So many great songs, thanks for reminding of some songs I haven't heard in a while. And I like when you record outdoors, I few chirping birds never hurt anything.
I’m Losing You, How Do You Sleep and Tight A$ definitely top notch Lennon. That Would Be Something and Goodnight Tonight are superb. Beware of Darkness would be my favourite George moment on this list. Faster is good though. You’re Sixteen it’s one of my Ringo favourites. I remember my dad playing it when I was a kid.
You are a Go To source for great Beatles songs (solo or together) that I lost track of over the years. I just listened to "Your Love is Forever" and I'm wondering why I didn't get into it when it was released, it is so beautiful. George especially had a depth and ability I was too young to appreciate back then. "I Don't Believe You" is great, thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Thanks, John, your video sent me back to revisit Sinead’s version of Mind Games, George Harrison’s Faster and Ringo’s You’re Sixteen. Another interesting video. Looking forward to your top 25. PS, do more videos outdoors, even though there will always be leaf blower, lawn mower and grinder noises. It’s just life.
part 3 of my top 100: 50: With A Little Luck (Paul) 49: It Don't Come Easy (Ringo) 48: How? (John) 47: Hold On (John) 46: How Do You Sleep? (John) 45: (Just Like) Starting Over (John) 44: All Those Years Ago (George) 43: Got My Mind Set On You (George) 42: Live And Let Die (Paul) 41: Every Night (Paul) 40: Another Day (Paul) 39: I'd Have You Anytime (George) 38: Photograph (Ringo) 37: Monkberry Moon Delight (Paul) 36: Junk (Paul) 35: Working Class Hero (John) 34: Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five (Paul) 33: Nobody Loves You (John) 32: Let Me Roll It (Paul) 31: Blow Away (George) 30: Stuck Inside A Cloud (George) 29: Oh My Love (John) 28: If Not For You (George) 27: Cold Turkey (John) 26: I Live For You (George) 25: Mull Of Kintyre (Paul)
Nice mix of songs, many of which I will have to revisit. Nice to hear mention of Jellyfish with reference to Ringo's fine Time Takes Time album. Andy Sturmer and Roger Manning Jr's contributions were excellent. Jellyfish were a fantastic band producing two truly wonderful eclectic albums. They also did live versions of Let Em In and Jet, plus a great cover of Harry Nilsson's Think About Your Troubles for a tribute album. I think that they are one of the few bands to take the spirit of The Beatles with fabulous songs, melodies, harmonies, sympathetic musicianship and tasteful production.
I've liked the tune from Faster quite a bit but I really just recently focused on the lyrics and they really speak to me. It's very much about taking your hobby or craft as far as you can and dealing with the inevitable back biting and jealousy that comes from people not willing to do the same amount of work.
Hi John Sean asking Paul about how do you sleep is a dick move!.. Faster LOL John stop this with these awful Harrison songs! Goonight tonight is 40..faster is not a better song stop this 😂 Mind games one of johns best solo and love vid. Teddy Boy is a nothing song.. @martin Differing opinions notwithstanding, your head appears to be so far up the arse of Invisible Ray that you can’t see the florist from his trees!..
@Martin In a sad, fallen world such as ours, all roads lead (eventually) to or from the unknown comic known as Invisible Ray… Though you may not realize it or care, Ray’s spirit vibes through the tone of your words, sometimes obfuscating the obvious house etiquette, such as “Horses for courses” , which, according to our Lordly host, are castle rules!..
