- I first heard about the Neon Egg Planetarium from few artist that I admire, so I knew I had to put my hands on one unit and test it out.
This beautiful pedal pack a lot of cool features : Reverb, Chorus, Delay and compressor with side chaining. Join me for an in depth review of it along with the Vermona Perfourmer MK2 and @oxiinstruments One!

I think we've reached an apex with these glorified stomp boxes, we're at an evolutionary transitional crossroad, and should probably stop calling them "pedals" since they are all making their way to people's desktop (nobody's hitting those switches on the floor with their feet) let's be honest, also that angled face plate proves the point (it's for the desktop user). The time has arrived, to ditch those _cumbersome foot switches_ and go for something _easy on the hands_ in this evolutionary process too. IMO
it is actually a great point.
This!
I'm a guitarist. Stay away from my pedals, all of you. Go away.
I think about this all of the time. The rapid shift to ride-or-die stereo, the usage by everyone from harpists to hip-hop beatmakers without strings in sight, the ultra-durable stomp switches that have zero scratches after a year of daily use. We call them pedals because we don't know what else to call them, and it feels deviant to consider that we're all collectively creating a new category through the power of our purchase habits.
It's possible that the most significant sign for those who are willing to see it is the non-verbal anger a lot of guitarists convey (through pheromones?) when it seems like what we want to do with them makes them uncomfortable.
I wish there was a coherent forum for continuing this topic that wasn't comments on a YT video.
@@pjforde1978 I really don't think we're making guitarists uncomfortable.
God I love the slight detune. One of my favorite sounds right here.
thanks
You should release this piece 👏🏽
Beautiful sounds from that box wow
Glad you like it!
Obsessed with your intros, trying to replicate it through my OP1 Field, no luck yet, but I enjoy the process :D
they are mostly monophonic sequences, I guess you can try with the endless sequencer in the OP!
Stunning intro tune! Amazing pedal ❤
Thank you kindly!
amazing tune Oora !! i would listen it for hours !! I was amazed by Neon Egg too when it came, but now i have GAS for performer too :)
great combo :)
I could listen to this for hours 🤩

❤❤❤
thanks for watching!
@@OoraMusic thank you!,,,for the way you do what you do
Got a Neon egg 3 a year ago after being on the waiting list, run Arturia minifreak into it, this sounds amazing together.
I bet!
How would this compare to chroma console?
didnt try that one
They both have completely different vibes, but they can both do a lot
The neon egg gets super spacious and ambient real easily, and I mean that in the best way possible it also does vibe tape Lofi if you want that
The chroma console feels like a suite Of tastefully curated tones that cover pretty much a whole peddle board
The neon egg on synths is ridiculously amazing
The chroma console feels like a Swiss Army knife
Don't have the Egg, but the Chroma seems to be better suited to guitar & bass. I've been a bit underwhelmed on synths, since for example you can't have a delay and a reverb at the same time.
@@ericpeters0n Same here. I like the Chroma, but I'm debating keeping it as it really for me is only for lo-fi fx. The delay and reverb aren't awful, but I have ones sitting beside it that blow it out of the water on a synth. For me, it sounds like it would be best for guitar, bass, putting drums or samplers through, experimental sounds, things like that. It is half the price of the one in the video though, and it looks amazing, so there is that.
@@ericpeters0n I think the Chroma Console truly shines with a stereo reverb after it. I run my main ambient synth (the blofeld) through Chase Bliss Mood (OG MK1), then Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water, the Chroma Console, and then the GFI Specular Tempus, with the Endorphines Golden Master at the end of my chain to bring out the high-ends and use a bit of stereo multiband compression, and the textures I get are absolutely gorgeous. Definitely agree with you on the fact that the Chroma Console, by itself, might lack a bit of depth in terms of spacious sounds, but once you pair with other pedals dedicated to those specific effects, you can get crazy sounds
I feel nothing on my Focals
sorry to (not) hear that. What you mean ?
