1976 saw James gang Styx and Foghat in Madison WI! Styx won the show by far and I have seen Styx 124 times (125 on July 15th) and never saw Foghat since....but I have seen Joe 25-30 times since including with the Eagles!
Whoa i remember seeing this video on RUclips back in 2007! I haven't seen this video in years thank you soo much!! I'm only 25 now but i have been a classic rock and blues fan since i was a kid. Thank you!
I was at this concert! One of my last ones before I went to THE US ARMY. My Brother and I rocked! Eddie Money opened for them- what a rocking time- should've seen faces of our neighbors when we lit up the kryppy😀 yeah and we had enough! Good Times with Brother and Friends!
I grew up in miami fl the sportatorium was out in the middle of almost the everglades. It was a big metal building with basically bleachers inside and a 2 lane road in and out but what great memories with the concerts I saw there van halen, rush, elton john, and the original skynard. It's a subdivision now full of houses.
Silveradoman61 that was not the original band u idiot don't u remember that Bob Burns was the original drummer and Ed King was the lead guitar player on the first two albums u are a real dumbass who don't know shit
I was at that show ('81?). I was really enjoying the Boys to Chat Girls to Bounce album at the time. I thought they were stoned or drunk. Terrible show. BOC was great though!
I saw this line up a couple years later in a club in Sarasota. It was a good show Dave sounded amazing as always but the other guy playing guitar was no Rod Price. To me it came up a bit short from the time i saw them in 78.
Must have been awesome! I saw them at the Forum and Long Beach Arena many times in the 70's and they always were great! The only concert I ever saw at the Swing was Steely Dan in I think 1975.
Back in 1983 I saw these guys at a small club in San Francisco. My best friend had just commited suicide. I was totally distraught and depressed. I went to see this band to snap out of it. we grew up rocking to these guys for years. They were phenomenal. I was totally and completely Stone Blue and Foghat helped me through those days. True Dedicated Love for this band always and forever.
Greg Monteiro I realize the your post is a year old but - Amen brother big influence n my life for much the same reasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 They fucking ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw these guys at the swing auditorium way back when , Eddy Money opened for them , i was against the fence about 3 feet from the stage just right of center , i stretched out as far as i could and handed Eddy a joint.
@@terrencemcgrath8478 correct I lived in Sunshine Ranches and used to ride my ATC 90 through the fire trails to the Sporthole and beat the traffic on Hollywood blvd.
I saw what was a terrible rendition of Foghat at the Keystone Palo Alto in the early 80s.. There was no Dave Peverett; only the original drummer with Eric Cartwright, and they sucked. Foghat without Dave Peverett and twelve dollars poorer culminated in an early exit a half hour into the show. I even asked for my money back to no avail. Foghat was a great band and I dug them however, without Dave, there's no Foghat. It's like seeing the fake Lynard Skynard; without Ronnie Vandzant, it's an absolute disapointment. Dave Peverett was the main ingredient and driving force in that wonderful band, Foghat
yes another great concert at the Hollywood snortatorium had a great time at the snortatorium the best concert hall that ever existed there will never be a vacility as cool as the snortatorium was sex drugs and the girls girls girls girls nobody was as cool as the snortatorium girls were

Not a nano second of low energy with this band.
Dynamite!
This is Rock & Roll the way God meant to be. Props to Craig McGregor on Bass, too
A terribly underappreciated rock band!!!
Erik was a great replacement for Rod.
I belive this is the best version of Fool For The City . love this song
True Rock And Roll !!! Brings back Sooooo many great memories of Florida 1981.
They looks so young and easy. But sounds are great!
This song screams ROCK N ROLL FOGHAT ROCKS
I saw them in the Houston Astrodome in June of '81 at The Texxas Jam. Pretty sure it was June. They killed it! Loved their set.

DANG he could sing!!! Foghat was AWESOME!! This is Rockin!
I was at this exact concert. Foghat "opened" for another band. Foghat was sooooo great I can't even remember who the "headliner" was!
Blue Oyster Cult.. both shows were filmed and recorded.. and quite a bit of the BOC recordings were used for their Extraterrestrial Live album..
You'd think as big as they were they could find a worthy replacement for Rod Price.
My first concert. Wet Willie opener. Civic Arena pgh, pa 1978
What a voice,,,RIP Dave!
Wow! They sound great here!
I agree. This line up kills here-WOW.
...Lonesome Dave was just great!
Seen them in Seattle opening for Aerosmith. Awesome
Great band. Saw them in Phoenix with Blue Oyster Cult. A lot of talent and energy

@@time2rv364 I thought they were great.
@@davidiverson2541 Well, I was at the back in the upper sections of the coliseum so maybe the sound wasn't as good. I thought it was all pretty muddy.
@tmont007 In the lead guitar is Erick Cartwright He left Foghat. Sorry my bad english
Every time they came to Portland, Maine. Foghat put on a great show.
I saw this line up a couple years later in a club in Sarasota. It was a good show Dave sounded amazing as always but the other guy playing guitar was no Rod Price. To me it came up a bit short from the time i saw them in 78.
Wow...they sound great live.,...
Freaking awesome
I saw this band in 2011 in the midwest. Great show, but really cool to buy Roger Earl a shot at the bar down the way after the show.
Chicago Auditorium 1973 with Robin Trower and Commander Cody
I saw both Foghat and Robin Trower several times in the 70's at the Ampitheater. What a great place!
Great recording. I saw this tour in Detrot. I remember the white stage. Do you have the rest of the concert?
some of the greatest hooks ever...
That bassist had moves
Fool for the city!
I was in college mid to late 70s

saw this tour at the superdome ,,awesome show, Heart ,Foghat, The Rockets, Ted Nugent and Heart.
the bassist looks like Ted Nuget and moves like him too
These guys sound more American than LSkynerd!
Skynyrd'
That's Erik Cartwright on lead guitar. Although Erik was good, I much prefer Rod "the bottle" Price...great slide player.
wtf was that move the bass player pulled at 1:21…he back peddled into the drum kit and disappeared!
Hell yes!... I notice the fishing cane pulled off the fish out the water.
Looks like Lonesome Dave gots him one a Bo Diddleys Guitars!
seen them rock it out in detroit, 1978
Drummer kinda looks like Stewart Copeland
Got to love the ol' box guitar. Who plays that any more. Maybe Jack White..who is cool as shit.
What does HQ mean? Hates quality!
