It's a fascinating show, and no doubt we can learn a great deal from his experiences with bears. Though I do agree that what he's doing can potentially endanger nearby settlements. Generations of bears are being raised to know that approaching this home will see them well fed. What happens when he's gone? Surely they'll test the borders of other houses in the hopes of easy meals? Right now, it's fine enough, but these bears are learning that humans feed them from as early as birth.

Black bears do eat people. In fact, they are more likely to consume you if they attack you. Grizzlies are simply trying to neutralize whatever is threatening them, but a black bear is more likely to PREY on you. It doesn't happen often, but if a black bear is following you, stalking you, hanging around you and it's not going away, you're on the radar of food. The reasons these bears are being tolerant is because he's feeding them. If he wasn't, those BLACK bears would be just as dangerous as the grizzlies.

Even the bears he loves so much. For bears to survive they need to stay the fuck away from humans, or they will be shot.

The narrator said, "unlike black bears, grizzlies eat people." I am pretty sure it us the other way round. Although both bears have eaten people, black bears are known to hunt people for food. They are far more predatory that grizzlies. Grizzlies will usually kill to defend. Black bears often kill to eat.
