I was ten years old when I was given almost the same wide short pants, only made for a boy. These pants were ankle length. When I first put them on, I felt strange - I thought wearing these pants would make me look like a girl. But after two or three days I got used to these pants and it became very pleasant for me to wear them. I wore them for a walk or when I went to visit. These pants went well with light sandals or slippers worn on bare feet. It was very pleasant for me to feel my ankles exposed with every step, and it seemed to me as if I was wearing a long skirt instead of pants.
