And also I'm a "anything with half and half" !! thanks for the video
The press cup was an amazing help when we took our trip to Iceland last year.

Great review thinking about getting the coffee grinder for camping
can you pack the GSI javamill grinder into the GSI commuter Java Press?

Can you do an updated version of this video?
So Gail, about the javapress, will it makes the coffee over extracted..?
Considering we just leave the grounds steeped inside while commuting..
Hey Gail, what is warm for Seattle? (In Eureka warm is 78)
Are you using a Hario 02 filter in the MSI Java Drip?

Would the java mill do enough for a full size press without loading?
Yes it will!
GSI is located in Spokane Valley, WA.☕👊🤤✌☕
I want to work for y'all, seems like fun times!
That moka-pipe thingy is actually quite interesting, it probabaly sucks as far as quality is concered, but it is pretty cool.

The SUV of coffee products. "Made for outdoors," but used for commuting.
Might be useful for traveling.
pour over brewing and camping do not go together :(
that Java press is the ticket.
When camping I know what method I prefer, pourover. Cleaning that press would drive me insane.
Awful
