He has such a sense of humor. Some of the stuff he plays, in a sense, is a form of his humor. He just has such an abandon when he plays. He pushes the boarders of sanity to create insane interludes that are amazing. He kind of reminds me of that group that did the song Spaghetti Western, the only thing; he is like the craziness of the whole group rapped up in one person. But, hey, that's alright, whatever he plays is amazing.
I've been playing drums for 56 years and discovered Greg around a month ago. I've always been a Jeff Beck fan but Greg had such an effect on me I went out yesterday and bought a Telecaster. The problem is I'm 63 so I don't know how much I'll learn but what the hell!
It's amazing what an accomplished player can do on a simple guitar with a simple amplifier. People keep trying to BUY that but you can't. You must practice. By the way, it's been two years, how are you doing with the Telecaster?
ALWAYS ON FIRE, and ALWAYS a SCREAM!! Luv Love LOVE this guy!!! Thanks Greg!! Shades of 'Sky King' Danny G!!! He is just Amazing to watch and listen to.....
Thank God for people like this Cat.... If I would have had a History lesson like this in school...I would have stayed focused..instead of drifting away
Listening to Greg on guitar is the equivalent listening experience of Neil Peart drumming ....twists your your brain like a pretzel . Goes to places you never think of. Listening to Greg keeps players sharp.I mean after watching, who went and grabbed TV wit guitar?
Nice show:lot's of playing and tips. Greg mentions that much of what he does is the product of years of practice which although a bit of a "no brainer" tends to elude more folks than you'd suspect.Of course it also helps to have a good brain to aid in retaining all the stuff you learn and (perhaps even more importantly) in putting it to good use. Passion and creativity? that's your cue fellas.
Gregg is so right on target- in so many ways it is boundlessly true . It’s so easy that we fall into our comfort zone riffs and have a decent bag of tricks couple of Killer riffs and techniques ready to go -Shame on all of the brilliance in stall mode or limbo for lack of effort doing home work. you want results My Late great Dad -Freddy Collman London jazz stressed you will get what effort you put into practice. Thanks Gregg❤️
I seen Greg many times he is a fine player, also check out Brent Mason of Nashville one of the greatest players to date,a session player par excellence.
GRANDE GREG!!!! Scoperto da poco ma un fantastico vero virtuoso....dita chitarra e amplificatore senza troppe stronzate esagerate come Steve Vai....che mi ha nauseato da un bel po....
LOL. I've played guitar for almost thirty years. WTH is even going on at 42:42? I mean i understand he's hybrid picking between some different diminished intervals and then the delay repeats are filling in notes on both the high and low parts, but seriously.. What? Absolute Madness.
The MANSQUATCH has that effect on guitarists. I walk into walls and fall down when I see him play at Summerfest. (Oh wait, that was from marinating in beer all day)😁😁😁
I wonder if the color of his shirt came first or was it the guitar? Just saying he is radical, always entertaining and just a crazy guy with mad guitar skills.
WoW He's great! Anyone knows what is the pedal he uses for moving from boost to overdrive? He says "triple gristle".....but I can't find nothing on the "gristle's" website that looks like the one is using. Thank you!

Thank you Greg for taking the time to visit our planet.
This guy is not only one of the most incredible players to watch- he is the funniest guitarist I have ever seen.
He has such a sense of humor. Some of the stuff he plays, in a sense, is a form of his humor. He just has such an abandon when he plays. He is honestly is a true inspiration, check out some Steve Lukather interviews he’s also pretty funny!

I'm 62, and just discovered him 5 days ago. It's the interesting thing I've seen going on with guitar in a long time.
yary gork Go for it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
It's amazing what an accomplished player can do on a simple guitar with a simple amplifier. People keep trying to BUY that but you can't. You must practice. By the way, it's been two years, how are you doing with the Telecaster?
I just discovered this guy as well (50) and it's soothing to know that I'll also never play like this.
One the best guitarist out here that's not known to the masses.
really great crowd too.You can tell that they really dig the amazing talent that is Gregory Kochery Gingleheimer Schmidt.
An encyclopedia of guitar riffs, chords, ideas, effects. Massive technique and tone. And fun too~!
Spyder Logan i agree! A Human encyclopedia so we can study and grab him wonderfoul licks and ideas!
There are amazing guitarists out there in the big world - and then, there is Greg. He is just from another planet :-)
One of the absolute funniest and most talented human beings on the planet.
best guitar clinic I've ever seen.

Watching guitarists like greg is both inspiring and demotivating at the same time. Regardless, I love this guy!
On another level. Top bloke.
There are some amazing players around these days but I honestly think Greg is the best I’ve ever seen.
Greg is an insane guitarrrero. Most important is the fact that he does not show off. Just teaching in his own way. Love it

Love U man!
This is like ten years of lessons in 30 minutes in fast forward.
Love me some Greg Koch.
His comping skills are second to none...NONE, I tell you!!
This guy is LEGEND
Perhaps the most musically playful picker out there. Always pure joy coming out of his amp.

Captivating...made my day...great tone and humour...great enthusiasm ..
Only 57 likes?! This should have like 57K!
Dude, it's like 5 days old. Rome wasn't won in a day.

There aren't many guitarists, alive or dead, as good as Greg Koch. I bet Fender were pleased!!
He’s worked as a Fender rep for 20 some odd years moron...
this guy is great! Wish i could get a couple hour lesson from him..
Gregg is so right on target- in so many ways it is boundlessly true . Love it. I’d buy one.
Just saw him at winter namm great player

Amazing musician…so cool….
When's that new 3-in-1 Gristle King pedal coming out? Digging it, want to use it with my Gristle Tone pickups!
LOL. I've played guitar for almost thirty years. WTH is even going on at 42:42? I mean i understand he's hybrid picking between some different diminished intervals and then the delay repeats are filling in notes on both the high and low parts, but seriously.. What? Absolute Madness.
Greg, looking great.. lost a bunch of weight! Still playing guitar like a mad man! He really is a crazy good player.
Probably the best working guitar player in the world right now. What he doesn't know how to play isn't worth knowing.
Greg Koch makes me proud to be from Wisconsin
You are stuttering :-)
The MANSQUATCH has that effect on guitarists. I walk into walls and fall down when I see him play at Summerfest. (Oh wait, that was from marinating in beer all day)😁😁😁
Suggestion to Copenhagen Guitar Show staff. Get the speaker a wireless headset mic. That mic stand blocks everything.
Check out guitar Greg, he knows all the chords
I wonder if the color of his shirt came first or was it the guitar? Just saying he is radical, always entertaining and just a crazy guy with mad guitar skills.
Greg Is The Mang!
A couple o' minutes and I'm already ready to burn my Strats in the fireplace...
If I buy that same rig, will I be able to play like him?😂
Heck of a geetar player, there!
Keep pickin' and'a grinnin', Greg!
Rules!!!!
Greg is a monster, I'll be stealing some of that..... :-)
Viking Guitarist you better do!
Best 52 minutes I’ve spent in a while... yah, I know, that’s sorta sad.
But really, this is fucking entertaining.
Didn’t catch the name of that green 3-1 pedal...does anyone know it?
Greg has trimmed down!
Anthony C mall walking. It’s a young mans game now
WoW He's great! Anyone knows what is the pedal he uses for moving from boost to overdrive? He says "triple gristle".....but I can't find nothing on the "gristle's" website that looks like the one is using. Thank you!
don diego i think its made by fishman...
Up with gristle
I can definitely work that hat as well as Greg..
Does anyone know the exact like stern song?
Just when I thought I was getting to be half decent at playing only to be put back into my place. I can't play for shit.
Said perfect, it sure humbles you. :)
It's a journey....not a destination
Yep, me too!
@@craigmaddenmusic3408 It's a LONG fucking journey!

Opens the clinic with like 8 mins of straight up playing his ass off.
He's a wizard! But a funny one
“You put the time in”.
He’s not joking there.
Will his hat someday morph into part of his head, like Billy Gibbons stubble hat?
Uh. . . wow!
Filmed on potato, Greg is still the best!
Huh? This is in HD.
Monty Cantsin
That jerky mess is not hd bruh.
looks like 720 at 18fps

Greg _could_ make a potato sound great.
Is that a Super Sonic 22 he's abusing?
