- The prophet Zephaniah addressed the social injustice and moral decay of Judah and her neighbors, proclaiming the coming day of the Lord and His wrath upon the nations-both an immediate judgment and a future end-times judgment. God sent Haggai the prophet to preach to the restored community of Jews in Jerusalem after their return from exile in Babylonia. Haggai encouraged the nation to set aside their selfishness and finish rebuilding the temple, an act of obedience that would align their desire with God's desire.
This teaching is from our series The Bible from 30,000 Feet - 2018 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.
That song at the beginning was hilarious. Wish I could join you guys for service! Peace from the Netherlands
The LORD has been judging me hard because I'm very stubborn like Jonah worshipping my own comfort.
Try giving financially if you're able, more than you're typically comfortable with to some organization or church involved in evangelism. It's a start towards denying yourself more.
If Zephaniah is for towards the last days as well as the exile to Babylon.
Is what's happening in Israel now - the evil slaughter by Hamas of Israelis.
Could it be that Gaza is destroyed in the place of the Philistine land? They are in approximately the same area.
Wonderful series! Have learned so much by watching this series! Thanks Pastor Heitzig!
Always a good message. Thank you so much for your teachings!!
Thanks for the song and teaching on this book, the book of Zephaniah.
I am truly impressed by the depth of insight and the grace of God on your life. Please keep the good work.
I also wanted to share something with you that comes from a place of respect and appreciation for the incredible impact you have. Sometimes, the way we present ourselves can influence how others perceive us, especially in professional settings. I believe that dressing in a way that reflects your wisdom and experience could enhance your already strong presence. It may help ensure that nothing detracts from the remarkable contributions you are making. Your impact is significant, and I wouldn't want anything, even something as simple as attire, to minimize the influence God has intended for you.
For those looking for the record history, I found a recently published free collection, that might be useful as a study aid. I'd compare it to other bibles - such as the Annotated Bible from this study: Lord Henfield "The Grand Bible" (and any other accompanying texts). They also have a beautiful green Qur'an, as well as other texts about Muslim culture, but I'm not sure what form of Islam they were studying. (These are also very recent texts. 2021)
This message was meant for me, God have mercy on me, I left evangelism and went for employment, now I hear God's voice speaking to me, who I'm I Lord, not to hearken unto thy voice, I'm ready God receive me back
Thank you pastor, thank you LORD 🤎 God bless us all.

It's a reference to Isaiah 6:5-7
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Thank you very much sir for beautiful teaching.
