Great job Dimitris, and really entertaining vid. An old pal of mine and I made a diddly bow a few years ago. He was a great guitar player but had never made anything before - we had the greatest day of fun ever. And he played the living daylights out of that thing! This really reminded of that super day. Thanks so much mate.
Jessica Vergara All you need, honestly, is a bit of wood, a couple of screws, a guitar string and some kind of resonator like a glass bottle or a can. Start with that and work your way up to something like this.
Only need a few things to get started on woodworking. A hand saw of some sort, a chisel set, a hand planer, and some sandpaper. All the fancy power tools exist to make it easier, but people built instruments a thousand years ago and never once plugged in a power tool.

Whats the name of the song that you use in all of your videos? It sounds like a jazz standard of sorts, but I can't seem to find the name of it. I feel like I've heard it before somewhere and it's been on the tip of my tongue for weeks now.
Maybe I missed something, but are you willing to sell this? What would be you're minimum cost for this one? Just curious, if the price is right, I might buy. ;)
__BabbleCast__ __Gaming__ if only he had thought of that, he could have played it with a slide, maybe made from a bottleneck or something? He could also maybe have demonstrated playing it like this at the end of the video. Ah well!
No as pickups aren't just magnets. Here's the same pickup used for like £7 www.amazon.co.uk/FLEOR-Potted-Guitar-Similar-Replacement/dp/B073PZ87B7/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=telecaster+neck+pickup&qid=1588899668&sprefix=telecaster+neck+&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExSDZNWkc0UFVKSDZNJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTc3MjI0MjM2WkU4OUFRRUhGQSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzczODc4M004U0Y1RE9YOTFWRiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

Wouldnt it make more sense to build it like a regular fretless, and use a piezo instead of a pickup? It would be cheaper and you wouldnt have to use the bottleneck slide
Cool. Seams like it doesn't matter what comes into your hands, you are able to build some kind of instrument out of it. Very creative.
lol, Thank you very much my friend

Wow, awesome to hear that, thanks man!
Forgot to say how much I enjoyed your playing at the end! Btw, what editing app are you using? (I think I asked you before but I've forgotten...)
Finally! something within my budget!
Unreal. You can not get more basic than that. Thanks.
I guess you can’t! And it’s totally real
Very clever! You're the DIY instrument man, no doubt!!
Thank you my friend. Really cool title for me! :)
Your videos are so confourtables, I don't know why, but I feel that way when someones works with wood. Cheers from Argentina!
Thank you very much my friend, greetings from Greece

Never had a broom stick guitar before ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
More bass, than a guitar.
Bass guitar?
Yeah a thinner string perhaps would change the tone.
With modern down tuned music is there really a difference anymore?
That's a nice looking and nice sounding diddly bow you got there
thank you very much
Wow, a lot of music from just one string. Very cool.
thank you
For a broom, the tone is surprisingly gud.
thank you
I was just waiting for him to throw eggs at it
Hi rob scallon
lol
Beat me to it dude lol
or... Jack White? LOL
Very smart job ms. Sayo
Your hard work brings me relaxation
I always watch these thinking one day I'll make one. But I don't have the right equipment...
The beginning is the most difficult part!
Jessica Vergara Jessica, use what you've got and give it a try - that's how we all get started. Good luck and let us see what you come up with!

First makers of these type of instruments did not have any of these equipments.
Sound effects brilliant !
thank you
I already watch one scrap wood city. After watching this, I subscribed! Just awesome!

Option here are endless, thinking of a audio to midi converter. Cool video.
Wow...just genius 👆🙌
thank you
Really cool...
Called a diddley bow..
diddley has a resonator in the bottom, this one's electric
Hi! I might be a bit late asking this but how does the electric output work? Because I want to make one of these for myself.
Awesome 🤘
Thank you
Nice Diddley Bow!

It's the soundtrack of my channel and I composed and recorded just for this purpose. It's sounds familiar because it is a 12 bar blues!
Maybe I missed something, but are you willing to sell this? What would be you're minimum cost for this one? Just curious, if the price is right, I might buy. ;)
Sorry I don't sell the stuff I make
Scrap wood City
Aww, oh well. Might as well and try to make one. Thanks.
Thank you all very much
Thank you for watching and commenting
Awesome
thank you
My dream come true
Didn't even know that was possible! Does the string ever make contact with the wood when to change the note?
thank you. No it does not, the action is pretty high
You know the action for being that high it could be a slide guitar
__BabbleCast__ __Gaming__ if only he had thought of that, he could have played it with a slide, maybe made from a bottleneck or something? He could also maybe have demonstrated playing it like this at the end of the video. Ah well!
its hard to tell with the action being in the literal inches
I found lipstick pickup too expensive for this project, so I have to ask: Can common garden door magnet be used for this purpose?
No as pickups aren't just magnets. Here's the same pickup used for like £7 www.amazon.co.uk/FLEOR-Potted-Guitar-Similar-Replacement/dp/B073PZ87B7/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=telecaster+neck+pickup&qid=1588899668&sprefix=telecaster+neck+&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExSDZNWkc0UFVKSDZNJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTc3MjI0MjM2WkU4OUFRRUhGQSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNzczODc4M004U0Y1RE9YOTFWRiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

Great work! I like your videos!
thank you
You need to "brush" up on your skills... my bad, could not resist awesome job :)
Now that's pretty cool indeed......... :)
thank you
cool bro, i like it
thank you
hey i'm planing on making the one stringed guitar and do you know the length of the broom stick. also good job on the guitar look amazing.
Wouldnt it make more sense to build it like a regular fretless, and use a piezo instead of a pickup? It would be cheaper and you wouldnt have to use the bottleneck slide
nice video brother
thank you
Now I can rock out and sweep
Can anyone tell me what did he used to connect the black n white wires from the pickups to the jack of the amp?
Freaking awesome Dr. Zoidberg! Did you make the glass slide yourself?
Thank you. Yes I did
Awesome
Can you make a balalaika? The triangular slavic guitar
I want to do so in future
nice job. Short handled shovel next? :D
thank you, perhaps
Please could you try to atatch guitar neck to ukulele body? Would like to make it for myself with your advice?
Perhaps, I those things fell in my hands!
Genialll
thank you
Reminds me of Rob Scallon's shovel guitar
It's close. But those kind of instruments were used many years before in the early roots blues days!
How did you come up with it?
I was inspired by early blues players
Nice but does it djent?
Lil broomstick :D
:)
diddley bow ?
Close enough!
Does anyone have a link to where I can buy that pickup/plugin?
Cool!
Θα μπορούσε να ήταν και το νέο κόντρα μπάσο 😂 αλλά υγεία καλή δουλειά !
Should have put like a .25 string on it and heavy distortion to make a djent stick
Does it djent?
What is the string tuned at
Can i connect this to an Interface to record?
Oooh yeah 😎
Thanks
You should make an epic berimbau
When in doubt, make music. That's a lesson here.
True. Thanks
I wonder if pvc pipe would work
I don't think so, it's too flexible!
Can I️ buy this from you
Please make a Japanese 3 stringed shamisen
Does djent?
But can it djent?
interesting - very interesting
Thank you Jimi
Как звучит оркестр из всех инструментов сделанных вами?
I am making a cigar box guitar :D
Nice
Please give me your (stuff), [[knowledge]] and {{{craziness}}}.. That's so cool...
Thank you my friend
Πολύ ωραίο πρότζεκτ Δημήτρη. Τιποτα δε πάει χαμένο...
Ευχαριστώ πολύ Βασίλη
And up next, a whistle constructed from a shoelace.
lol
and this is slowed down!! hes really much faster!
I think it's more appropriate to call that a diddly bow.
Thicker string + lower tuning = Djent stick
+ Lower Action + Longer Scale Length
Easier said than done but interesting.
but
does
it
dj0nt?
KLASSEE :-))))
But does it djent
Psychedelic
