- Test runs of RBM&N 4-8-4 #2102 continued on Friday April 8th with a run from the steam shop in Port Clinton to Jim Thorpe and return. The consist was just the #2102 and a red RBM&N caboose with the railroads "Road of Anthracite" logo. The engine ran tender first back to Port Clinton, creating some unique views of the engine in reverse. Enjoy!

This engine coming back is exactly what we need to lift up our spirits again!
Lovely! You got some sweet light today, too.
Thank you Joe! The light was really nice yesterday!
This has Andy Muller Jr. at the throttle as he’s testing out the locomotive after sitting in idle for thirty-one years.
It's great he's able to run it again after all hat time. he looks a lot older. You can't restore people like you can machinery.
OOOO LOOK AT THAT BIG BEAUTIFUL GWORL!!!!OUGHH!!!!! GORGEOUS
Thanks, Belt Line Productions for your video of these 2102 test runs!! I was at work and couldn't get trackside. I was on site 31 years ago when 2102 ran test runs pulling a loaded coal train from Tamaqua to North Reading yard to prepare for the first R&N Railfan weekend in June 1991. It's on my you tube channel. Keep up the great work!!
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Handsome locomotive, excellent locations & camerawork. Back-up moves especially interesting
Magnificent machine!
we need to see this loco as Delaware and Hudson 302!
Those last two shots tho, that whistle is haunting.
Another great collection of shots!
Thanks! It was a great day!
it's great to see the 2102 back on the rails again.
Amazing for eyes and ears 👍👍👍
Woooooooop! Woooop!
The first time I rode behind it from South Hamburg to Temple in April 1988 the tender was blank before BM&R was painted on it, now it is blank again before they paint Reading and Northern on it. I rode behind it again from Emmaus to Pennsburg on Sept 7, 1991.
Another awesome video on the 2102
Very nice
Thank you!
R&N was so sure that 2102 was in such great shape that they didn't need to take along a backup engine...
Excellent video well done!
Thank you very much!
Will you be seeing 2102 on any of the Iron Horse Rambles excursions this year?
Yes, we will be chasing and riding the Iron Horse Rambles excursions later this year.
Awesome! Will there be a DVD/Blu-Ray of the excursions?
Very nice!
Thanks!
The hooter sounds a little low in pitch. Was it really cold that day? If it wasn’t then it was probably running at a lower pressure.
Weather was 50-60 degrees, and they were popping the safety valve coming down the grade into Jim Thorpe.
Awesome!!
What was the release of steam right at the end? The booster?
I believe that is the blowdown valve.
Is the engine getting Reading Rambles Paint? 2124 looks sharp in it!
That’s the plan.
They should paint it like 1985. And put the 6 chime on it. I don’t really like that high pitched whistle.
I’d rather hear the 6 chime Rambles whistle. The 6 chime sounds more beefy than the freight whistle.
there's the locomotive and How about NYC 5406.
What Steam Locomotive Restoration are you most excited for at this time?
Go 2102
