    Marvelously done. Love the cinematography, editing. Exquisite choice and use of music. Love the willingness to let the story unfold without narrative to "explain" everything. The story as told in the description is nice without proselytizing or judgement. Superb example of mood and tone in a visual story. A winner, Sir. A winner.

    Superbly done - Camera work, editing, choice of music, unobtrusive and gentle story-telling. I agree, if I needed an example of Tenkara in Japan, (and as our original and deep spiritual inspiration here) I would use this video. Fishing Tech note: Please note his ease of casting and rod action under quite windy conditions.

    Hallo wieso nimmt der Fischer so ein kleinen Fisch mit ? Wird die Art der Salmonieden nicht größer oder welchen Hintergrund hat das? Bei uns darf man Forellen erst ab 30cm entnehmen

    • @DiscoverTenkara
      @DiscoverTenkara  3 года назад

      Sie haben die Größe, die mit dieser Bachumgebung im Gleichgewicht ist (und sie reifen in jungen Jahren, ähnlich wie Bachforellen, mit denen sie eng verwandt sind).
      Größere Größenbeschränkungen funktionieren nur bei Fischarten, die die Fortpflanzung verzögern, bis sie 3, 4 oder mehr Jahre alt sind.
      Heutzutage ist die Lebensweise der "Shokuryoshi" (professioneller Fliegenfischer) fast ausgestorben. Jetzt führen "Sport"-Tenkara-Angler einen Kulturwandel hin zum Catch-and-Release (No-Kill)-Fischen.
      Schöne Grüße,
      Paul

    what kind of casting stroke was that ! Does he have a real short line?

    • @DiscoverTenkara
      @DiscoverTenkara  4 года назад +1

      No, not a short line - He has 6 metres of horshair casting line and then just under a metre of tippet on a 4-m rod.

    deep fry the little boogers, thats a smart idea. when i learned to kill things as a kid it fuelled me to be llarger, stronger, faster than yer average 🇬🇧of that time. much of my muscle and fitnes came from catching fish but away from the coast that meant trout. sadly on coming to 🇺🇸 ive found american trout are a little wanting in flavour- i little too much of the mud taste. a little light coating of various flours n the a good ol' shallow deep fry might do wonders for the same of trout. of course all the 🇬🇧 trout i caught were all born in the cool, fresh water i illegally oicked them out of- blame my grandad, he gave me his handline when he could no longer run from the water bailif.
