Day 112 Naples to Marco Island 27 miles 1-21-25

The weather was still cold when we left Naples, but the winds were strong at 12 mph. We had wavy conditions, but not too bad. When we got to Marco Island we had differing opinions about where to anchor. We ended up anchoring in a bay open to the north winds which were becoming stronger. We set out two anchors to hunker down from the blow, and we ended up staying two nights because the winds were so persistent. Pete really wanted to move us, but I convinced him otherwise. It wasn’t so bad by the 23rd when we were able to leave. We rested and read. It was a quiet couple of days.
