I recently retired as an aerospace engineer after 40 years. I tested both the LR-87 (first stage) and LR-91 (second stage) rocket engines for the Titan II and IV SLVs at Aerojet's Sacramento facility (G-Area) in the late 1980s.
I also worked in the clean room where the Gemini capsules were originally built (at McDonnell Douglas in St Louis). At that time, in the early 1990s, we were using the old clean room to build and test the Aft Propulsion System for Space Shuttle Orbiter Endeavour.
When I was 4 or 5 years old, my grandmother had me watch a Gemini/Titan II launch on her black and white TV set in St Louis and I've been an aerospace junky ever since. Loved the realism of the model, how you built/painted it, and the quality of the video. Thanks for bringing back some very pleasant memories for me!!

This is sooooo great. I was hoping you'd show an actual build of a scale machine. Well done and make more!!! 🙂 Can't wait to see it FLY! -Dan

Stunning finish! Congratulations! If it flies half as good as it looks, you should be pleased. One small thing I liked was how you measured your glue stick with wrapping masking tape around the stick when gluing in the engine thrust rings. Simple and effective. I’ll try that method next time. Thanks for showing the build and congrats again on such a beautiful model!

Thanks man. Yeah that's an old technique I picked up long ago. I'm gonna launch this thing.

This was a great video. It was nice to see the build. Cant wait to see if fly. I hope you explain the CG issue - as you said you were going to check it - and when you do - what will you do??? Also the CA glue you used some plastic like applicator - super toothpick looking thing - what is that? Where do you get those? Are you going to clear coat??? The “wrap” was that a decal or is that paper???

Nice. Double check those tube lengths. I stumbled on the body wrap. Which should've been a piece of cake for me. But I still made it work. Good luck, you got it! 🚀

Wow. I think I found the kit to redeem my failed GT2 as a kid. Was eying some 3D pieces on eBay to match the old Estes GT with the 2 engine cluster - not as good and gonna be costly
    AWESOME BUILD -
This kit and the Mars Lander will almost complete my bucket list. (Still some old Centuri Kits I want.
Thanks Keith great job. Now let’s get it launched. 😏.

They nice. Hopefully this one flys well. My Saturn 1 SA-5. Has issues it. I added some detailing for a more scale look. But it's weird and unstable after about 80 ft or so.

Looks really nice!! Can't wait to see it launch! It's great to see how you pay attention to detail. I am curious why you converted mm to inches. You don't have a ruler with millimeters on it? Also, why super glue when gluing plastic to plastic vs. using plastic cement? What kind of plastic did they use for the 3D printed parts?

No I need a mm ruler. Mine metal one are AD agency ruler. I just use what I have sitting in front of my for the most part. I don't know what the 3D plastics are. Thanks for watching. Launch coming soon🚀📐
