I do have an SAD001 with short BLOD. It’s my nemesis. After a WLOD and Encoder change it went BLOD. I have butchered this board by trying things. But I have indeed confirmed that one of the 2.2 resistors has failed to 400k. Even after changing the PS4 still BLODs, but that is probably due to my mistreatments. Whenever I acquire the next SAD001 board it will start to compare things. Might still take huge time. Never give up. Never surrender. ;)
Yes, this one was an odd one :). I'm coming back for those to be true :D. Cause, how many times we can watch the same things :), especially if we fix them on a daily basis :). So, thank you for this treat ;).
Awesome rework. You've another follower, I've two SAA001 with very short blue led and off (obviously no faulty PSU), tomorrow I'll check those resistors. It's a different board but I guess is a 12V rail missing somewhere. From experience I pointed to APU fault when the blue light fade in and then out but slowly in 2 seconds about, not as a power cut
Some months passed but today I got the point, there was one blown capacitor near the fuse (you see It @1:23 !), replaced with a donor board one. BOOM! up'n running again, hdd ok and blue ray ok! damn that was satisfying... thank you again for your really nice channel Toltecmerc
Hi mister. I have problem with blod. When i turn on its just blinking blue light and console not turning off. Also i cant enter safe mode. Any sugestions?
@@ToltecMerc Just to say, maybe will help to someone with same issues. I just fix my ps4 by putting motherboard into oven. I "bake" it on 240° for 7 minutes and it works. It boot normally, temperatures are fine. Offcourse im lucky, i still dont know what was exactly problem but its solved. Thanks to reply and i hope you will be so success in your repairs. Cheers!
i have been having problems with my hard drive for the last few months and it only worked after i initialized the console, i did it so many times that yesterday after i initialized i got the BLOD, i can say it is a hd issue and just replace it right?
It is most likely your hard drive in that scenario since you were having repeated issues with it. It sounds like the hard drive has been dying for a while.
I got the same problem on an off in 1s an i just buy a new ps4 power supply won't stay on but the blu ray drive makes nosie but when i turn it on an it turn off i got to unplug an try again please reply
I do have 2 books of SMD resistors and capacitors. Came from China via eBay. Handy because you run out of certain parts on donors because of repetitive repairs.
@@ToltecMerc you're exactly right and I figure you maybe had some books of components. I'm looking around trying to figure out which ones I want to purchase.

Good job! It's a great luck you have found damaged lines and great experience to find those CS resistors! 👍
Thank You! Sometimes you get lucky!
this man just saved my marriage with this repair! GOOD STUFF!
I'm glad it was helpful!

Awesome good job bro, great info, wondering how long you were comparing readings. What a tedious but fruitful job sometimes!!
It took several hours. I missed it earlier because I was looking for a short. Sometimes it's an open.
Keep making videos! Love them
Thank You! I will try!
Amazing job man 💯👍🏾
Thank you very much!
Good job mate 👍
Thank you!
Nice job dude
Thanks for watching!
Hey you do oversea repairs I’m from the Caribbean 🇹🇹 yea where I from these guys don’t do Southbridge Hdmi chip ext …
At this point, I don't do any customer repairs. I buy broken consoles, repair and resale. It's just a hobby. I might do some for customers later.
@@ToltecMerc ok thanks keep up the good work man 👍🏾
great fix
Thanks!
How much do you charge for ps4 cuh-1001a blod repair?
That would be me doing more damage then good !! Good Repair !!
Hi mister. I have problem with blod. When i turn on its just blinking blue light and console not turning off. Also i cant enter safe mode. Any sugestions?
This sounds like classic Blue Light of Death. It can be a lot of things. Bad RAM. South Bridge. APU. Very hard to diagnose.

I gat one here it crashes games everytime ( CE-34878-0) any fix for that, I have tried everything possible
Possible data corruption due to a dying hard drive.
@@ToltecMerc already replaced a new HDD and reinstalled the latest firmware
Do you buy an assortment of resistors and caps from somewhere?
