    I was thinking the same thing right before you said it. A rebel that just mentioned the Rebel 500 as you drive through the cones. I enjoyed the video! Safe travels!

    I agree! Your CL does look well! I was looking at the CL, but I felt so much more comfortable on the Scrambler 900! Me being a short arse as well! 29” inside leg! Be interesting if you mention your old Street Scrambler for recommendation? Cheers, Graham.

      Hi Graham, the Street Scrambler is indeed a really comfortable and accessible bike and I absolutely loved mine ( it was my previous bike too the CL ). The only reason I did not mention it specifically was that it's brother the Street Twin is even lower . As I mentioned the Bonny's are a tad heavy in general though and the CL feels way lighter .👍

    Re older bikes, Suzuki Bandits are good for shorties like me. (Avoid those that have the popular rear end jack up mod). Have had 600, 1200 and 650's. The mark 3 versions had an adjustable seat. Still have one of the last 650's and am almost flat footed. Another oldie is Kawasaki ZZR600 but hard to get a good one now.

    I am 5ft 7in, My Honda Forza 350 maxi scooter is 790mm and I tip toe on it, my Yamaha Tracer 700 is 825mm and I can almost flat foot it, this is as you say down to the width of the seat, great subject matter

    I just remembered, back in the early 90's that all the big four motorcycle manufacturers,Yamaha FZR600, Kawasaki ZZR600, Honda CBR600f2 and the Suzuki GSX600F made bikes for short riders. They came in at 780mm to as high as 805mm. Then the Yamaha R6 came out and it was game over for us shorties. Perhaps the average bike rider happens to be 5foot 10inches. I am 5foot 4inches with an inside leg length of 29 inches. So im handicapped in two areas seat height and reach to the handle bars. My current bike after my Yamaha MT-07 was stolen is a triumph trident 660

      You're right Derek bikes got taller at some point in the past 20-30 years , if you go as far back to vintage bikes they are all very low. I'm a similar size to you so know how you feel! ... Thanks for watching👍

    Nice one DJ, i have the street twin and its easy to flat foot although its quite heavy to move about, the T100 is also pretty accessible, the Guzzi V7 is another,W800, the old ZZR600 Kawasaki, bikes like the 600 fazers and bandits are okay if you have the seats modified slightly or use dog leg linkages to lower the seat hieght....

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  Год назад

      Thanks Henry , glad you agree about the Street Twin . The others seem to be a popular choice ... the ZZR I actually have a quick test video on and you are right it's surprisingly low as standard ...Thanks 👍

    Hi I have a cl 500 , found buying the brown replacement seat helped as you can move back on the seat. I have knee problems so the leg bend is important.

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  Год назад

      Hi Nigel , yes the brown seat is of course higher than the standard but if you need more room it makes sense.... Thanks for watching.

    I completely agree with you. I sat on a Yamaha MT-07 2023 model year and I was scratching my head, wondering why it felt taller than my 2017 Yamaha MT-07..and it dawned on me that it was much wider in the seat department. Granted it felt comfortable. But it was definitely felt much taller. Then I sat on a Yamaha MT-09 2023 which is taller by spec than the MT-07 but it felt shorter. Looking down on the seat, it was lot more narrower than the MT-07 😂

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  Год назад +1

      Hi Derek, yes the width is vital . I was sitting on a Suzuki GSX8S today , looks quite tall but with a very narrow seat it was perfect . I then tried a Moto Guzzi V7 , looked a much lower bike but the seat was wide and flat ....I was on tip-toe !
      Thanks for comment.

    Interesting one ! snap on the leg length my current bike is ball of the feet job which for the most part is ok although in certain conditions you can loose your footing sometimes and she's a heavy girl too so have to be a little careful .I have thrown my leg over the triumph Speed twin which is a bit like it's counter part and it was fine for me but they aren't cheap that's for sure . There are a few out there as you say and try the fit is the best way as you say 👍

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  Год назад

      Thanks Crumbly ! The Speed Twin 1200 is a similar height to the Street Twin 900 ( now called the speed twin 900! ) but you're right they are expensive . Thanks for watching👍

    I think TAYM's cone has been cloned and has spread your way🙂. The Royal Enfields are mainly low seat height. Another one is the GS-8X Suzuki. In pictures and videos it loox a bit angular but when I saw one up close it was actually quite a looker.

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  Год назад +1

      I think you're right about the cones , didn't see one with a face on though 🤔. Interesting about the GSX 8s ..it's a bike that growing on me and if I find the right one who knows . Thanks for watching.

      @@simonchilli2088 Yes I've seen the black one ...My favourite is the all blue one though ....I know it's a bit marmite but looks great in the flesh in my opinion.

    A bike I found surprising was the Ducati Multistrada 1200 again because the seat height would seem too high but it is very narrow so even with a 29" inside leg it mas manageable although not quite flat footed. I have the 1200 GS which like the cbf has an adjustable seat height and a low seat option was available but mine has the standard seat and is just about ok for me.

    • @WyreForestBiker

      Hi Mike ,interesting about the Ducati and not one I would have ever thought of ! Never looked at the BMW's either, always seemed very big to me so that's a surprise ...Thanks For watching👍

    Hi David, I suggest the V7 SPECIAL from Moto Guzzi with a seat hight of 780 mm,
    the W 800 STREET from Kawasaki with 770 mm or the G 310 R from BMW with 785 mm.
    By the way, your road construction sites are poorly secured ⛔️🚧🏍️🆑…😁

      Hi Thanks . I have ridden a V7 850 and it was ok but although low found the seat is quite wide so not one for the very short of leg ( similar to my CL) Not sat on either of the others though , Thanks for watching and your jnput 👍

      I like others only have a 28” leg and have owned or own the following, current Tiger 900 GT Pro, adjustable seat heat height. KTM 890 Duke, not flat footed but because the bike is so light and the stand over is good it’s not a worry (the 790 is the same). Previous bikes Yamaha TDM 900, SV650 mine was a 2004 model. Triumph T100 Bonneville and Speed Twin both are low but heavy as you mentioned about the Street Twin, the stand out surprise as someone else mentioned was the Ducati Multistrada 1200s, being a V twin the the SV650 it’s very narrow.
