Technically its just a sport bike... the more comfortable position might mske you think its also a tourer but it kinda isnt... and its not comparable with the 636 which is a full on supersport...
Hrmmm. Maybe the engine isn't broken in properly or something. I have a 2016 Ninja ER-6F (Ninja 650), last year of the old model, and have hit 138 mph (222kph). Yes they drop some HP on the new model but also a LOT of weight. So to struggle to get 200kph seems...strange....
yamaha has an unupdated FZ6R, ugly and much more expensive and honda has the CB500f which is worst than the ninja 400, or you can choose CB650F wich costs just as much as a ZX6R and way slower
I'm not the OP but you must buy something related to your type of riding. If your "touring" is aggressive highway riding, then you're better getting a BMW K1200S. Either way, you shouldn't have trouble finding informations around the web about the ninja 650, of any generation. This model has been pretty much the same so far.
Really thanks for your rply... Im not an aggressive rider..i heard that the seating position is changed for the new version.. i had no problem for covering 470 km in an sports bike... but this bike is really beautiful and forcing me to go with this..
Then yeah, if the sports bike were comfy enough, you'll find no trouble touring with this bike. Note that the engine isn't very exciting (I rode the ER6n to pass my license).
that can't be stock. The fastest I've seen or heard of was 135mph/209kmph speedo, so around 210kmph gps monitor. No way a stock er6f will do 245kmph. A quickshifter does not add speed, so something does not make sense here. Either you have gotten a one-of-a-kind er6f with a crazy engine, or someone have done some tuning or sprocket change..
sorry I forgotto mention about pc5 ...and also about flashing up ecu...flash ecu mean clear out factory setting inside ecu and change it setting to racing( push to the limit)..that mean er6 no longer have stock ecu..
I think the engine 650 cc with 2 cylinders should have a faster top speed than 200 km / hours ... why Kawasaki set the red line only at 10.000 rpm ? ...
It's probably got more to do with its 70hp, and the engine is built for more low end torque (which is common with 2 cylinder engines). Not every kind of engine benefits from higher revs, sometimes you simply don't have the torque to pull at the highest revs, because it's strongest in the mid range. On supersports they often feature high revving 4cyl engines which have less power in the middle, but then get their peak torque at very high rpm, so they benefit from a much higher redline. Typically you can say that hig torque engines have lower rev limit, and low torque engines have higher rev limit - simply because that's what fits the engine power curve. Putting bigger sprockets on the Ninja 650 could give it a higher top speed, but its acceleration would be worse.
Guyz, for meeting Euro 4 standars,Hp has been decreased it seems in order to reduce pollution.
With or without restrictors?
Is this a 650 or the 400 ?
This bike is sports tourer,zx 6r is complete sportbike from kawasaki.

it's 215-230 on the last version, this model 2017 says 40lbs lighter
Yeah it doesn't make any sense.. It is supposed to have the same HP but weigh 40lbs less. HP+less weight = faster.
goten259 i think it has less HP for EURO4
PixelNinja Now that u mention it that makes sense. Man that sucks.
goten259 yeah a bit, thats why the bike is much quiter than his older brother.. but i don't think it is a big deal :)
Only 200kmh? My bike zxr250 230kmh
i just hope that the 2017 version has the same top speed as the older version which is way faster.
Hrmmm. Maybe the engine isn't broken in properly or something.

what sprocket size for get more 200 ++
Just reduce the fuck out of it until you have to push the bike to get going in first gear
35 secondes pour atteindre le 200, on a connu mieux quand même !
Esta moto no es la 650 .... os esta engañando ay 2 videos iguales en youtube una pone que es la kawasaki 400 y en este 650 ..
Isnt that a ninja 400 dash?
ya the new ninja 400 uses the same dash as the 650
I hit 140 mph on my 2006 ninja 650r
cbr 650f does 267 kph
Alexthomas K it's a 4 cylinders with 90+ hp
But what update? Less 5hp, less 11 km/h top speed, without rear handlet, slower than old er6f.... The rivals Honda or Yamaha go ahead
yamaha has an unupdated FZ6R, ugly and much more expensive and honda has the CB500f which is worst than the ninja 400, or you can choose CB650F wich costs just as much as a ZX6R and way slower
that is ninja 400
A ninja 300 pega 195 ...
Ninja 400..
my er6n 2013 easily over run this 2017 ninja 650.... touched 225 n still want to go faster
only 200km/hr???
It certainly can go higher but its gearing is very low, for street use.
What about the comfort??
Im going to buy this bike for touring purpose just because i love sport tourer bikes... pls rply..

mine er6f 2014 way faster than that ...when stock(no mod yet)
now with quick shifter pc5 245km/h..

oh alright then it makes some sense if it has had an ecu flash. Well, 245kmph on a er6f sounds crazy !

why Kawasaki set the red line only at 10.000 rpm ? ...
dedi sukarno redline has got nothing to do with top speed. It's the gearing that matters
*facepalm

it all comes down to European emission requirements. All the bikes in this class are getting less power but more torque to meet the Euro requirements.
@@Silverwarhawkit has everything to do. RPM limiter limits rpm, which also limits wheelspeed, limiting topspeed
c'est un veau
hyosung gt650r is far way better then ninja 650, gtr goes more than 235kmph
Hyosung is not made in china, you dumb ass.
Más lenta que las anteriores. 👎
euro 4 kawasaki FAİL
Why ?
wtf my standard mt 07 can do better than this, standard exzhaust no modify rpm 8/9 200 kmh, can go more than 200, damm kawasaki what a waste
no different with 250cc twin cylinder top speed. I think yamaha r25/r3 can beat this bike.
Red Line is like 9k? What a garbage engine
