You stated that Active Traction Control is not available in 4L. The Owners Manual for the 2022 model clearly states that Active Traction Control is available in 4L. In the event you engage the Rear Differential Lock while in 4L then this deactivate Traction Control, Active Traction Control and ESP.
Oh yes, you are right. In fact, you would notice that where I had inserted the text, I am verbally saying that the diff is locked. So, yes, A-TRAC (and other electronic aids) will not work when the diff lock is on. Will mention that as a pinned comment. Glad to have hawk eye viewers like you! ❤️

When to make the decision to go for 4l atrac vs 4l diff lock. I wish there was auto-lsd for front wheels with rear diff lock or 4l atrac with diff lock. Why didnt you test 4l atrac on that most steep hill. That would have given power to that one front wheel that had traction. Great in-depth testing 👌🏻 👏🏻

Haven't driven the manual, so cannot comment. But, yes, more torque is always welcome. 😃
What engine does the Toyota Fortuner have? I have Toyota fortuner 2017 engine 3.0 Turbo Diesel
It now comes with a 2755 cc engine which is more powerful than the 3.0 😃
the Toyota fortuner brings different engines 3.0 Diesel 2.8 Diesel 2.4 Diesel 2.7 gasoline 4.0 gasoline. fortuner 2021 2.8 Diesel is more powerful with 204 HP

Both are 2.8 diesels. The 4.0 petrol isn't available in India. The 2.7 petrol is but no one buys it 😃
2.8 diesel is better than 4.0l petrol in almost all offroading conditions and even on regular pavement considering the mileage. It offers 205 bhp and 500 NM torque. Where as 4.0 l petrol offers 235 bhp and 376NM torque. The only advantage 4.0l petrol has over 2.8 diesel is when you bashing very tall dunes like they do in Dubai. It's high CC will help during steep climbing these tall dunes at higher rpm. Which is why it's offered in Dubai.

Not the diff lock. Unlike on the Gloster, you can't lock the diff in 2WD here, or even in 4WD. I am talking about the Traction Control button. 😃

I am NOT a Toyota test driver 🤦 I am independent Reviewer who teaches noobs like you to off-road without damaging your vehicle.
So 4×2 with auto LSD would have sufficed for most needs of people who buy this SUV but typical toyota will not offer limited slip differential on it's two wheel drive models not even A-trac although it's mentioned in the website Official brochure that it's available on all models...they overprice their underequipped and obese old school vehicles atleast they should take time to get the details in the brochure correct🙄...missing Ford and Endeavour now 😞
