I've read that the main projection engine is sealed which won't allow the dust to get inside and it should avoid black dots. And for those dust accumulating in the outer lens regular wiping with an appropriate cloth would help.
Hi Ryan, It seems to me that the lens in your projector has a spot on. In the recording, especially on a white background, you can see a black dot. Perhaps it's some dirt on the outer side, but it's worse if this dirt got in during the production stage - inside the optics.
Wanbo has a dust cleaning tutorial for X5 ruclips.net/video/wLFRo5zDVV4/видео.html. But if it's dead pixels you can only send it back, there's nothing to do.
I own a Epson EB u04. In eco mode it got 2.100 and 3000 ansi in normal mode. But let me tell you one thing. Yes it's nice to have a bright picture, but when I'm watching late at night, it's too bright for tired eyes. So cause of this I got a toptro x6 also in my living room that is not that bright like the Epson. And it's more pleasant to watch with the toptro late at night
