I feel like BaiHeng's death was the catalyst of the Quintent breaking up .. like all 4 of them probably loved her so much that when she died, they all tried their best to make sure she's alive again but now .. one was banished and two are mara struck

Dan Feng tried to use his own Vidhaydara Ritual along with Abundance's Emanator's flesh to bring her back, but it failed and created the Abomination Dragon, also made Yingxing a long-life species... Jingliu came to help Dan Feng to destroy the Abomination Dragon, but after learning that the Dragon was the result of failed revival of Baiheng, she succumb to Mara...
Dan Heng = formerly Dan Feng who committed the crime of reviving someone using the abundance = became an incomplete existence & forever hated by most of his homeland
Blade = formerly Yingxing, a short-life species who assisted Dan Feng of his crime = got cursed with immortality & everlasting pain
Jingliu = former blade master of the Xianzhou who became mara struck and caused chaos because of it = became the thing she swore to destroy & is ridden with guilt for her crime
Jingyuan = former student of Jingliu who faced his mara-stricken master, reluctantly condemned 3 of his friends as criminals = lost all his dearest friends
Bailu = formerly Baiheng, dearest friend who sacrificed herself for her home = got her sacrifice defiled by Dan Feng's crime, got revived with no memory of her friends & burdened with the Vidyadhara

I guess it settle the arguments of the peoples who thought/believed the current Blade can defeat Jingliu... But this cutscene clearly showed that he is no match for her... Jingliu is damn strong...

I think Blade will get a power boost, he hasn't released his mara yet, they also didn't tell us about his curse due to abundance and shuhu
