In today's entrance evolution we're featuring Goldberg and his WWEGames entrances throughout WWEGames history. This series usually only features the main WWE series (Smackdown - WWE 2K) but since Goldberg only has two of these, I decided to add in his entrance from WWE RAW 2 as a bonus.
This video features Bill Goldberg's entrances from Smackdown Here Comes The Pain, WWE RAW 2, WWE 2K14, and WWE 2K17. He also appeared in WWE Wrestlemania XIX (19) for the GameCube, which isn't featured here.
History Of Goldberg In WWEGames:
WWE Wrestlemania XIX (19) was released in 2003 for the GameCube.
WWE RAW 2 was released in 2003 for the original Xbox.
SD HCTP was released in 2003 for the PS2.
WWE 2K14 was released in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
WWE 2K17 will release in 2016 for the PS4, PS3, XB1 and Xbox 360.

Why a game from 2003 on the original Xbox the pyro looks 100 times more realistic than any game that came out after that? Btw, you forgot about 'Mania XIX on Gamecube.
Didn't forget it bud. I just don't have it to feature it. Plus I normally just stick to main series, but because he's had so few of those I added the RAW 2 entrance as a bonus. :)

Jesus, I didn't really realise how underused he was in WWE games. I mean, Jesus there's a 10 year gap between his first appearance and his third appearance. In that time you could have 13 pregnancies in a row and be 1/3 of the way through another one.

this video is great, because it truly shows how much the game has improved, we tend to think that wwe game haven't evolved but after this comparison we can see how much it has improved, this is definitely going to be a great game.

It's cool to see his WCW Theme and attire, but I would also like to see the WWE Theme and attire as well.
I like 2k14 model more than a new one. In 2k17 he looks like steroid freak. His shoulders are like two football balls. And his face, he looks like Walter White from Breaking Bad. He also doesn't have that relief of abdomen when he's relaxed. He looks more like Community Created superstar in 2k17 then like an original game person.

Yeah HCTP has better animations. I believe the mocap movements are not better but remember there are 2 different versions of him in 2K17 (WCW Goldberg and WWE Goldberg) . This is his WCW entrance not his WWE entrance on 2k17. HCTP is his WWE entrance.

They didn't miss on the fireworks, this was his WCW Nitro entrance which the fireworks were actually pretty weak.

On the 2k17 entrance behind goldberg backstage you can see a grey box, exactly as in the crowd fighting where there is a grey box and you can use those. Maybe you can go there and maybe go into Goldberg's locker room. I may be completely wrong :P Dont hate plz.... :S

People, that was his WCW entrance, his WWE entrance will have him inside the fireworks. All you have to do is take normal WCW Goldberg and give him his WWE entrance if you want it so bad.

I have the Goldberg dvd collection and the fireworks are the same in wcw and wwe he was inside both. 2K is just being lazy and need to improve those pyro graphics but if we can customize the fireworks that will be great

I'm just a little disappointed at the pyro, though. It's cool that you get to see him exhaling smoke & all, but there's just so much lesser pyro on him. He needs to come out while showering in golden sparks, but this version looks like WWE is trying to keep him safe & away from those. lol
When is this game coming out? On my GameStop preorders it says September 13 but that can't be right. Isn't suppose to come out in October?

2k made NBA games look so realistic for so many years before, but they fucked up so badly with WWE ones before ps4 got in the mix. No excuse a game 10 to 11 years before like here comes the pain should looked better than the previous 2k12 or 14 games.

I sincerely hope this is just early promotional footage and not the final product. Because both the character model (in terms of likeness to the real life Goldberg) and the pyro look like shit compared to 2k14. But at least they finally used his original WCW theme.
