After an hour of analyzing and since you revealed your extra deck @ 1:39:25 . I should really read carefully, I'm such a Yu-Gi-Oh player lol. Anyways I'll leave the above in case someone else reading was curious of the "why".
@@ghaedoone issue I could see would be competing for normal summons going first, or when going 2nd vs. non-extra deck monsters. Would be worth trying a bit to see how it goes, maybe?
Drolls. The package dies to it, make all normal summon fizzled. It's not a good time to play it, but the couple next meta all have Drolls so....whatever
Nice to see that ur back to uploading man. :) I myself have quit masterduel when tearlaments rolled out cuz it was not that fun to play anymore but seeing you upload made me want to get back to the game? Say is the meta right now more fun than it was during tear 0?
Yeah meta is more healthy than Tearlaments format but that's because Tearlaments was cancer so that's a low bar. Although it was annoying and obnoxious, it was still not bad of a climb through rank if you were playing the right Labrynth build.
Oh, huh that's weird, I think it was a glitch in the recording software. Anyway, the reason sphere mode goes away is because Traptrip garden banishes it to revive Sera from the GY.
To stop the opponent from using the graveyard essentially. Exosister whilst having the ability to like xyz off of moved things out of the graveyard don’t heavily rely on that fact to make their xyz monsters. They can just hard make an xyz with martha’s special summon and be fine or multiple other ways that i don’t feel like typing out.
check the latest dkayed tournament in masterduel meta. a non furniture lab took it to the grand finals (first appearance of the variant in like a million years, it's really that unpoplar).
The best time it to do it on end phase after your opponent ends their turn and can't respond to the Lord summon, the set from deck, and can't play stuff like Feather Duster to clear your back row. If you are unable to wait until End Phase, you can do it in the Battle Phase IF they have enough monsters to attack for game. If they don't have the damage, don't summon Lord because it might allow them to use Triple Tactics Thrust which is an insane card and can search Feather Duster. Sometimes if you don't have the luxury of choosing the phase you summon Lord because you don't have enough/the right backrow, then you just gotta do it on your last trap you're flipping on the turn.
To be fair for the branded deck around an hour and 9 minites, they play a lot of shit cards like High Spirits becaise Branded Fusion is at one, so they need consistency
Genuinely curious, I can see your reasoning and why you don't like furnitures and all, but every lab deck that performs well in the tcg isn't using this version of the deck (trap heavy). Why do you think that is? Welcome back btw, hopefully you'll stick around 😁
Well, I will say that at the moment, playing furniture is actually better in the TCG and OCG, but that's mainly because of the new card that got released in both those formats that is not yet in master duel. That card is called "Transaction Rollback" go read up on it to see what it does and you'll see why it's insanely broken and why it basically makes playing furniture mandatory. As soon as that card releases on Master Duel I'll be running furniture 100%. At the current state of Master Duel, I don't see the advantage of running Furniture over running trap cards like Torrential Tribute, Solemn Strike, and other cards that I think are just better. I also have yet to lose a single mirror matchup to any Lab player that runs Furniture or heavy amounts of hand traps. As for competitive yugioh IRL, one of the biggest downsides of trap-heavy Labrynth is that duels take longer and are more of a grind, and you can more easily lose games on time because time rules in the physical card game are fucking stupid. Also cards like Solemn Strike or Solemn Judgment which make you pay lifepoints are terrible for this reason. Back when I was playing the TCG, I was consistently topping locals, usually top 1-2 but occasionally top 3-4. A LOT of the matches I would lose would be on game 3 due to time. Furniture Labrynth, or Labrynth with more hand traps that is a more combo-variant of the deck is faster (take less time) and less susceptible to this issue. From a thematic perspective, I fundamentally disagree with the concept of a trap card themed deck building and playing as a combo deck. If I/you want to play a combo deck, go play something else because there are better alternatives lol.
@@g07h4xf00 yeah that's fair! Plus master duel is a best of one format meaning no side deck so it's unlikely for people to run back row hate. Also maxx c is legal and the trap version plays much better to it compared to the furniture version. Yeah that trap is insane lol
Uhhh unfortunately Witch's Strike does nothing against decks like Branded Bystial (the most common), Labrynth mirror matchups, Mathmech, Vanquish Soul, etc. It can be good vs SHS and Swordsoul but unfortunately I've seen way more Branded Bystial than than those other decks that you can Witch's Strike that I don't think it would be worth it.
Isn't Droll just better against both SHS and Mannadium? I would think the best hand traps vs SHS and Mannadium would be Droll, Nibiru, D Shifter. D Shifter also very good against Branded.
13:12 this guys furniture build is complete ass tho. It would be less cringe if he had more lord and lady. And no fucking ghost belle and harpies like wtf 🤣
Quick random shower thought, why do you consider the furniture version inferior to the trap focused version? Also, how hellish was your grind through plat? And another thing, why is there a random numeron dragon? Yugioh players on their way to tech the most random non-synergystic/easy tech to try winning. Nvm,I don't think a single copy of lady/welcome help your grind game. Okay, I want to bleach my eyes, he doesn't deserve being a lab user, too many pressing buttons because yes, instead of slowly gainining advantage to outgrind your opponent

Sphere Mode. Also you can break boards going second if your traps are strong enough (torrential, solemn strike, d barrier, gozen/skill drain/rivalry, etc)
So many bad takes just to sound edgy. You overvalue raw mathematical advantage instead of board states. VS Lab - Shotgun Maxx is for Kash and Talents, although somewhat debatable it's at least understandable. - Crossout is there for the minigame, while Arianna is THE BEST opening play that SEARCHES THE ENTIRE DECK running 1-2 is just so outdated (it was always bad, just 1 capable player topped due to his skill but even he later thought this was a mistake). - That duel was literally a demonstration of why Furnitures outclass the stun variant in every way in the mirror, while the "inferior" furniture build consistently outperforms the stun variant in all 3 games (TCG/OCG/MD). - Your build loses to the best-performing deck (Branded) and prays they open Strike/Barrier/Drain/Ball going second against SHS since they can negate everything you throw at them OR just always go first. That's why it has 1/13 tops compared to furniture (12/13) in MDM. - You faced a bot that could easily summon Chandle or Clock and pop it with Welcome on the initial IDP misplay and they would have out-resource you instead of losing both 1off Ladies. They forgot Clock and Chandle exist for the entire game. - You EEVed Traps instead of Spells that would immediately kill their followup (Labyrinth), insulate you from HFD (everyone plays it in Bo1) and CBTG (since you saw Crossout they respect the minigame), but even EEV was a mistake here since you had NO ENGINE in the first place (just Prosp in hand that could dig out Drain/Strike etc instead) and W/Big-W would have allowed you with turn player priority to establish Lady first and win from that point much faster and safer since their IDP was already used and Lovely was banished. I could give you examples for all those matches with actual points instead of "this sucks, this bad, this good".
He's been a loud elitist about the stun variant even before the furniture build got popular, so I don't think he's comfortable with acknowledging that ikea lab has its advantages. Ryan Yu and Din Kha-Bui are among the best players in the world and they're both furniture enjoyers. Although they do run more stun-like variants when the format calls for it
@@kashira-0 I don't mind preference, especially when it's very different from mine so I can see different points of view, but this became just an annoying rant without purpose or value, "justified" by button pressers (low quality duels)
-Talents got power crept by Triple Tactics Thrust which doesn't care what phase you use monster effects in, so Maxx C enables Thrust more if you shotgun it. And if they NEED Thrust to begin their combo then it's instantly live. I would argue there's no reason to run 3x Talents anymore and many reasons to run 3x Thrust. -What minigame are you referring to? I assume the handtrap maxx C/Ash minigame? It just seems like Crossout Designator to prevent an Ash on a Welcome would be better served as a Solemn Strike or literally any other better card to Crossout (there are many). Running 3x Arianna is the least egregious ratio of Lab cards. But the problem with 3 is that you're much more likely to open 2 in your hand, and if it gets Ashed or Impermed then you're effectively down two cards. You can minimize Arianna getting negated by relying on it less. Also there are many ways of getting to your Welcome cards so with 1 or 2 Arianna you never really go a duel or game without having engine. When I used to run 1 Arianna I saw engine every single game and it was fine. -What duel are you referring to? I win every Labrynth mirror matchup so you'll have to be more specific into what you're referring to. Also, in the mirror matchup, the field spell is one of the more important cards. -Can you explain why furniture labrynth beats Branded but mine does not? I clearly do beat Branded quite often so I'm curious to hear your explanation as to what's so special about Furniture Labrynth that makes it beat Branded? Setting Welcome cards from deck is enough to beat Branded? What are you talking about with regards to SHS? And can you explain why a Solemn Strike, which is a counter trap card that cannot be negated (that also negates and destroys one of their boss monsters), is worse than Stovie vs a full SHS board? What are the advantages of having a Stovie or Chandraglier going second vs SHS? You make statements without actually explaining "why". -Most yugioh players are bots, tbh. But yes, they hugely misplayed by letting IDP banish both their boss monsters when they didn't need to lol. They also hugely misplayed by not having 2 Ladys in their deck LMAO. -You use the term "mini game" again without explaining what minigame it is. If you're referring to the Ash/Maxx C minigame, then Labyrnth has absolutely no reason to respect that since both cards are bad vs Labrynth. Well, Ash should be bad vs Labrynth if you build properly and don't put all your eggs into the "my only trap cards are Welcome/Big Welcome" theory of Labrynth deckbuilding (which an alarming number of players adhere to). -With regards to whatever misplays I made that you're referring to, yes fine I misplayed. I also pointed out that I misplayed and that I have been misplaying. I haven't played this game in a long time so I've been misplaying a lot more than last year. Yet I still win very consistently.
@@kashira-0 It's not stun variant, it's trap variant. When less than 1/8 of the deck is floodgates, you can't call it a stun variant. Otherwise, any deck that ran/runs Scythe/VFD/Abyss Dweller/Bagooska/etc you must refer to as "stun" which is a clear misnomer.
@@g07h4xf00 - Thrust into Talents is VERY common, at least that way Talents still cannot activate. - Minigame is Maxx C / Ash / CBTG / Crossout that are on every list at max legal copies. CBTG and Crossout can be really good to counter Ash that hurts ANY version of Lab, Maxx C makes them even more useful. Your argument about Solemn Strike works only going first, while Crossout can get additional value by pushing through stuff going second. Even for Duster that is a common 1 off in every list due to Best Of 1 format. - In TCG with 3 Arianna, 3 Stovie, 3 Chand, 3 Welcome, 3 Big, 3 Prosp i have encountered matchups where i saw no engine. While both of us offer anecdotal evidence at this point, there is statistically NO WAY you always see engine with 1 Prosp + 1/2 Arianna + 2 Welcomes + 3 Big + 0 furnitures. Even if i'm generous and also calculate Thrust AND Lord as engine (even if delayed) - I assumed it was very clear where i referred to the 1st Lab match, since you title it as "inferior cringe furniture lab". I know how important the field spell is, that's why EEV for spells was the right move (although EEV was the incorrect move and either Welcome would have been better) - Branded in Red into Chimera during the end phase is incredibly rough and forces you to "draw lord or lose", while King works exceptionally well against continuous floodgates. Meanwhile Furniture builds aren't so dependent on backrow so Chimera isn't as impactful, run Ash Blossom (that you don't), and due to the higher engine count have more ways to end on a searched D-Barrier which will loop Branded out of the game. Are these reasons enough? Let's add the Ishizu shufflers to the mix as well. - About SHS, Strike is indeed a powerful card, when you go FIRST. You are playing a game of "draw the out" with SHS and unless you open a combination of Skill Drain + Strike + Gozen/Rivalry/Torrential (these 3 as potential removal) you immediately scoop, while on the other hand Furniture Lab runs handtraps and pseudo 0-turn combos that raise your potential of limiting their end board. You stay silently watching them build an unbreakable board, without even Super Poly, and you scoop if you didn't draw Balls or something like the above by depending on LIMITED CARDS. - About the first Lab match, it wasn't only the IDP misplay. If you reconstruct both players hands and play them optimally from their side (with no post-game knowledge) you hand no business seeing turn 6. On your End Phase (turn 2), Welcome gets Lady out, Big gets Lovely, you lose Lord in hand, they set EEV (to wipe you) OR welcome for better followup then turn 3 they either force EEV on you tributing Lovely (Lady is less fragile in the mirror + generates advantage + can be bounced and resummoned to dodge IDP) and you immediately lose, or they go for BP to force a potential Big Welcome (IDP is dead, Big W will bounce since there is no body, Punishment can be dodged) and Welcome will drop Chandle/Stovie to the field, while Arianna (top deck) gets a Clock so the deck becomes 2x faster than yours. It will lose to TT but Arianna can be bounced if you want (you can even make TT lose timing but we don't know it's there) triggering your previous welcome while Lady doesn't care and will set something as well, or since this is the extra careful approach you just lose Arianna + Lovely and stay on Lady control with Big-W ready to counter Punishment and IDP. Stovie gives you Labyrinth anyway so you are facing Lady (that at least on turn 3 would have set EEV) + Labyrinth + Stovie/Clock turning anything live immediately + set Welcome and depending on you Big W in GY. - I'm sorry about the "minigame", i thought it's common knowledge by now. Ash is good vs Lab, even against your stun version because a flipped Skill drain won't make your opponent's LP 0. I could argue that thankfully Lab players finally woke up and abandoned the put all your eggs into the "omg Duster against my set 5 pass ragequit" basket and now the deck can actually have some wins apart from the random "we weren't preparing for backrow" one timers in smaller events then no top for the next 3 consecutive events.
All Lab players I played against in Masters are using Branded Fusion. I dunno why but Master Duel players are so cringe. And they all copy each other. Creativity in MD has gone down the drain.

Post edit: just noticed you asked for an opinion and not a why... I should really read carefully, I'm such a Yu-Gi-Oh player lol. Anyways I'll leave the above in case someone else reading was curious of the "why".
@@ghaedo lol no problem. Then you make me think of another question, is nadir servant package better than the pots ?
@@ghaedoone issue I could see would be competing for normal summons going first, or when going 2nd vs. non-extra deck monsters. Would be worth trying a bit to see how it goes, maybe?
Drolls. The package dies to it, make all normal summon fizzled. It's not a good time to play it, but the couple next meta all have Drolls so....whatever
THE KING IS BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Nice to see that ur back to uploading man. :) I myself have quit masterduel when tearlaments rolled out cuz it was not that fun to play anymore but seeing you upload made me want to get back to the game? Say is the meta right now more fun than it was during tear 0?
Yeah meta is more healthy than Tearlaments format but that's because Tearlaments was cancer so that's a low bar. Although it was annoying and obnoxious, it was still not bad of a climb through rank if you were playing the right Labrynth build.
my man is back, did you make change on your deck or is it same as last deck profile video?
Yes I made changes lol my last deck list literally didn't have Ladys or Big Welcomes because it didn't exist back then.
Welcome back, Matt!!! Looking forward to more videos from you!!!
Its underwhelming
What do you think about cards like lava golem, evenly , droll, shifter. Are those cards viable?😅 . I keep having trouble going second
Yes they're all great.
At 46:32 when you sphere mode on traptrix, is video getting cut there? Because it suddenly the sphere mode is gone and your opponent summon ash.
Oh, huh that's weird, I think it was a glitch in the recording software. Anyway, the reason sphere mode goes away is because Traptrip garden banishes it to revive Sera from the GY.
26:30 What is the point of running Necro Valley on a Exosister deck??
To stop the opponent from using the graveyard essentially. Exosister whilst having the ability to like xyz off of moved things out of the graveyard don’t heavily rely on that fact to make their xyz monsters. They can just hard make an xyz with martha’s special summon and be fine or multiple other ways that i don’t feel like typing out.
Necrovalley is insane and kills most other decks while doing nothing to Exosister.
thoughts on dinomorphia/z-arc in labrynth?
Not a fan of mixing archetypes like that.
Hey, coming back here and there is totally fine than you just being gone also deck list
Thanks for your vidéo !!! Can you share your decklist please ?!!!

If you sphere mode while rivalry is up, it's possible that the sphere will return to your side and kock you into divine beast
Yes, if you don't control any face up monster.
But if you control a face up non divine type then, it will send sphere to GY when it return.
@@xionvlash yup, but it's always a risk. I've had situations where my opponent removed all my monsters so I was locked into divine

Decklist
So i have a question when is the best moment to summon lord after a trap activation?
@@g07h4xf00 ohh ok gotcha thnx a lot

To be fair for the branded deck around an hour and 9 minites, they play a lot of shit cards like High Spirits becaise Branded Fusion is at one, so they need consistency
Please teach us peasants how to play a trapdeck, much love bro
Yeah that trap is insane lol
my favorite deck to hate cry in the sight of red reebot wiafu players 🚫
58:44 Facts.
Would You Consider Playing Wannabee In Lab ? It Seems Like A Crazy Card For Trap Decks
I might, only issue is that going second Wannabee is usually dead if they set up even a single monster negate. But I'll try it out.
most toxic deck right now, turn zero, big atk/def, recycle gy, play from hand and many many MOREEEEEEEE distruption!!!!!!
Let’s gooooooo deck list please
Why you re not using any handtrap cheff?
Why would I use hand traps
@@g07h4xf00 I see,..my last question is, what do u think about adding wannabee?
@@ibaadulhaq5282 I might, it's a solid card. Just kinda meh going second if your opponent sets up any monster negate.
is witches strike viable nowadays everyone and their mother ends on baronne😂
Uhhh unfortunately Witch's Strike does nothing against decks like Branded Bystial (the most common), Labrynth mirror matchups, Mathmech, Vanquish Soul, etc. It can be good vs SHS and Swordsoul but unfortunately I've seen way more Branded Bystial than than those other decks that you can Witch's Strike that I don't think it would be worth it.
“I guess this dude really love lolis” lmao
Also, suprised you don’t run a Terrors of the Overoot… Great card, just 1 is good 👍
I’ve heard ghost ogre is better than what people give it credit for, pops the manadium field spell for one
Okay, I want to bleach my eyes, he doesn't deserve being a lab user, too many pressing buttons because yes, instead of slowly gainining advantage to outgrind your opponent

no decklist no likes :v
So many bad takes just to sound edgy. You overvalue raw mathematical advantage instead of board states.
VS Lab
- Shotgun Maxx is for Kash and Talents, although somewhat debatable it's at least understandable.
Even if i'm generous and also calculate Thrust AND Lord as engine (even if delayed)
- I assumed it was very clear where i referred to the 1st Lab match, since you title it as "inferior cringe furniture lab". I know how important the field spell is, that's why EEV for spells was the right move (although EEV was the incorrect move and either Welcome would have been better)
- Branded in Red into Chimera during the end phase is incredibly rough and forces you to "draw lord or lose", while King works exceptionally well against continuous floodgates.
