As an old geezer, I have no doubt that the granny was a professional queue-jumper. Kudos to the gent that at least tried to put her in her place. Cruising used to be where you use your best behavior, but that seems to be in the past. It looks like the popular shows need to have reserved seating. That will require more work for the crew but it will avoid some confrontations and unpleasantness.

I was just at a show at Hard Rock Casino, Hollywood. Same thing happened. People playing in their phones. It was an older crowd. ( of which I am one ) and it was obvious they didn’t know how to put their phones on a dark background mode. Smart watches are also annoying. People kept getting alerts, the watches would light up etc.
Perhaps they should use a 'take a numbered ticket from a roll' system so there can be no argument about who is next in line to be served for whatever is in short supply 😅
Sometimes I wish I had the guts to say "you are a rude person", especially when people have completely lost all sense of manners and politeness. 🙂 I am so shocked by some people's behavior recently. I hope we can all be examples of sanity. 🙂
No atmosphere like that and the artists would not come to do a show to an empty theatre. Just stay and watch tv and not bother with a show if that's what you like. The shows to me are a big part of the cruise.
Being a “lady” of a certain age myself, the use of the word “lady” to describe that obnoxious women is a travesty. A lady has manners and would never take advantage of others in the situation which you describe. I am tired of older men and women who think that they are entitled to do the unacceptable, just because they have reached a certain age. Hope you were able to enjoy the show, Tony, in spite of its rough beginning. Loved your commentary of Iceland and Greenland! Thank you! From Elaine la profe in NJ.

I’ve seen an argument and it was also in the theater. What a pain to have to do reservations for seating but with so many people and so few seats it makes sense and would avoid having to deal with any of that. And another plus would be not having to waste 90 minutes of your time waiting in line.
Last year I sailed on MSC in the Yacht club which also comes with reserved seating for Yacht Club passengers. We arrived early and were sat by our butler in the middle of the section. Several empty seats were still available when the lights went down and no sooner had that happened then people started climbing over seats just to get to these empty seats. It’s nothing to me whether you paid for them or not but when the show was over both parties on each side of us wouldn’t let us leave. We stood up and said nicely excuse me to both sides only to be met with cold silence and no attempt to move an inch. Finally fed up with their stupidity I just charged forward stepping on feet and taking knees with me. If someone wants to leave, especially when the show is OVER maybe just shuffle your feet aside, it costs you nothing. I think they thought I should climb over seats in heels and a dress.
Agreed. That's what the line should do. However, I suspect they don't, knowing the shows are a big draw and use it to scam people into the premium internet package, which may not go over so big with the older crowd Princess tends to draw. If the shows keep having lack of seating for people to see the show then maybe they should add an additional show, since they can’t make more space for seating. Maybe have an afternoon matinee show, some people may enjoy going to an early show especially if it is appropriate for children or those who like/want an early night (got to get up early for the next port😉😉).

I think it’s awesome that you and Don are not only friends but that you cruise together. You both have great channels that are full of useful informative and entertaining. Love watching you both. Thank you for your wonderful content.
We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise recently. They have a perk called the “Key” which includes reserved seating for shows. One night my family and other Key members were seated where a cruise employee had told us to sit. A few moments later a Concierge approached us and very rudely told us all to move because his clients were arriving and we were in their seats. We explained that a Key rep had put us there and no other seats were now available. The Concierge treated us all very badly. Terrible experience. We will never cruise RC again!
@@rosanna3765 Yes, the concierge was a RC employee. We did not contact Guest Services about situation. Put the incident behind us and enjoyed rest of trip.
It’s wonderful to hear there are still gentlemen around, thank you!!! Sometimes the smallest things or comments can make someone very happy. What happened to manner and do unto others as you would want done to you?? It seems to be lost. We can change this with our actions. Reservations need to be taken so this mess doesn’t happen at all period. Also you then don’t waste time playing claim a seat. Glad the guy told the older lady because she needed to be told too bad she was too rude to even let it sink in. Sadly in my mind when they announced the seats open someone didn’t shove old lady out of the way and she got completely shoved to the back. People need to take accountability he didn’t look bad the old lady did and more need to stop being spineless letting people get by all the time with things they shouldn’t. Princess needs to fix this….make reservations.
I always love how you tell a story and I think you are always very tactful and do your best not to offend anyone but in this world, someone is bound to be offended. I realized as you were explaining your use of the word granny, that I was picturing the “granny” in the Sylvester and Tweety cartoons!😂 These stories make my husband not want to go to shows etc. These interactions always make us both uncomfortable and ruins the vibe and I also feel sorry for the cruise ship employee. Good on you for giving up your seat for that couple. That is the kindness we need in the world!
Great stories,Tony! I am glad the guy did stand up to her. I am in my 70s and I know that just because someone is getting on in years, it’s no excuse for being a sneak or just plain nasty. I am sorry she got the seat!
Easy solution to this issue is to make the Premier seats for Premier passengers only. Do not open them up 5 minutes before the show. If they remain empty, they remain empty.
That's stupid. Why leave seats open when they have customers who want them? Theaters and Broadway release choice seats that they hold back at the last minute for the same reason. All the cruise line has to do is hand out numbers to those waiting for premier seats that remain empty. First come, first served. It's not rocket science!
You are a great story teller-people are so rude and entitled! I very recently had an encounter with a very rude man- we were in line and he kind of came up and tried to be a little in front of me I am very non confrontational but I pointed out to him that there was a line- he had some rude comment but didn’t move. Then another guy in the line went over and told him there was a line - he was incredibly rude and still just stayed there Really shocking behavior fir an adult(or anyone)
Great story-telling! This makes me glad that there is a reservation system for shows on the bigger Royal Caribbean ships. I will be on Allure and Utopia soon and it will be interesting to see how that shakes out. I’ve never had an issue on any previous Royal Caribbean cruise. There have always been plenty of seats.

Omgosh- talk about spilling the tea! I'm LOL. I follow your Lego channel and this popped up. I am intrigued, actually more- entertained. Subscribed 👍
As judge Judy says, no good deed goes unpunished. Unfortunate, but true. All a cause of too many people chasing too few resources.
This was like having a pre-show production before the main event 😂
This was a great episode! You are a fantastic story teller. Smiled, laughed and felt like i was in the theater watching the events. Thanks so much 😊
Tony, you are hands down the best storyteller ever! Thanks for the extremely entertaining story!
I laughed so hard at "I feel like maybe my face has gone akimbo." 🤣 I'm gonna start using that one!
I don’t what it is but you set my Siri off every time I watch your video. The Danger Zone started playing on my apple home!! 😂
This was better than any comedy shows. Thanks for the entertainment. First time I ever laughed out loud so many times during your videos. 😂
I haven’t laughed out loud like this for months. Lol
You hadn’t moved you would’ve missed all the fireworks! Ha ha ha ha
The problems you speak about in the Auditorium is a good reason why I prefer the smaller ships these days. More expensive but worth it.
Thanks for the laugh. Children have more class than most adults.
No act of kindness ever goes unpunished.
I just came off a cruise ship and there are definitely more people that just "shoot their mouths off" unnecessarily 😅
😂😂😂😂😂 Granny is a gangster.
Big fan for the last year! Haven't laughed this hard in a long time, thank you. Keep up the hard work. Appreciate your storytelling and unvarnished truth. Love your content and twisted humor. 😂
Great post Tony ! I felt like I was there lol😂
Thank you, Tony. I never saw an argument on a cruise.
Just another example how angry this world is becoming. No respect and no decency demonstrated. Good on you for giving up your front row seat for that couple, but I can't understand why that granny was not in the line up if she had been there over 30 minutes waiting for the Premier seats.
I remember you moving from Don's seat to up to the blue seats. We were sitting close to the stairs to the ground level and you passed us by when you changed seats. I didn't know all that drama was going on! It was nice seeing you again. - Louis (the guy that sang Junior's Farm to you) D108.
Your such a good story teller .Thanks LOL
Hope you made a complaint. Was this Concierge an employee of Royal?
@@rosanna3765 Yes, the concierge was a RC employee. We did not contact Guest Services about situation. Put the incident behind us and enjoyed rest of trip.
Tony, I was waiting for your classic line “ and the seeds of chaos had been sewn”. Funny hearing it in your Blarney Stone trip video.
And where was the shout out to Ludicrous for the song mentioned? I was forced to say it myself!!
This was one of the best cruise stories I've ever heard. My wife and I were laughing through as you were sharing the details.
You should do stand up comedy! I was ROFLMAO!
Ton Loce, precisely why I avoid the shows and attend the martini bars!!
Who would have thought.... I thought Carnival is where you go for wild cruise fights and arguments.
great storytelling Tony!
You are SO GOOD at story telling!
I always love how you tell a story and I think you are always very tactful and do your best not to offend anyone but in this world, someone is bound to be offended.
I realized as you were explaining your use of the word granny, that I was picturing the “granny” in the Sylvester and Tweety cartoons!😂
These stories make my husband not want to go to shows etc. These interactions always make us both uncomfortable and ruins the vibe and I also feel sorry for the cruise ship employee.
Good on you for giving up your seat for that couple. That is the kindness we need in the world!
90 minutes before the show! That's crazy!
Great stories,Tony! I am glad the guy did stand up to her. I am in my 70s and I know that just because someone is getting on in years, it’s no excuse for being a sneak or just plain nasty. I am sorry she got the seat!
Ok--I laughed out loud and from the gut---granny won!!!😂😂😂
😂😂 @ the visual “the mob was here”
Easy solution to this issue is to make the Premier seats for Premier passengers only. Do not open them up 5 minutes before the show. If they remain empty, they remain empty.
or, have a dedicated wait line like RCL does.
Not an efficient use of a limited resource.
That's stupid. Why leave seats open when they have customers who want them? Theaters and Broadway release choice seats that they hold back at the last minute for the same reason. All the cruise line has to do is hand out numbers to those waiting for premier seats that remain empty. First come, first served. It's not rocket science!
I love your stories! I wish I had popcorn while I was listening! 🤣
You are a great story teller-people are so rude and entitled!
I very recently had an encounter with a very rude man- we were in line and he kind of came up and tried to be a little in front of me
I am very non confrontational but I pointed out to him that there was a line- he had some rude comment but didn’t move. Then another guy in the line went over and told him there was a line - he was incredibly rude and still just stayed there
Really shocking behavior fir an adult(or anyone)
Great story-telling! This makes me glad that there is a reservation system for shows on the bigger Royal Caribbean ships. I will be on Allure and Utopia soon and it will be interesting to see how that shakes out. I’ve never had an issue on any previous Royal Caribbean cruise. There have always been plenty of seats.
