Hi Matt, thanks for a great episode once again! Are you willing to share what happened to your relationship with Best Athletics (Nick) as well as Trackstaa? All good if you feel it’s private
Trackstaa's entire brand is based off un-original content - he uses other brands/peoples content and poses as his own - i do appreciate him tagging people but in my opinion he shouldn't be approaching sponsors using other peoples content he doesn't usually ask permission for. That's one thing - but to say publicly that Sweat Elite is “bad for the sport” - for not allowing him to steal our content, much like how he doesn’t like Flotrack - meant we just blocked him. That’s all. No hard feelings but would prefer to stay clear of that given we now have a lot of brand interest and we're spending a lot of money producing content. Trackstaa appears to be engineering "drama" to an extreme level, not a fan. Regarding Best Athletics / Nick Bester - it was discovered that many (perhaps in the vicinity of 100+) enquiries were stolen from Sweat Elite, hence why Nick now coaches 160 people. They're all on a duplicated generic plan for £100-130/month outsourcing the programming to a staff member at £12/hour. I personally was removed from the coaches WhatsApp group when asking a few questions about it… a few other monetary issues (pressured into expensive Christmas parties, overcharging on training camps, no incentives for taking track sessions in person but pressure to attend etc)
Very welcome, hope things improve in the running world. Sweat Elite was of course interested in starting an ethical coaching company so we did and we have 50 members pre launch. More to come.
@@sweatelite 28:08 I’ve !been wanting to ask this question also but reset the privacy. Thanks for the clarity. As a follower of many channels this by far holds my interest the most
New to your channel. Binge watched your Berlin series (loved it) and now following the Osaka journey. Absolutely loving the content and training detail. Very inspiring bud, keep up the good work.
Really enjoying the content Matt, great work. Certainly got me thinking a lot more re use of gels and carb drinks in training for the Paris Marathon in April. Definitely think i under fueled in my last marathon. Good luck at Osaka.
Loving your content, even if I’m far from being an elite! On a side note, I tried for the first time the Precision gels, and I really appreciated the ‘neutral’ flavour compared to my usual SIS gels. Not sure about the performance but at least I don’t get sick 😂
Nice. Yes at the end of the day we need carbs first and foremost (a few electrolytes and caffeine are also helpful at times) and there are many good options out there. Love PF&H myself.
With the extra carbs intra workout, have you found that your intake the rest of the day has decreased or are you basically just burning straight through the gels and carb drink so still need as much “real food”?
Great question - there's no clear answer and its not universal (lacking a better word).. most people need 15+ days at altitude to gain much from it, it's more a time crunch for me here with video projects. I'm also taking the training camp (14 nights) which is main reason I'm here if that makes sense. But yes - ideally a bit more time at altitude.
Hi Matt, i have a question about the New balance wich you use in this video. I'm looking for a soft and soft shoes for speed work-out (3:30/3:50/km in fartlek and stuff like this) are the NB a good option? I've try the Endorphin Speed 3 but are lack of softness/reactivity, i use nw the vapofly 2 but i feel stiff and hard so i have to use my alphafly for like all the workout. Do you suggest those NB Which type of NB are? Thanks!
It's no surprise to me that all these RUclips personalities turn out to be scam artists ... It's not easy creating original content and costs money, man power, and connection to the industry. So to have a channel grow so fast and generate revenue quickly requires ... "outside of box" thinking.

I have followed you in strava and watching you in RUclips regularly. Motivating me to run every day. Thanks!
Appreciate that 👍🏻
I could not have done my session today if it weren’t for the motivation provided by Matt Fox
Thanks loads for your honesty re Best Athletics Matt. I have heard similar stuff but no one had the guts to go online about it
Welcome. I guess nobody else saw the inner circle well (or those that did/can are just being silenced)
Good stuff Matt! Would love to see more trail focused athletes in the future--the Jim Walmsley and Tom Evans episodes are two of the best!
Will work on it!
Agreed. 2 of my favourite episodes are Jim on his last long run before WS. And Tom doing a local looped workout.
Great content.
Keep it coming 👍

Love watching any running content out of Kenya, thanks!
Is Matt using a glucose/HR monitor or was that a bandage on his arm?
I believe so, think he answered it in other comments
Love the content! How are you finding being on sensor? Anything you’ve found surprising or interesting?
I’ll share more in a future episode on that
Since you are in Kenya, can you give us update about the ASICS crew with Peter Bii?😊
cool information!

A little bit quiet video, but the content was good.
Some runners state that it takes at least 3 weeks to benefit from altitude. Is 2,5 weeks enough for you there?

Yes perfect, definitely recommend these ones for that
Matt looks jacked 💪🏼
Not so sure about that
Can confirm. Will make a hell of a bodybuilder after his running career. 😄
Hey Matt! I was wondering what you had on your left arm? Is that tape and why do you have it on?
Supersapiens glucose monitor
That’s a fast marathon😂 I just wanna get 10 miles under a hour, and I’m satisfied lol
What's that taped up on your arm during your sessions? Is that a sweat patch?
Supersapiens glucose monitor - doing some testing. Taped because I sweat a lot and it falls off

something off topic: the introductory part probably had the worst lighting in youtube history ☝️😉
If you don't have anything positive to say etc etc
Sorry about that, tough to find a good spot in Kenya but we’ll aim to do better next one
