Correct about the blue undertone. It's the Midnight Black Pearl. Wife and I have it on the highlander and the top half of the camry. A really neat touch.

Lol you sure can’t. I have a 2007 Avalon currently and absolutely love it. It’s realiable as can be,super comfortable, roomy, powerful and gets decent mpg. Couldn’t ask for more. I will definitely give the new Avalon a year or 2 before buying so they can fix any issues that are bound to come about with a redesign but I absolutely love this new Avalon.

The Avalon is on the same exact platform and engine as the 2019 Lexus ES350. The interior features are different between the two, though the Avalon nets out with more important features like rear heated seats, wireless charger, three USB in the front and two in the back. The infotainment system in Avalon is much easier to use than the ES. The ES looks a bit more sporty, though they drive on the same exact suspension. Buying the Avalon Touring vs the top end ES350 cost me 15k less than I would have paid for the ES F Sport. I’m not a badge snob, so that extra money (I paid it off completely upon purchase) made more sense for me.

I love the touring model and design especially in black but I really want them to put the red leather interior in! Or even just the brown but they only offer black or grey in touring! :( the limited doesn’t look as good so please Toyota! Red leather interior or brown in the touring trim!

How different between the touring and the xse?
I was looking at the car to buy it and after a test drive I decided not to.
Even tho the car looks huge on the outside once u get inside u notice how the designers didint do a good job on the interior.
Dashboard is big and high making it difficult to watch the road thru the small windshield.
Center console is also too high when sitting in those”low seats”(I’m 6ft tall)
The back seats do have great leg room but not good head room.
The rear view mirror is useles do to the small piece of glass behind the backseats and those huge head rests attached to the seats.
U can’t get leather on the sporty trims u get leather imitation and little bit of suede!
To
Get one of the sporty trims with all the belts and whistles u have to pay a little over $45k and u not even getting leather.
Resale value not good after a couple of years(great exterior and good engine yes) but not worth that much money.
Even tho I hate to admit it.
Cuz I believe the exterior looks really bad.
The Honda Accord is a much better buy right now.
U will pay a little over $36k for the highest trim with all the bells and whistles.
U do get a leather interior and resale value is very

It still confuses me how even though the Avalon is considered more premium than the Camry, but the Camry can come with a panoramic sunroof and the Avalon can’t
Nick C. A panoramic sunroof does add in more weight. The Avalon already weighs 100 lbs or so more than it's younger sibling, and more weight would make it sluggish, especially on a straight line, even though it strangely feels a bit more robust and lighter than the Camry.
Other than that though, the Avalon does offer plenty more premium luxury amenities the Camry doesn't offer. (ex: Memory seats, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, heated streeing wheel, etc).

Besides, the Avalon and Accord aren't even in the same segment and league. So this isn't even a comparison. It's clear the Avalon is still better than the Accord, although the Accord competes against the Camry.

The grill doesn't look as hideous on the black car as it does on light colored vehicle. When you see a light colored avalon you will note how ugly it looks from the front.

Why does Toyota not offer leather seats on so many models when nearly every other competitor does? A top trim $44,000 car should have leather seats, not pleather.
Grayson Carr Their "pleather" is extremely durable and high quality. A leather option would probably set you back 3-4k something nobody would want to buy. At that price you should just buy a Lexus ES
i prefer pleather or "softex" is what Toyota calls it, they're so much more durable, it doesn't get as hot in the sun, doesn't stain, doesn't deteriorate over time, and no need to condition it.
I think the reason they don't have super expensive options like massaging seats and what not in toyota's lineup is that they have to save some luxury options for lexus.
