Welcome to another episode of our series "Camping Wild in Bieszczady"! Today, we conclude a unique phase of our journey - the achievement of the Bieszczady Crown. Before us lies the last peak, Łopiennik (1069 m a.s.l.), which crowns our challenge and leads us to the coveted badge.
Łopiennik, though rarely visited, hides many charms. It is the culmination of the Łopiennik and Durna Range, beautifully located near the villages of Cisna, Jabłonka, and Dołżyca. From the summit, breathtaking views extend to Falowa, Smerek, and Mała Rawka.
In the Łopiennik area, above Łopienka, a student camping base operates in the summer, where hikers are treated to mint in an old metal mug - a charming place that invites overnight stays under the stars.
In the past, from 1965 to 1977, a mountain shelter operated under the summit of Horodek (889 m a.s.l.) - a wooden cottage without electricity or water, and today the Łopiennik-Durna Range is part of the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park. At Łopiennik, at an altitude of about 800 m, lies the highest protected site of the hairy carnation in Poland.
To complete our Bieszczady Crown challenge, we chose the shortest route to Łopiennik - ideal considering it is our last day in the Bieszczady. The trail, though short, leads steeply upward, giving us a solid workout. We pass through picturesque forest sections and steep slopes until we finally reach an expansive meadow that leads us to our goal.
At the summit of Łopiennik, we savor the moment of triumph, knowing this marks the end of our Bieszczady adventure. We gather our memories to embark on the journey back but leave a part of ourselves in these beautiful, wild mountains.

gratuluję siegniecia po Koronę Bieszczadów, niejako po sąsiedzku jest ciekawy projekt - Korona Ziemi Sanockiej stworzony przez zdobwycę Korony Zidmi, oczywiscie serdecznie polecam rowniez Korone Beskidu Niskiego i Gorlicką Odznakę Turystyczną, nigdzie indziej jak w Beskidzie Niskim czlowiek tak nie wypoczywa, zobaczycie jak wejdziecie na Kamień nad Jasliskami, Polańską, Kanasiówkę itd.
Znamy temat, macie bardzo fajnych ludzi w PTTK Sanok. Poinformowali nas o wszystkim. Będziemy nie długo w Beskidzie Niskim zrobimy koronę chcemy pokazać BN mało znany a napewno mniej niż Bieszczady. Planujemy 4-6 tygodni na Beskid. Jak starczy czasu to zrobimy koronę ziemi Samockiej tym bardziej ze niektóre szczyty się pokrywają. Pozdrawiamy!
