8:26 this shot of Jing Yuan made me cry. You can tell that he wants everything to go back to like they were, he wants his friends to return but the people he knew dont exist anymore. He killed Dan Feng with his own words, he ended Jingliu with his spear, he saw Yingxing turn into a mindless killer and he watched Baiheng turn into an Abomination. And he could do nothing about it.
i love the difference of jing yuan who almost looked like he knew he should watch but couldnt help but look away, and dan heng who turns away desiring to turn against his fate
and he was the one who had to clean up their mess, it's such a miracle he didn't get mara struck even with all the sht he has witnessed, I will always admire his mental strength and his capability of withholding to negativity, this is why he is a great general, maybe because his path following the erudition gave him that mental strength

after doing this, I just realized that Blade just really wants to be reunited with Dan Feng and Baiheng .. at first I thought that he had a bitter quarrel with Jing Liu but i guess not? he really wants her to kill him but she can't .. she really doesn't want to wound him again and will try to take down the Abundance to see if that frees Blade from his torment

His character story revealed that he was conditioned by Jingliu (via killing him over and over), so we don’t actually know how much of his thoughts are just a reflection of Jingliu’s “teachings”. Plus, he got Mara-struck and then amnesia-ed because of the torture he had to endure from Jingliu. We don’t even know if he’s remembering things right. As for the immortal thing, we’re still in the theory phase that Dan Feng did it (though it is likely). Even though Blade hates Dan Feng, he does hope to eventually reconcile. This is revealed in the description for The Passerby's Roaming Dragon Bracer relic.
Okay let me get this straight Jing Yuan saw his own master and all his friends basically go corrupt. Dan Feng committed a sin in an attempt to revive Baiheng (i think?), and was forcefully reincarnated as Dan Heng Blade assisted Dan Feng (or IL Idfk) in the revival, thus resulting in his immortality, and “death” by Jingliu, before becoming mara-struck Jing Liu became mara-struck, resulting in being murdered by Jing Yuan. And Bailu is Baiheng but reincarnated godfamn this group is depressed
If it's any consolation, Jingliu isn't dead. She managed to survive and wandered the stars before returning to the Laofu to essentially face the music. But yeah, you're pretty much right. It's also worth noting that Dan Feng was also imprisoned, where he was tortured. He also had his horns and scales forcibly torn from his body. When he was reborn, he mostly lost his memories, but they still remain, as somewhat of a fuzzy haze. Dan Heng sort of remembers some events, but not always in great detail. Also, Bailu isn't the reincarnation of Baiheng. Bailu was specifically chosen by Dan Feng to be his successor in the ritual, but the ritual failed and his power was split between Dan Heng and Bailu. As a result of what Dan Feng did, Jingliu kinda hates him. She still sort of sees him as her old friend, but she also very clearly resents him as she wants his sins to continue to haunt him. As for Yingxing/Blade, the flesh of Shuhu (the creature they fought that caused Baiheng's death) was used in the attempt to revive her, but his involvement caused the revival to backfire, turning him immortal. I like the minor metaphor here at 3:04. Blade, Jingliu, and Dan Heng all stand very close to each other- the three who must pay a price. Jingyuan is much farther away, knowing them only long ago, people whom they no longer are.
i feel so sorry for blade: he got the worst destiny obviously: being trapped in immortality with mara hunting him forever. i hope he finds peace on one way or another. The most tragic thing is that none of these sinners had a bad intention. They just wanted to save a friend.

The quintet story is so good. It was interesting to learn that relationship between Blade and Jingliu was rather complicated, that she did not just abuse him for no reason like I thought before. And as much as I love Blade and I want all the best for him, I dont think I would be sad if he died. Like sure, in a way I would be because I love him but he deserves peace. This is what he wants. Everyone here did a great job voice acting, especially Blade and Jinglius VAs. I love Jingliu voice so much.
FYI, the VAs for Jingliu and Blade, respectively, are AMALEE(who's also the virtual youtuber Monarch), and Daman Mills(who also plays Lyney in "Genshin Impact")...
What I like about this is Yanquing basically looking at his Master's old friends and wondering if they will be like that, or worse when the time comes.
I just hope Yanqing can be understand General Jing Yuan's past with his three old friends who have now gone their separate ways. Like Jingliu surrendering himself to be captured, Blade who has now joined the Stellaron Hunter to fulfill Elio's orders, so that Elio can find a way to make Blade die peacefully and the last one is Dan Heng who is his reincarnation of Dan Feng has now decided to continue his journey as the Astral Express Crew. So that Yanqing can understand that as time goes by, Yanqing will definitely suffer the same fate as them, when he grow up like General Jingyuan
It's amazing how he's the only one who managed to remain sane after everything that's happening, be it as a general or as an individual. The friends he once knew don't exist anymore, even if they're actual in front of him now. And knowing that he's really old in Loufu standards, it's no wonder he wanted to test Fu Xuan first during the stellaron crisis so that he knows that he's choosing the right person as next general. And from the short animated film, it can be implied that Jing probably trained Yanqing in preparation if one day he succumb to Mara.

I feel so bad for Jing Yuan because he's the only sane or normal remaining member who's pretty much the same self as he was when he was close friends with them. But for other members, they have all either forgotten, moved on or gone insane so their memories of the group's time together won't affect them in the same way maybe. But for Jing Yuan, since he's still the same, he must remember a lot of their memories together so to see all his friends the way they are now as compared to how it used to be.....it must be hard for him. It must feel like getting left behind in a sense, he must be lonely 😭😭

The way she speaks through Jingliu fits her very well. Her cadence is very measured and methodical, but also strained...like she's constantly holding back her madness (which makes sense considering she's infected). When she gets into her enhanced state in battle, that's where we really hear her: the rage and bloodlust consuming her entirely.

Amalee really carried this story ngl. Whole reason why she’s my fav EN Voice actor. Also not to mention her just using her Monarch voice for Jingliu makes me extremely happy since I love watching her Vtuber streams and listening to her covers.
disagree her combat voice is a bit better than this companion voice it seems slow and tired and raspy here which kinda fit the character i guess but at the same time without the raspiness part of it would have sound better. The one who carried this companion mission was Daman Mills as Blade

I do have to say that blade getting thrown down like that is probably one of the most epic ways to die in the fight. It’s like the devil just got thrown out of heaven with all the fury in the world St Michael just throws him down.
Cant blame them for hating abundance and i need more information about everything here. But, is abundance really the bad one if it was their ancestors that accepted its blessing? Did abundance do it on purpose? Did it knew it was giving a curse like that? Or did they just let them fall to their own desires? Like while i dont have an definite answer, i dont hate the abundance
The only conclusive thing we know is that Yaoshi is an "ask and you shall receive" type of Aeon. They will give you all that you desire, but sometimes, having everything you could ask for isn't always a good thing.
The abundance just gives, problem is too much life isn’t that good. They’re not necessarily evil nor good, it’s just that their "gifts" can have catastrophic consequences and they either don’t care or just don’t know. Yeah the xianzhou ancestors were the ones who went to seek immortality, they just never thought there’d be a drawback, and now their descendants are trying to correct this by eliminating the abominations of the abundance
Blades immortality feels a lot like Captain Jack Harkness’s immortality from Doctor Who. They die for a moment, but I’m Mostly talking about from how they seem to return from death, it’s always followed by a loud gasp. It’s scary close, though the differences are there, Jacks immortality is due to becoming a semi fixed point in time, but without that fixed point ever being specified, due to Rose, meaning death is inescapable from him, but he remains fully capable of keeping memories. While with Blade it’s not the case, as the relic set about him heavily implies each and every death and rebirth his memory slips more and more.
Yes. From what I understand Baiheng was like the center, the heart of the group. But her lore wasn't explained well. We can understand why Yingxing couldn't accept her death, because he met her first and probably the one who made him went to Luofu from Zhuming. She was his dear friend. As for Dan Feng's reason, yup stupid. I can understand if it was Yingxing. He was his closest friend. They spent many nights together and even had paired telepathic bracers and jade pendants. But no it was Baiheng. We only know that they're on the same group and she died to save him, Jingliu, and the rest of them. We don't know how close they were, probably close enough to revive her. Still it's weird. Feel like poor writing here. Hoyo didn't write her story well. She should be the most important character, yet players know almost nothing about her. All we know that she was pilot who cheated on death many times, a bosom friend of Yingxing (who was closest friend of Dan Feng), a dear friend of Jingliu. Jingliu's sin is more stupid for me. Yes she was guilty of killing many of her men because of mara, but her sin here is like forced to fit the other two's crime. Blade's repentence.... when he asked why they did that to her, why her the one who died.... is off but still acceptable.
Jing Yuan is truly the best character, despite all the suffering he went through he still did all he could to fix the mess created by his friends the HCQ and after everything. Even now he still has a lovely gentle heart that cares for all. I love him so much. What a brilliant character. Kudos to hoyoverse for creating this masterpiece of a character.
Xianzhou Natives are cursed with long life and like other long-life species (Vidyadhara and Foxianx), they are far slower compared to normal people. As for Dan Heng, he was reincarnated; he died as Dan Feng and was reborn as Dan Heng.

Dan Feng wanted to end the succession of Imbibitor Lunae with him and pass off his powers to Baiheng but he failed she wasn't able to gain the full authority of the High Elder
I'm still a bit sceptical, but it could be Dan Feng actually succeeded in the dragon transmutation and can also explain why people reject the idea of Bailu as high elder.
I have this one oc from Honkai impact who used to be a part of a group of 5 (made up story, not actuall lore) Amar Satoshi along wither sister, Hinata grew up alone. That was when Hineko Murata and Fu Hua and Kiarah (oc) found them. After enrolling into St. Freya, Amar saw Hua and Kiarah as big sisters, but for Himeko a mother. The 5 took a group photo however one time and they were happy... it didn't last long... Kiarah died and ended up having Blade's fate. Becoming a shadow chasing after a specific person. Amar... Himeko past awayed at final lesson. Like Baiheng, there is no garantee she will come back Fu Hua died but came back but in a way ended up like Jingliu Hinata, Amar's big sister sacrifised herself to save amar from the herrscher of reality (made up) persona and died but reincarnated like dan heng. But unlike dan heng, she is still the same hinata And finally Amar, like Jing Yuan, she is the only one left (excluding Fu Hua). The one who hasen't been killed. However, she emphesythes more with dan heng because she knows how it feels to be hated. When your friends are your only home. When you try to be yourself, not what other see you orriginally. And being chased... for a pointless reason... Blade is after Dan Feng but I think he was unaware he already died

Did you even listen to the quest at all... She's turning herself in to the Xianzhou Alliance. The entire quest was just JL asking to spend a day to meet up with old friends (High Cloud Quintet) before she was sent to the Shackling Prison.

That is Baiheng, probably the best pilot the Alliance had ever seen. She was killed during a battle and was resurrected by Imbibitor Lunae. Now she is nothing more than a Child with no memory of her creation. She is now the High Elder of the Vidhyadhar known as Bailu.
there is a little wrong here, jing yuan is strongest out of the 5, in jingliu's voiceline she conveys that jing yuan achieved success when he had no natural talent, and to a master a success is when they surpass them, jing yuan is very smart, that even jinliu acknowledges a lot, she said in the quest, that, " jing yuan you haven't changed at all, trying to destroy the plans of other" well that obvious as he is the divine foresight, but jing yuan defeated jingliu which is why she fled to different world, knowing the xianzhou is in good hands now. so strongest in jing yuan>jingliu>dan feng>blade>dan heng(since his powers are now gone, his horns were taken away now)
Still give top spot to Imbibitor Lunae and JY simply because they are Emanator level threats. We all know how much trouble Shuhu gave to the High Cloud Quintet, and sincerely don't think Mara-powers are enough to boost JL or Blade to Emanator levels.

What I like about this is Yanquing basically looking at his Master's old friends and wondering if they will be like that, or worse when the time comes.
I just hope Yanqing can be understand General Jing Yuan's past with his three old friends who have now gone their separate ways. Like Jingliu surrendering himself to be captured, Blade who has now joined the Stellaron Hunter to fulfill Elio's orders, so that Elio can find a way to make Blade die peacefully and the last one is Dan Heng who is his reincarnation of Dan Feng has now decided to continue his journey as the Astral Express Crew. So that Yanqing can understand that as time goes by, Yanqing will definitely suffer the same fate as them, when he grow up like General Jingyuan
after being so used to playing genshin, it’s always such a trip to see the mouths moving accordingly to whichever language you choose for the dialogue

It's amazing how he's the only one who managed to remain sane after everything that's happening, be it as a general or as an individual. The friends he once knew don't exist anymore, even if they're actual in front of him now. And knowing that he's really old in Loufu standards, it's no wonder he wanted to test Fu Xuan first during the stellaron crisis so that he knows that he's choosing the right person as next general. And from the short animated film, it can be implied that Jing probably trained Yanqing in preparation if one day he succumb to Mara.

I feel so bad for Jing Yuan because he's the only sane or normal remaining member who's pretty much the same self as he was when he was close friends with them. But for other members, they have all either forgotten, moved on or gone insane so their memories of the group's time together won't affect them in the same way maybe. But for Jing Yuan, since he's still the same, he must remember a lot of their memories together so to see all his friends the way they are now as compared to how it used to be.....it must be hard for him. It must feel like getting left behind in a sense, he must be lonely 😭😭

Her cadence is very measured and methodical, but also strained...like she's constantly holding back her madness (which makes sense considering she's infected). When she gets into her enhanced state in battle, that's where we really hear her: the rage and bloodlust consuming her entirely.

I do have to say that blade getting thrown down like that is probably one of the most epic ways to die in the fight. It’s like the devil just got thrown out of heaven with all the fury in the world St Michael just throws him down.

Blades immortality feels a lot like Captain Jack Harkness’s immortality from Doctor Who.
They die for a moment, but I’m Mostly talking about from how they seem to return from death, it’s always followed by a loud gasp.
It’s scary close, though the differences are there, Jacks immortality is due to becoming a semi fixed point in time, but without that fixed point ever being specified, due to Rose, meaning death is inescapable from him, but he remains fully capable of keeping memories.
While with Blade it’s not the case, as the relic set about him heavily implies each and every death and rebirth his memory slips more and more.

Yes. From what I understand Baiheng was like the center, the heart of the group. But her lore wasn't explained well. We can understand why Yingxing couldn't accept her death, because he met her first and probably the one who made him went to Luofu from Zhuming. She was his dear friend.
As for Dan Feng's reason, yup stupid. I can understand if it was Yingxing. He was his closest friend. They spent many nights together and even had paired telepathic bracers and jade pendants. But no it was Baiheng. We only know that they're on the same group and she died to save him, Jingliu, and the rest of them. We don't know how close they were, probably close enough to revive her. Still it's weird. Feel like poor writing here.
Hoyo didn't write her story well. She should be the most important character, yet players know almost nothing about her. All we know that she was pilot who cheated on death many times, a bosom friend of Yingxing (who was closest friend of Dan Feng), a dear friend of Jingliu.
Jingliu's sin is more stupid for me. Yes she was guilty of killing many of her men because of mara, but her sin here is like forced to fit the other two's crime.
Blade's repentence.... when he asked why they did that to her, why her the one who died.... is off but still acceptable.

Jing Yuan is truly the best character, despite all the suffering he went through he still did all he could to fix the mess created by his friends the HCQ and after everything. Even now he still has a lovely gentle heart that cares for all. I love him so much. What a brilliant character. Kudos to hoyoverse for creating this masterpiece of a character.

I'm still a bit sceptical, but it could be Dan Feng actually succeeded in the dragon transmutation and can also explain why people reject the idea of Bailu as high elder.

I have this one oc from Honkai impact who used to be a part of a group of 5 (made up story, not actuall lore) Amar Satoshi along wither sister, Hinata grew up alone. That was when Hineko Murata and Fu Hua and Kiarah (oc) found them. After enrolling into St. Freya, Amar saw Hua and Kiarah as big sisters, but for Himeko a mother. The 5 took a group photo however one time and they were happy... it didn't last long...
Kiarah died and ended up having Blade's fate. Becoming a shadow chasing after a specific person. Amar...
Himeko past awayed at final lesson. Like Baiheng, there is no garantee she will come back
Fu Hua died but came back but in a way ended up like Jingliu
Hinata, Amar's big sister sacrifised herself to save amar from the herrscher of reality (made up) persona and died but reincarnated like dan heng. But unlike dan heng, she is still the same hinata
And finally Amar, like Jing Yuan, she is the only one left (excluding Fu Hua). The one who hasen't been killed. However, she emphesythes more with dan heng because she knows how it feels to be hated. When your friends are your only home. When you try to be yourself, not what other see you orriginally. And being chased... for a pointless reason...

Did you even listen to the quest at all... She's turning herself in to the Xianzhou Alliance. The entire quest was just JL asking to spend a day to meet up with old friends (High Cloud Quintet) before she was sent to the Shackling Prison.

there is a little wrong here, jing yuan is strongest out of the 5, in jingliu's voiceline she conveys that jing yuan achieved success when he had no natural talent, and to a master a success is when they surpass them, jing yuan is very smart, that even jinliu acknowledges a lot, she said in the quest, that, " jing yuan you haven't changed at all, trying to destroy the plans of other" well that obvious as he is the divine foresight, but jing yuan defeated jingliu which is why she fled to different world, knowing the xianzhou is in good hands now.
