JT honesty is refreshing. We all have similar false alarm repair stories to confess. Great for the soul and audience building. Fix it no matter how hard to diagnose.
Once saw a video on utube about this same issue on a mini van at a independent shop that had insurance from one of those car warranties places like car shield and they denied the claim what a scam
Lmao..Exactly. I been calling that a flywheel for 2 decades because the auto trans a majority. It's not until I got on youtube that I realize quickly that the correct wording matters to a silent minority.. But on RUclips, the algorithm matters to youtubers. I have to use words like Motor instead of Engine.
JT,Taking my 2020 Pacifica S in for a tuneup, flush radiator and trans service.135k miles. On ZF 9 speed do you recommend drain and fill or flush machine.Thank you,Mike the Greek
Lol, wait, so I told you the problem and even showed the problem first hand. What exactly is there left to see after the new part installed. Most people stop watch after they see the problem. Besides, the video would not even exist if the car still had this noise after the broken part replaced. But yes, its fixed and long gone
I seen repeat cracked flex plates due to missing dowel pins and transmission misalignment.. Its weird the way that plate broke in a square with the corners pointing to the convertor bolts.
I hope you could answer this/help. I have a used 2007 Acura MDX, I'm not sure what # owner I am. It has 205,000+ miles. When I'm approaching 60 mph, I hear what sounds like vibration (BRRRRRRR). When I let off the gas and let it coast, the sound persists until it goes under 60mph. What is it? 😫😭
I just pulled a transmission out of a old chevy diesel because the fly wheel broke and rattled like a son of a gun on startup. Its a chevy diesel before duramax its a 6.5 L garbage engine i wonder why the farm bought it...

Flex plate 😀
All the ones correcting you saying its a flex plate are the weekend warriors. The rest of us know what you mean 😂

What in tarnation!
Thank you for making this
Can a flywheel on a manual transmission break suddenly if someone drives it wrong for a few hours?
Cheap parts break.

honestly its to be expected if youre replacing torque converters without replacing flexplates.
Wow!!!!
Damn I wish you showed it after you did everything. I wanted to see what was the outcome

MOPAR FLYWHEEL 🤔
Mechanic/technician should have 3 hands so they can film.
Lmao

I hate to tell this that is a flex plate a flywheel is only for manual transmissions. 🙂
Yes, thanks
DSG automatics also have a flywheel.
