@@j.vonhogen9650 the cheapest banjo I could get brand new at a shop would be 350 thats with shit synthetic skin and would be absolute trash the cheapest guitar would be 60 bucks and wouldn't be super awful but still not as bad as a cheap banjo. This is in new Zealand it may be different in other country's but here there is certainly a difference.
My first was a washburn open back (cheaper than resonator banjos) for 400, I'm about to buy a deering for 2,800. The most expensive banjos I've seen go for 10,000 to over 20,000. And yes you can find entry level banjos for 100 to 300 but the same goes for all other instruments.

@@j.vonhogen9650 the cheapest banjo I could get brand new at a shop would be 350 thats with shit synthetic skin and would be absolute trash the cheapest guitar would be 60 bucks and wouldn't be super awful but still not as bad as a cheap banjo. This is in new Zealand it may be different in other country's but here there is certainly a difference.

My first was a washburn open back (cheaper than resonator banjos) for 400, I'm about to buy a deering for 2,800. The most expensive banjos I've seen go for 10,000 to over 20,000. And yes you can find entry level banjos for 100 to 300 but the same goes for all other instruments.
