    It takes about an hour to do the maintenance items you stated. That shop sounds moderately sus with all that work they are doing and the problem not being fixed. They would be able to diagnose the popping issue pretty quick by looking at air/fuel ratios and misfire codes. With this type of situation you could maybe look into getting a second opinion from a different shop. Although the newer m cars are pretty complex, they are made to be diagnosed.

      ​@@mauricemcghee834 I would not do that considering most people that work on these at the dealership do a terrible job. If you do that you're going to get ripped off badly especially if your car is tuned like this. 95 percent of service writers are scumbags... f the dealership lol

I had a 5 series that was having a drivetrain malfunction problem sadly sending it to BMW was the best option because the side shops in ATLANTA was charging way more and take way longer. My bill was still high either way tho 9k in total

    I say check HPFPs, LPFP, and your Fuel Pump Module. Also make sure everything is coded in properly as well.
    Also check to make sure nothing is on your ignition coil ground wires that would inhibit power going to them as well.

    You need a new mass air flow sensor. That’s all. My 2016 M6 did the same thing and it was the fix to the issue.

    alot of the time when you replace spark plugs and coils or wires. its good to clean injectors or something along those lines. cuz it'll still do the jumping/ dropping rpms at idle

    Go to mnc performance in oceanside long island!!Guy named martin runs the place he owns same motor he been A1 with my M5 and fixed a couple issues i had including drivetrain malfunction!!30k miles since im still good!!Did my downpipes too all 1 day fixes i had to change plugs but yea im 1000% sure he can fix your issues quicker!!He was recommended to me from another mechanic

    I had that issue on my 535i n55 when I got my downpipe it was doing that rpm jumping as well and it also stalled. Replacing the o2 sensor practically fixed it

    It can be a loose charge pipe or the boost Pipe that is loose but that is a possibility (happened to a friend we fixed it )

    Bro I was just dealing with a similar problem on my 528i , The thing would stall out on low rpm , spent a bunch of money going to different Bmw “specialist” n they couldn’t really figure out the problem, last mechanics told me to replace the val cover gasket. in my situation My car was running lean , Airflow sensor helped as well…

      Its weird it runs better the more I drive it. Like if my trip more then 30 mins the check engine light goes off the car starts running perfect and the pops on the tune are even louder

    My rpm was also jumping, and a new EGR valve fixed it (Audi RS3). Dunno if that could be your solution.

    Ots bootmod3 automatically turns off cel on stage 2. You need to run a data log and get it checked by other tuners and technicians.

    Just picked up an F06 M6 and I also have a check engine light 😅 I’ve been told “Drivetrain Malfunctions” happen periodically on these cars that go away on their own in most cases. Some kind of electrical thing apparently. Seems to happen on quite a few other F Chassis BMW’s as well regardless of mileage.
    Is it possible your current issue is due to excess carbon build up in the intake manifold? I know N54 guys have to do walnut blasting every once in a while to run 100%, maybe that’s something us S63 guys have to do as well?

    F82 M4 or F13 M6? I’m looking to daily something fun that handles that’s also quick. The M4 is my main thinking but the M6 is another choice that has the TT V8, both are around my price range.

      Go with the M4. It’s much more reliable. Only have to worry about to Crank hub. If u drive aggressive than yeah replace the crank hub, if not don’t worry. My cousin had the M8 competition and he had to replace a whole new engine under warranty. He traded it for M5 competition LCI. These S63 run Hot and also down the line they aren’t the most reliable thing. Get the M4 it will be better car in the long run

      He not wrong but the TT V8 although not as reliable as there 6 cylinder engines is still more reliable then most V8s in general. Me personally I like big bodies because I was a nice interior on top of the performance.

    i have the exact same problem w my n55. rpms are always jumping around when going slow or reverse but its fine when going fast. ig fast is the only option lol

    What kind of set up do you have? Are you sure you have 800hp on a stage 2 tune? Maybe the reason you are experiencing some problems is because of your tuner. You may have to decrease your power before you blow something up. Stage 2 shouldn't be no more than 710hp

      This car is not 800 hp, bm3 ots around 610-640 whp in most cases for this platform depending on fuel

      Definitely no way close to 800whp or crank hp. Stage 2 bm3 ots 93 oct is only 620whp. Custom is around 660-670whp.

      Kind of. It was already happening very slightly but when I tuned it it definitely made it worse.
